Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
What do we know about her parents and upbringing? I'm sorry but in my entire life I've only met once a woman who had more than 5 kids and was well balanced without any deep psychological problem.
Angie and her sister are apparently both on a baby race. It's 'who's going to have more sooner?' with these two. Screams family issues to me. What void in their life are they trying to fill with babies?

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
The noise levels in their vlogs drive me up the wall. It clearly shows how they can not occupy their children proficiently or teach them anything. The twins are a train wreck to begin with. I just wanna take Rosie and put her in a home that has maybe one or 2nextra kids where she can get the attention she needs and deserves. It must be sensory overload constantly for her. And actually for every child in their household.
They certainly jumped on the Cullen&katie bandwagon with the debt thing

I ended up watching, the list comes across as tips for 1%-ers to save a few bucks. Most people don’t get bow subscriptions, and most of her other subs were gifted by sponsors. We got Loot Crate in my house for five years, I knew very well it cost me $50 every three months. When I look for tips to save money, I don’t consider frivolous extras. Give back apps like Rakuten can end up costing more for most people. I can buy a pair of Nike shoes for $40 on Amazon or $60 directly from a Nike store. There’s your 30% difference.WheresMyCoffee wrote:She's just phoning it in at this point, her newest "money saving tips" video is laughable, wow in 2020 someone is actually sharing to "cut your cable" as if that hasnt been the number one suggestion of budgeters everywhere for the last 10 years. I feel like she watched the popularity Cullen and Katie are getting over their new series and she jumped on that bandwagon, the whole "I'll share the numbers, who even cares?!" well youtubers have always been notorious for beating around the bush and never sharing actual numbers, until C&K (big youtubers I mean)
So, to save you from giving her views.
1.cut cable
2.cancel subscriptions you no longer use, she cancelled $200 worth this month
3.use apps that give you points/cash back
4. Costco, eating out they go to Costco because the pizza is $10, or the kids get hot dogs.
5. Th kids are each in one activity and put the kids in "homeschool days" that gyms, rec centres etc that have cheap days for homeschooled kids during the week.
Eye opening. Wow, who knew!
I was hoping for more practical things, like limiting shower times to save water, or having a “no electricity” hour a day that’s spent outside. I’ve never seen her kids eat off a real plate, only paper. The truth is, they use a lot of resources and have no apologies. I get it, it’s hard with a family of 10. But videos meant to show me how to save money come across as disingenuous and phony. I haven’t watched today’s video about whether or not they will move. Interesting that comes right after a bunch of declutter and budgeting videos. She is very calculated in the content she puts out, I’m not sure I really care for it.

^^^^ Wanted to clarify, I wasn’t saying I didn’t care for it, as in her content. Her content is fine, it’s what she wants to put out. It’s the fake best friend facade that she uses.

Yes, exactly. I think anyone who wants to save money money immediately knows to cancel cable and any sort of subscriptions, whether that be magazine, streaming services or box/food subs.Tweedles3 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 10:04 amI ended up watching, the list comes across as tips for 1%-ers to save a few bucks. Did anyone watch? Is she moving? I imagine yes.
Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
No plans for an immediate move. “For now” they plan to work on contentment and making the space they have work better for them. Do it on a Dime is helping organize.
They like the idea of a house “with a better layout” more open the way large new homes are.
And yes, everything is so calculated. Laid out. It’s becoming predictable. She gives hints and “moves us” in a direction. I think her new assistant is working with her (or freeing time up for her to) focus on content planning. Nothing wrong with that- but it does make the journey seem more planned and less genuine.

Is she addressing us in the first min and a half? of her new vlog.....On her second channel
I totally get that 8 kids is a lot of work but she literally chose to have that many.this whole “oh there is a fertility issue let’s just adopt and never stop” is just very unreasonable
Don’t complain about your workload you brought it on yourself Angie

She is so defensive in the video she just posted on her second channel. "I'm sure some of YOU have too much of some things but it's not right to judge others spending habits blah blah blah". She's just mad that people are calling her out for all of the stuff that she has that it specifically for herself, while the rest of her family lives much more minimally.

It totally made me laugh honestly. I had to comment on her video. Not sure if she has to approve it or notlefargen97 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 9:55 am She is so defensive in the video she just posted on her second channel. Yeah, Noah and Jonah don’t even have enough clothing for day to day! One can claim they’ve destroyed it all (I have 6 kids, I get it!) but you have been getting yourself stuff why not keep up with their need?
And of course she will “thrift with me” for the boys. But her closet is expensive “ethical” clothing.

''Open concept'' and big family is not match-made in heaven. Humongous space without walls blocking the noise is a nightmare.Freecali wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 8:12 pm No plans for an immediate move. “For now” they plan to work on contentment and making the space they have work better for them. I like their home. I don't think it is too small for them and they have nice-sized yard. Working on contentment sounds like a good plan. Getting rid of unnecessary crap is also way to open up more room in the house.

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
Her dad's FB is pretty public. He is a major trump supporter. They seemed to have normal lives, if not a bit sheltered by their mom. I dont get what the heck happened to them to make them to want such crazy big familiesLyanna wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 11:47 am What do we know about her parents and upbringing? I totally agree! There's so much privilege in that statement. Not everyone lives like you, Angie!lefargen97 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 9:55 am She is so defensive in the video she just posted on her second channel. I love their house, I hope they dont move. I much prefer watching people make what they work have (especailly in a house that size) than moving to a brand new house.

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
I have a feeling she will put him with the older boys. Maybe get a set of bunk beds? Or maybe she wants to move by then and plans to move in like 2 years. I agree I like their house though and like they haven’t movedLisaLulu22 wrote:Where will they put Benji when they finally stop bedsharing though?
If they have the money they could do a small one room addition for him to their home. They have the land! (Or use the addition for the twins to give them more room since they share and give Benji the twins room)

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
I think the fact the twins are still bedsharing, it’s not going to happen for awhile with Benji, either. They’ve never come out with their current sleeping situation, but I have a hunch Angie sleeps in the master with the twins and CR sleeps in the twins room with Benji. Or another combination, but I feel certain Angie and CR are not in the same room at night.LisaLulu22 wrote:Where will they put Benji when they finally stop bedsharing though?
I do really love their house, too. I remember watching when the twins were scooting around on their green scooters, and the boys pushing them around in Cozy Coupes. That is so lucky to have that much space to ride those in the house. They have three spacious areas downstairs for the kids to split up and have some quiet time away from each other. The only drawbacks in my mind is no basement (I think), and they seem to have drainage issues that they can’t control. But their home itself has an nice layout and no one has to sleep on the first level alone. If they stay, I think the older girls may have to share a room again someday, and Benji would get his own room. I could see all three boys on the third level and the older girls in the boys’ current room. I do think they will move eventually, just maybe not this year.

I think Kennedys room isnt technically a room though. Her “room” is just the third floor landing. She doesnt have a door to her room.

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
Ideas for Benjamin's room: Put him in with Rosie and show her how to care for him, as she is dearly wanting to fit in and wants some sort of attention (sarcasm). Let the Twins have the entire family room since they sleep there most of the time, already has built in T.V., near kitchen etc? Put Rosie in the new office in backyard?LisaLulu22 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 8:10 am Where will they put Benji when they finally stop bedsharing though?

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
How can she cope with so few baby clothes? She spends so much on herself yet her kids don't have many clothes her twins are always in the those pink and blue outfits.
