And you’re right, they never actually eat them - they get the family dinners yet always make them during the day when the kids are at school. I suspect Mindy gags on the vegetables.
I feel like I recall ONE time they actually served it to the kids and they claimed they liked it but again, no footage. It’s definitely one of their more disingenuous brand deals.

I was fully expecting them to ask Hazyl where she wanted to go to college so it wasn’t a complete stretch of the truth.
If I was Madi I’d be upset that he played all that up and now everyone knows when she’s supposed to find out. Say she doesn’t get in. You’re telling me she wouldn’t be embarrassed that tens of thousands of people know she didn’t get in? Why can’t his impatient ass just wait until she finds out and say “oh by the way this trip is extra special now.. we just found out that madi got into BYU!” And if she didn’t get in just don’t say anything. They’re called secrets branden. You can keep your arrest history secret but you can’t keep your daughters future at bay for a week?
Yes I feel so cringey for Madi. She will probably get in, but I would feel so embarrassed and nervous to know that this many people are aware of my intentions.
So Madi has had a freaking SHOWER CURTAIN instead of blinds in her room until last year? They didn't even act the littlest bit embarrassed by that.

Not impressed with Madi’s room. It doesn’t scream teenage girl. If they wanted Madi to like it they should have taken her shopping. Not made it the room Mindy wanted. It’s just so boring. Why not add curtains? Paint it a nice color. Add more than just one random piece of art on the walls. Get a fun colorful duvet cover. Add a desk so that she has somewhere to do homework. And also disappointing that up until now that room has never had a closet door, blinds or a dresser. Guaranteed Hazy’s bedroom is next and it’ll be above and beyond extravagant.
I wasn’t impressed either! First of all, I was annoyed when Mindy says “madi and I have completely different tastes of decorating a bedroom” or whatever and then proceeds to decorate it and surprise madi with it... it’s not bad enough it’s in what you call the dungeon, it can’t even be decorated in her own taste?
Then, just because she sees it on Pinterest means it looks good. Not necessarily. I think the mismatched furniture looks dumb. Either the black bed with white furniture or black bed with cream furniture would be fine one or the other. But not all 3. Mindy kept saying “it just works!” And it definitely doesn’t. It all looked like a modge podge of stuff that they inherited from 3 different families and threw in the room. If you’re buying all new stuff, at least attempt to coordinate it. There’s plenty of coordinated rooms on Pinterest.
And finally, why the hell does mindy now think she’s this brilliant interior decorator and that we should all be following her decorating tips? Copying everything from Pinterest does not make anyone a designer. If she were to decorate a blank room without the use of the internet, and only had access to Home Goods, she’d be completely dumbfounded.
Yeah I bet Madi's going to be stoked with a bedroom that looks like it's the set of a Seed catalogue shoot. I'd be thrilled I have to toss ninety cushions off the bed every night and put them all back on in the morning so my stepmom doesn't have an aneurism.

I really don't think it's right that Madi had absolutely no say in the decoration of her own room, especially when Mindy admits that she and Madi have different tastes.

Mindy's kitchen now looks like her friend Jordan Page's kitchen. I like Jordan and noticed her kitchen was all white with gold fixtures, even the same colored faucet. Her home and kitchen are bigger, and it works.

Hazy is adorable and I understand why they say she's beautiful all the time (girls need to hear that), but to do it in excess and not discipline her is bad parenting. I wish Branden and Mindy would take parenting lessons from Justin and Lindsay their kids know what is or isnt expected and they follow through all the time.
I don't see the "adorable". Not slamming a child's looks, but they are always gushing over how "super cute" Hazy is. And I just don't see it. First of all, it bugs me because they act as though her main contribution to the world is decorative. They never talk about her being smart, or kind, or compassionate. And the "princess" BS bugs me too. There are _actual_ princesses who are better behaved and whose parents are bringing them up to be good people. "Princess Hazy" is being brought up to insist on having her own way and care more about looks than substance.
And the "service" is just to show off and as has been said, to get a higher level in heaven. You aren't supposed to brag about your good deeds.. You're supposed to do them in secret, so that "even your right hand doesn't know what your left hand is doing".

Girls don’t need to hear they are beautiful all the time. They need to hear that they’re smart, thoughtful, caring, kind. So they continue to do those things. Being beautiful isn’t what is important in life and when you raise a child like Hazyl calling her beautiful and a princess all damn day she develops a complex where she thinks the sun rises and sets on her ass (thanks Love and Basketball for that quote).
I keep thinking of "The Help": "you is kind, you is smart, you is important"
That's what girls need to hear. The Gardner Quads hear how beautiful they are all day long, but are never taught about being compassionate, or valued for intelligence or anything like that. And they act like feral cats.
The Bingham boys aren't valued for anything besides being 'studs". They aren't given props for their brains or kindness. It's all about being epic, rad "savages". And providing good content for the vlog. How many "faking sick" videos is Branden going to make? The one going viral was lightning in a bottle. Just because that one was a hit, doesn't mean that every video with the same topic is going to go viral too.
