“Most” is an overstatement. Thinking of all the YouTube families I watch/follow here:
- Cullen & Katie : neither works outside of social media even though they have stated recently they are $100k in debt, behind on mortgage, bills, can barely pay for gas/groceries.
DailyBumps: I guess you could claim he works on music but... what is that without YouTube following?
Ellie and Jared: don’t even apparently YouTube anymore. Think they can live off their fairly unsuccessful clothing brand.
Bonnie and Joel: they still do videos but seem to think they could also lean more heavily on above business.
Deru Crew: Landon is a perpetual student. Julie refuses to use her nursing degree.
Britneyand Baby: I guess Frank is a firefighter but I don’t know how much money they make, or how often he actually work (seems less and less from what I read here.)

Basically the whole of family youtube is a mess of people making money off of their children.

So she's advertising Lilia's girl scout cookies in her YouTube description now. I don't see how this is ok with the girl scouts and she didn't teach Lilia anything at all by asking fans to buy them from her.

Agree. And I don't care how much she makes she throws it away as soon as she gets it. If not they would be doing videos on financial planning, that could have been her or Chris channel instead of Just Jess.

I hate that they make money off exploiting their kids. Hollywood has rules against it but YouTube allows it and these kids are working for their parents.

Even when people like Jess thank the subscribers its all fake. Without a channel they would both have to get jobs. Then again I guess now Mimi and Glenn can help support them.

1. Adblock is your friend.
2. Don't watch. I rarely watch her videos. The descriptions I get from people here are enough. I do look at her insta but I don't follow her

I wouldn't call YouTube welfare. She does do some sort of work. I would not call her a freeloader either. She is putting forth an effort to be successful. She is giving her viewers a reality show and in that vein would you call the Kardashian's freeloaders? They have a reality show too with considerably less work, the only difference is the traditional format and bigger reach and audience.

Also, freeloaders means they are taking something from their viewers without providing something in return. They do provide entertainment, dubious as it may be.

What is shitty and pisses me off is how she is exploiting those kids. Of course you could aruge that they are freeloading off their kids, but their kids also benefit. I just hope they someday sue Jess' ass off.

So she cooked a meal and she presented it to Chris with that stupid sweeping hand motion she does. He was so impressed, especially that she didn’t burn it. We all know she (or Chris) should be cooking almost nightly. Yet for them it’s a big, big deal. Smh.

I love how in her recent vlog she does this big performance about getting Lilia to practice selling Girl Scout cookies but says Lilia won’t do the selling yet as they’re only doing pre orders. I bet Lilia won’t knock on anyone’s door to try and sell them. I don’t know how Jess thinks this is teaching Lilia an important life lesson. The girls walking around and talking to people have put in the work, Lilias done a one minute video for Instagram. There’s no comparison.

There are so many signs that photo isn’t accurate.
Her hands aren’t in the same place in each photo. Which can drastically change angles and shape. Add on her different stance. The different background.
Plus the obvious photo shop. She just got back from Hawaii and we all know she got sun. Even then she isn’t that damn pale.

so basically this entire video was an ad for Lilia's girl scouts cookies. Jess has no shame, she's just ugh, so lazy and annoying.

I started laughing when Jess said "it's time to declutter", meaning, putting away those ridiculous skeletons in a box. have you guys seen the humongous
pile of boxes and clutter downstairs by the stairs? how can they possibly live like that??? and the filth behind the couch?? ew.
Talking about priorities, Addie screaming and yelling at Lilia in the background was just unacceptable, but Jess obviously didn't care to correct that behaviour. filming her vlog was way more important than parenting.

also, I don't buy it, not even for a second that Lilia actually went door to door. she didn't film any of it and I'm 100% certain that she would have if it were true. She films the most inappropriate things, she would have filmed a segment or two of them going door to door. Instead, she filmed herself and the girls walking in their front yard.
