I still think after all of this that Mike needs to be included in the next title if we can make that happen...and there will never be a more accurate description of Megan than "Manic." My favorite will be "Manic Megan and Milktoast Mike: Peddling Peppermint as Prophylaxis" Those oils man....miracle makers. In todays Vlog they mentioned they have insurance when Mike got a scratch - don't they have an oil for that scratch? wonder if Smeg has been reading here on the train trip and suddenly mentioned health insurance after we talked about it.

Also don't know why Mike had to mention in a snarky tone "Eve is always last" - yes Mike she probably is, she probably finds all the walking and climbing difficult and is a special needs child.

Poor Eve looks so over this trip, totally feed up and definitely like she don't want to be there - Meg is the one who wanted to see Peru so badly she should have gone on her own!

They keep mentioning Eve struggling -most parents would have an contingency planin case one their children struggled or got sick but oh no not Smag and Pike.

Also wet llamas probably smell as bad as Smeg does after she applies all her snake oils.

So their hotel wasn't good enough (sad in Smegs words) so the made the kids stay up so they could go back to their nicer Air b'n'b - your kids just had a massive day of travel, climbing and walking - wouldn't you just suck it up of one night so they could go to sleep and rest?

Wow...seeing them sitting on the train Esters back is WAY worse then I thought. There is NO WAY there isn't a back brace that can help that sweet girl. If Pearl is truly on of a kind I feel a bit more leniency on treatment, her options might involve possible paralysis if they try to manipulate something, but Esters scoliosis needs attention,there is NO excuse for that.

Megan's speech in the beginning about going to Machu Picchu is very telling of her personality and narcissism. This isn't news to any of us, but maybe some of the Knorpp Dorpps who drool over them might notice this time.

You are in an enclose space (van) with all the ears of all the children listening....

"This is something "I" always wanted to do. "I" never thought "I" would have the opportunity to do something like this. This is "my" dream of coming here." "I can't believe "I" am able to do this."........

What would have been amazing to hear: "This is something I always wanted to do. I never thought I would be afforded the opportunity to experience this with my family. To share such a magical experience with my husband and children is something I will never forget. I am so grateful to be here..."

Lets face it, we ALL have our own hopes and dream. It's okay that they are doing something she has always wanted to do...it's just the lack of concern, empathy, and regard for EVERYONE and EVERYTHING else around this "epic" and "magical" dream trip that makes it hard to watch and accept from our perspective. I call bull**** that nothing can be done to help the girls. Scoliosis CAN be helped!! Not getting those girls help is abuse!!!

Pearl has some very unique thing where yeah I can imagine some doctor said at one check up its not worth the risk to do surgery but if she were my kid you know damn well she'd have regular check ups with a family doctor and at least annual ones with a spine specialist to monitor everything especially since she's growing.

One that would be a risky surgery we shouldn't do that years ago does not equal a lifetime of medical. How can they not get that!!!!

And they come up with new techniques all the time. Something that was impossible 5 years ago, could maybe be done now. I would never leave a child in pain without exhausting every avenue. There are even doctors who do things pro bono because the vlog brings publicity, which gets $$ for research.

I would pay big money to know what the kids that really remember China think about their family. Even without knowing what what their life was like I'm positive some aspects have been hugely improved even with Meggy as a mom, but things like the giant family and Mormonism and their lack of schooling. I know they never went to traditional American school but they would have gone to school in China and education there is really really important in general (may not have been for orphans but the culture is revere teachers and value education as a whole).

It seriously bugs me how they treat Eve as if she's the same age as Jude.

Jude had to "wait and see" after his eyes lit up over the Pikachu hat, but Megan can buy a ton of crap that she doesn't need and that they will struggle to pack, seriously Megan, he absolutely fell in love with that hat!

Most recent vlog with Mike carrying Eve because they "don't want to hear it...not today..." FFS, you KNOW she struggles with lots of walking and climbing, yet you drag her on trips that require it and then whine because she gets fed up and is vocal about it! What happened to the backpack seats that they bought a while back, so that they could carry Eve & Jude on this type of thing if they needed to?

They screwed up their trip due to lack of planning yet act like they're such amazing travellers, ha! The pair of them are so selfish!

THIS! She straight up admitted this wasn't a trip for the family or 'for the kids christmas' like she pushed so hard before they left. We all knew it was what SHE wanted to do, but it was so awful hearing her straight up admit it. The kids just look like they're completely miserable or sick, or both, in every single shot we see of them.

When the food choices at one point were 'some chinese looking place' or a fast food chicken restaurant ... i immediately knew they'd be at that chicken restaurant.

Eve literally made the exact same noise twice in a row and Mike 'interpreted' two different sentences, they just make up whatever they want her to be saying it's so hard to watch, and believe they watch and post them treating their child like that (as others have said, complaining about Eve being upset/complaining/not wanting to walk up/down steep areas)

HOW could they not have looked up reviews for the hot springs beforehand with all Mike's 'research'? You're expecting us to believe while in Peru walking the streets you all decided to look up reviews on the devices you admitted you didn't have reception for? Okay, Meggers.

I also find it hard to believe, AGAIN, that they didn't research some restaurants that were kid-friendly or had 'good reviews' in the areas they knew they would be eating lunch/dinner out. You used your new data to double check the reviews of a site you had "already researched" instead of figuring out how to feed 8 kids??? After a full day of walking and hiking, no visible snacks or water in any clips, you're gonna make everyone walk past the car TWICE to find somewhere that 'looks good'. It baffles me.

Smaller, probably nit-picky thing (but watching three of their videos back-to-back does that), I find it off-putting that in the description it says 'our 8 kids' instead of '8 of our kids' like it used to...

That being said, Machu Picchu did look very beautiful, i wish all the kids were old enough to appreciate being able to see a site like that in person, I wouldn't imagine being able to visit. I do appreciate the amount of scenery and sweeping views Mike puts into the vlog when Megan's face isn't taking up most of the screen.

I think the scenery shots are why I'm still watching, Peru is beautiful and they are very good at choosing the right music to put with the shots, I'll give them that

I did laugh when they asked the kids which bit they liked best, you could clearly see none of them were that enthused apart from golden child number 2 who has to act like he's so clever and so liked it all

What in dental hell is going on with the Chosen One: part 2’s teeth here? Why does it look like there are chunks all over them? Does he have braces she colored out? I’ve never noticed how jacked up his teeth are.

While I have enjoyed seeing the sites vicariously through the vlogs, it is just infuriating how the kids have been treated. The only time you see them with drinks is at restaurants. The blue lips/elevation sickness...there were SO MANY warnings from YouTube comments they HAD to have seen them. This is the Megan and Mike shit show and they are all just along for the very bumpy ride

Invisalign isn't totally invisible and isn't super thin. Also some people have these bracket type things on underneath too. I've known lots of people that have had it IRL and my coworker currently has it and it looks exactly like that.

Edit: Also find it interesting that Megan bragged about 9 kilos of Laundry being 'only' $15usd for it to be washed and returned in 2 days, calling that 'pretty dang cheap'. I live NYC and that's about the same price I would get here except back the same day (today i paid $15 for 22lbs, wash dry fold, by 5pm).

I've never been to South America, let alone done laundry there, but I feel like they might have been ripped off since they were obviously tourists running out of clean clothes. Maybe it is just more expensive there, but i still thought it was funny she was bragging about the price for a 2 day wait
