The behavior I see on this forum is really unhealthy. There are a lot of really unhappy, negative and hateful people here. I don’t understand this need to nitpick at everything the Knorpps do and say. Are you all perfect? Have you never made a mistake as parents, travelers, or just human beings? They are putting their life online and of course need to be open to criticism but seriously? Calling her a narcissist all the time, talking badly about her children (Andrew, Asher, Peter), calling her neglectful and both her and Mike stupid? That’s hateful. You don’t know them, and despite all the things I don’t like about them they honestly seem like really nice and fun people.
There are a lot of things I don’t like about these people but they are all based around things I know as facts. My two main issues are Pearl and Esthers back issues, and Eve and Judes education.
But I’m not going to watch Megan, who is so excited to buy a bunch of stuff, and call her a manic and a narcissist who has a shopping problem. Wow, a white middle aged, upper middle class woman going to Peru to buy souvenirs??? What a horrible crime!!!! Some of you guys really need to chill out and relax. Focus on stuff that’s actually worth getting upset about, like the girls backs or Jude acting like a 5 year old.

If you look at what tier they were (blue diamond) with DoTerra, both Mike and Megan we’re pulling around $400k a year. That’s by definition “upper-middle class.” Saying she’s not “classy” is missing the point. They are very wealthy, and enjoy that wealthy by traveling.

I actually agreed with her that just because she's an American tourist with an iPhone that costs more than he might make in 3 months doesn't mean he has any right to keep it. I also agree that it wasn't out of line to call that stealing since they did everything right in trying to get it back and those attempts were actively avoided. I may have said I left my phone in the uber and the guy wouldn't respond to give it back but I wouldn't judge someone I liked for someone summarizing that as steal.

What drove me up the wall was how that was like the most exciting thing that happened and how she had to tell the story like 100 times and use it as clickbait and film so much of it. I agree that it really showed her disgusting side.

Also hilarious that Cusco is their favourite, but all really because the airbnb is up to their standards and they can leave the kids there to use the fast wifi and go shopping, but can also take the kids out on a quick sightseeing excursion to get some content. They are absolutely not travellers at all which is why Europe and the beginning of this trip failed so hard.

I’m jealous of people critiquing Megan? Makes no sense. And yes, it’s an MLM but they made a ton of money doing it and like it or not, that is where the majority of their income comes from, not YouTube. I was pointing that out simply to refute the statement that they aren’t doing YouTube for any reason but to make money. I’m saying that’s not completely true because most of their money doesn’t come from YouTube.


I don’t love the Knorpps because, like I keep saying, some of their kids are clearly not having their needs fully met (eve, Jude, both girls) but you can’t know for a fact she isn’t putting in effort into their education. Their vlogs are maybe showing us an hour or two of 1-2 days a week. You can’t possibly know what she is or isn’t doing for the rest of the kids with unschooling. In NC and Utah, every homeschooled child has to take a standardized test every year to prove they are meeting educational requirements. If these weren’t being met, they wouldn’t still be homeschooled.. so I choose to believe based on FACTS, that some type of effort is being put into their kids education. I don’t think it’s sufficient for Eves needs, and that is 1 reason I don’t like Megan.

As a reasonable person, I’m not going to openly mock, hate, or Nitpick and criticize everything this women does because of a few things I don’t agree with. It’s weird that a lot of people here feel the need to do so.

You don’t really seem to understand what’s going on here. Do you? I don’t hate Megan. Actually, I care very little about Megan either way. I don’t waste enough energy on her to hate her. What I do however “hate” is injustice. Injustice really bothers me. She has used a clickbait title to say her phone was stolen by her Uber driver, when the reality is that she dropped the phone in his car. The only thing we know he didn’t do was answer her calls when she tried to contact him.
So let’s put ourselves in his position by examining what we do know. He dropped her off at an unknown location and by her own admission he didn’t know the actual property they entered. We know she called her phone. We know he didn’t answer. However, we don’t know why. We can assume that he did not know it was her calling. It could have been any random person. He possibly didn’t speak English. He possibly didn’t know how to answer it. How was he going to explain to someone - if he didn’t speak English - that he was her Uber driver and she’d left the phone in his car. She mentioned somewhere that the car had been stationary for 20 minutes, so this wasn’t a huge time frame.
We know that when they went to his home he cane straight out to them. Yes he had 2 phones in his pocket, but do we know one was Megan’s? He showed her something in the car. Was he trying to explain something? We don’t know. Can we say without certainty he was not trying to arrange to return the phone? Can we say for certain he was?
Despite all of these unanswered questions, Megan and her supporters are unwavering in their conviction that he stole the phone. I cannot be so certain and hating injustice, rather than hating Megan, I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. In spite of this, I am the one accused of having unhealthy and creepy levels of hate. If I was such a hate-liked person, I doubt I would give this man the benefit of the doubt.
You ask if it’s normal to have hate for a person you don’t know? Like Megan, you seem to have a lot of hate for an Uber driver you don’t know, despite the fact she left her phone in his car, meaning he was in possession of the only means of contact he had for her and by her own admission, he didn’t know where she was staying.
Do you see my problem here?
Now as far as them spending money goes. You can check through my posts if you so wish and if you do, you’ll probably find I don’t say a lot about the money they spend. I don’t care what she spends. I do hate however that she bought Eve a second-hand toy at Christmas or that she wouldn’t buy Jude a simple Pikachu hat while she spends all her money on herself.

I’m not jealous in any way. I have a beautiful home, with everything I need. I don’t want for anything. In two weeks time, my daughters are heading to New York together (from UK) -this was their Christmas present. When they return from there, one of them is going to London. Believe me, there is nothing Megan has, that I would possibly want. I don’t envy their lifestyle. I pity it.
I actually look at the work my 18 yr old does in school ((UK) where she studies Maths, Chemistry and Biology to Alevel snd it actually breaks my heart that children like the Knorrps will never have that opportunity. My other daughter studied English, History and RE to Alevel and is now at Uni. Again, it breaks my heart that a child like Andrew who Megan tells us loves literature etc will never get a chance to study like that.
Jealous. Absolutely not! Sad? Yes. They’ve been to Peru but what have they actually experienced? They’ve been sat in cars with devices. They’ve visited tourist destinations. They’ve eaten chicken and pizza.
My kids are going to New York - alone. They’ll make their own choices about what they want to do there. They’ll travel around alone. They’ll do what they want. They’ll make their own choices. It will be an amazing learning experience for them.
I’m not jealous of Megan. I pity her. She thinks she’s enlightened and intelligent and all the rest. She hasn’t got a clue. Anyone who sees her as otherwise deserves as much pity as she does.

If you are reasonable, Im sure you will agree.
Everyone has different experiences in life that they bring to the table.
Im sure that the ppl who post here see things that megan does that alarm them, that might not alarm others.
Those not alarmed, just havent had the experiences as those who are that help them see the weird behavior.

We don't know what the Uber driver was going to do we can just make assumptions based off of what we've seen. I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that he was going to keep the phone, but if people want to give him the benefit of the doubt that's fine too. No use arguing about it because she got her phone back in the end anyways and we can't read his thoughts to know what he was planning to do. I also don't care about personal rants about anyone's lives (no offense), and it seems off-topic to the conversation.

Anyways, one thing I don't understand is why Megan and Mike chose to have so many kids, when they ditch them every chance they get. I swear they go out on their own every day. I feel like Esther takes care of Eve and Jude more than their own parents.

Re: the "phone caper" ... I just wonder why the uber driver chose to sit down inside the car instead of just leaning over to "look" for the phone. He also was "sending the phone calls to voicemail" which meant he was hitting the "End" button when the phone calls came through. All smartphones have similar layouts. And for anyone concerned about not blurring out this guy, or the random child (who's to say it was his kid?), or where he walked out of (who's to say he lived there?), or his license plate (who's to say it was his car?), if you view him as "innocent" then why would there be any need to hide his identity? She may have dropped the phone. He may have picked it off her person. Who knows? All we know is she claims to have tried to reach him via his uber phone number, and he did not answer. Then he purposefully hit the button to silence the phone when it was sounding the "find me" alarm. So he had it in his possession. He sure as hell wasn't expecting them to show up! He obviously didnt have the sense to shut the phone off, duh! And like someone said, when Mike was peering into the windows of the car, if it was visible he would have pointed it out- like no wonder the phone's location showed the same place for 20 mins! But it doesn't add up.

And Uber is not a job with employees- everyone is a contractor. They are not guaranteed salary or an hourly wage. They can choose when they work and for how long. It's a side gig. Not really intended to be a "full time job." That's why they only hire people as contractors.

And if he loses his "job" because of their video footage documenting the whole thing? More respect to Uber, then. Just the fact that he ignored every telephone attempt there was to reach him, he is not even doing a good job! Uber/Lyft has a sketchy reputation, as does any taxi service. Hopping in strangers' cars, you need to have your guard up! She probably appeared distracted, traveling "alone" without her husband, just a bunch of kids in the back, maybe also with a ton of food leftovers!

She has already gotten "taken" so many times during this trip. Like the watercolor story as her uber pulled up- meanwhile she was waiting to get her 30 soles in change back. This guy approached her at an awkward time to sell her the watercolor, and she was supposed to be getting into the uber. He pressed her to buy it today as he wouldn't be back tomorrow- "just give me the 30 soles from your change!" She claims he said. Then, "that's only ten bucks!" She didn't think it was a coincidence that the watercolor just happened to cost as much as the change she was getting back? Lol

And what's up with her not wanting to haggle? That's the ultimate THRIFT shopping. Just bc it's "cheap" to her in US dollars, doesn't mean she couldn't get a better deal!

I couldn't believe how she was placing those pillowcases directly onto the floor in that one shop! Lol

But I do think it's wrong to personally nitpick the children- it doesn't make us look very mature, and it's actually really inappropriate. Screenshots of Andrew's teeth? For crying out loud. I would be mortified. We should be better than that.

I don't care if he kept the phone or not. In places like that where money is scarce he could have fed his family for a year by selling that phone. A thousand dollar Iphone is gold to people with little or no money. It's not his fault she is totally loco and misplaced her phone and that awful hat too. But to make an entire 30 minute video shaming him and repeating the same story over and over in that 30 minutes is what is truly horrific. And to see her reactions as her children "bother" her while ranting about a stupid cell phone in that video shows a really disgusting side of herself. Also praying for it to rain so a dog tied up outside barking for attention will be quiet shows she clearly lacks empathy. I would have fed and watered the poor thing.

Are you really saying that she should've let an uber driver keep HER phone that SHE BROUGHT with her own damn money, because he may or may not be poor? All signs point towards him lying about him having plans to return it to her. you see in the video that he had her phone in his pocket (very clearly he had 2 phones in his pocket), then he said that "it fell" in the car, but he had it in his hand?. My argument is about the fact that she accuses the man of stealing the phone, when she admits herself she somehow left it in her car and then decides with no absolute proof, that he was keeping it and not returning it it.
She makes a vlog with a clickbait title about how her Uber driver stole her phone and then posts his identity, his car, his home and what could be his children on YouTube?
People don’t see what’s wrong with that?
The burden of proof in a court of law is beyond reasonable doubt. I couldn’t find this man guilty on the basis of the evidence I have seen. Why not? Well for one, she left it in the car. For another, I have only heard her side of the story - he wasn’t given the opportunity to defend himself. There is evidence which could point either way. Additionally, the man did not know where she lived to return the phone, nor did he have any means of contacting her because he had her phone. He had no way of knowing that the person who was calling her phone was her. He very probably assumed it was someone trying to contact her and not someone trying to contact him.
In the end, he and the other people at his home which she followed him to, were more than helpful and gave the phone straight back to her. He didn’t try to conceal the fact he had the phone. He didn’t switch it off. He showed her inside the car and he handed her back her phone.
He didn’t steal the phone and whether he intended to keep it or not, we cannot say. Megan assumes the worst and then exercises her power in the situation to denigrate the man. We know he didn’t steal it in the first instance, because she herself admits that. If his intentions were to keep the phone, you might have an argument to say she is justified in accusing him of stealing. I don’t think she is and that doesn’t mean I think he is right to keep it. What if she is wrong? What if he was trying to make arrangements to return it? He couldn’t call her. He didn’t know which property she had entered? What could he do to get it back to her immediately? If there is any possibility that he did not intend to keep it, then she has wronged him.
She could have simply said she lost her phone and was trying to recover it. However, she very specifically chose to say he stole it. Where she doesn’t know that as absolute, it’s my belief that it’s unfair.
I’m sorry if that makes me a bad person. Megan has a YouTube platform and Instagram and whatever else to air her side of the story. The man from Cusco probably doesn’t even know he’s been publicly accused. That seems unfair - especially as she was the idiot who lost the phone in the first place!
How can those defending her not see the irony in that?
In any case, we have now spent two days discussing the phone and I’m sure people are sick listening to it. It rather detracts from the chaos that is their lives. Maybe, that’s her aim.

This is not a court of law, it's a gossip site. There is no need for a burden of proof worth convicting someone, because it's not that deep. People are allowed to have their opinions, and if some think he was intending to keep the phone that's their prerogative and none of this matters because it will probably never even affect his life, and none of us with opinions will ever meet him. Like you said earlier, he probably doesn't even know that he was publicly accused. I agree that Megan is not worth defending and I think she was wrong to film the incident, but let's not act like we are lawyers trying to convict someone of a crime. No need for holier than thou attitudes on a gossip site of all places.

I don't care if he kept the phone or not. In places like that where money is scarce he could have fed his family for a year by selling that phone. A thousand dollar Iphone is gold to people with little or no money. It's not his fault she is totally loco and misplaced her phone and that awful hat too. But to make an entire 30 minute video shaming him and repeating the same story over and over in that 30 minutes is what is truly horrific. And to see her reactions as her children "bother" her while ranting about a stupid cell phone in that video shows a really disgusting side of herself. Also praying for it to rain so a dog tied up outside barking for attention will be quiet shows she clearly lacks empathy. I would have fed and watered the poor thing.

Are you really saying that she should've let an uber driver keep HER phone that SHE BROUGHT with her own damn money, because he may or may not be poor? I would've done the same thing as Megan, because its MY PROPERTY. All signs point towards him lying about him having plans to return it to her. you see in the video that he had her phone in his pocket (very clearly he had 2 phones in his pocket), then he said that "it fell" in the car, but he had it in his hand?. Look honestly, I don't care for Megan, to me she was better in her RV days, however, I don't care how rich or poor anyone is being broke isn't an excuse to be dishonest at someone else's expense, no matter how much of a lunatic she is. Megan was in the right, and I don't say that often especially when it comes to family vloggers

I couldn't care less about the phone or where it ended up in the end. I just thought the whole video shaming rant was disgusting and showed the real person behind the phoney Youtube/Instagram facade. And to risk going to a "shady" area where they clearly don't speak the language while leaving all the kids unattended back at the Airbnb is a risk I wouldn't take! Not even for the sake of "content" would I ever put my children at risk!!!!

I'm not jealous of her life or riches at all. I love my life. I am however worried and disgusted about the time and energy she puts into everything other than her children!!
