Bonnie Hoellein: YouTube is ending, I can't stop spending | Part #58

Their channel is seeing a drop in views and I'm not sure if it is due to COPPA or other reason. This past week they had 922,555 views and that's the lowest number I've seen. Today they had a total of 127,000 views and this is low too. They really have a lot riding (regarding income) on Bollie with E&J leaving vlogging and their channel's decreasing views. On her IG, she complained about the Super Bowl being boring and it was a great game, but she probably should look at her lower views might mean her viewers are bored? I guess if she filmed/vlogged them watching the game, it will be boring. To me, this shows you really need a Plan B if you are a YouTube creator since this is not a dependable job or income.

Clearly, she's bored because she probably has no interest in football. Just like I'm bored whenever she does a vlog taking two hours putting on makeup. All I think as it's being done is let your skin breath and stop putting on layer, upon layer of crap on your face, especially when your skin is already screaming at you with Rosacea. I'm really surprised she allows Joel to watch football, if she isn't interested. She controls every other aspect of his life, why not this.

Driving is a responsibility you take serious and "more than five tickets" for speeding you can't excuse at his age especially since he's driving young kids. He can't remember getting tickets. They have filmed one time he was pulled over for speeding coming home from the airport where he got a warning and another ticket was on Bonnie's IG Stories not that long ago. I guess this is filming for the memories. I'd be furious if I was his spouse for the cost of the tickets and an increase in their car insurance, but also for not changing your driving habits with this many tickets. The whole getting ready with Joel scene was not necessary either.
Bonnie is concerned about her thin hair and I doubt this is going to be a temporary problem?

She may want to watch what she is sharing on YouTube. I don't think her kids can be working a real job at their age. Law says children under 14 can work paper routes, lawn care. The US has different rules than China and I know they are probably ok with child labor for their clothing line. That's not how it is here (not acceptable anywhere), but the US does have laws and I'm pretty sure this may be a problem.

Now to his opening scene-thanks for letting us know about his bathing routine. His little speech about DMV was incorrect in my state. We go to the DMV for both the license and to register our vehicle. We do our license at a State Police headquarters. Joel should have a perfect score since he was taking it open book! lol

I am starting to think laws just don't exist in Utah. You'd think the federal government would still frown upon employing first graders when they found their pay stubs. Not to mention that the only consequence for repeated dangerous driving is a short open book quiz the next time your license expires? In most states they start requiring safe driving courses, suspended licenses, etc. No wonder they have no concept of motor vehicle safety in that state.

Joel has to be max 5'2" right? He seems shorter than Ruby, and she is "barely 5'2". That family looks deceptively tall because they are so far below the average height for Americans.

I actually liked this post of hers on IG. It's pretty much what I said at one point. People don't give a shit so stop giving a shit about them giving a shit. She's using this because she really has nothing else new or interesting to post about and this seems to be what is a big deal to her and good for her for continuing with the class since it's February and she's going.

Also people take selfies of themselves everywhere. I don't think it's odd for someone who has a business on SM taking pictures like this. I'd rather this than a staged a picture.

I find Bonnie such a contradiction at times. On one hand she was extremely upset because she was sure she was being judged harshly by the others in exercise class because she turned up late. But she seemingly doesn’t give a damn what thousands of people see her do on the regular. Having her children lick her armpits, filming herself in a drugged state, sharing her bodily functions with us, soft porn with Joel, etc, etc. but nearly has a breakdown about the judgement from a handful of people in an exercise class.

I’m assuming it’s because she doesn’t “see” us and our horror filled faces as she lurches from one act of stupidity to another, where as her class is filled with actual people, and she’s just not used to that.

One of the first videos I watched of Bonnie's was Joel's birthday (Surprise Birthday Party). I went back and took a peek at it and what a change in this family from 2015. This vlog showed a young family where Bonnie had a surprise party because Joel took care of them (working at P&G) and she gave him a new iPad that was a nicer gift for them to give a few years ago. I remember watching this thinking oh how nice she has this side job with her channel and it has given her some spending money to buy the iPad and cater a birthday party. Joel was grateful for his family taking time to come to the party including his parents and brother who were there.
They also were seeing a lot more views with almost two hundred thousand->2015 Joel birthday vlog and today's video, so far, they've had thirteen thousand views. A Joel birthday trip to Florida for his birthday years ago didn't happen since they were without a Bri, Joel worked full-time and multiple trips during the year without children is now normalized.

I watched the vlog and I couldn't help but giggle like a school girl when Joel complained "Jared really failed to eat all the meat he was required to me." Maybe the presence of Grandpa Griffs ruined the mood.

I agree it is hard to dismiss the years of problems filming parts of her life that exploited her children or after her surgery and this went on for years resulting in their channel be demonetized. My opinion is Bonnie is trying to retain her audience or viewers by trying to be more relatable. But I think that ship has sailed and they'll need to adjust to lower views and decrease YouTube income since I think she lost a good portion of her viewers by filming what you described in your message. It wasn't just YouTube turning comments off that caused their channel views to go down.
