Ideas for Benjamin's room: Put him in with Rosie and show her how to care for him, as she is dearly wanting to fit in and wants some sort of attention (sarcasm). Let the Twins have the entire family room since they sleep there most of the time, already has built in T.V., near kitchen etc? Put Rosie in the new office in backyard?
Ummm Angie needs that office because she works ***sooooooo*** hard. Rosie can sleep where the boys' bikes go in the garage. They're always out riding them through the streets anyways

I can't believe of all of things she could splurge on for her big family, one of the things she chose was hair dye, manicures, and eyelash extensions. As people mentioned before, her kids have like 2 outfits each, and she won't buy them more clothing, but god forbid she cut back on things that are meant for her. It was also hypocritical of her to lecture about not having a hoarding mentality after we've seen her house and all of the stuff she collects for herself.

I know she loves homeschooling, but I can't help but think that if the kids were in school, then CR could go back to work, and Angela could watch the little ones at home. I say this because I think CR seems so bored, and like he would rather be working than stuck at home all day. She also mentioned she wanted to introduce her children to people who are different than them, and meeting kids at school is the easiest way to do that. I feel like everything about this family revolves around Angela and what she wants, and no one else has a say.

I understand he garage remark was a joke 😂- but curious- do they have a garage? I thought the homeschool room was a converted garage so I always assumed they didn’t have one. But then where do they keep the bikes and such items?

I laughed when she said she will buy any book. Print or audible. Never say no to books. Why yes- given she is selling a book right now I’m sure she’d say that!

I think you’re right about the homeschool room being the former garage. It has a door leading into it, and that step down platform that the boys like to jump off of. As for their bikes, the keep a bunch of the babies ride-one in the house, and I think I’ve seen their big kid bikes just lined up near the house. I’m not sure, but I think CR was talking about buying a portico, or he already has and it’s waiting to be assembled.

Going off subject for a quick second, does anyone know what type of church the family goes to? I’ve been trying to figure out what type of Christian Angela is since I started following her three years ago. A lot of social media families seem to go to these churches that have daycare sessions for the kids, which I find fascinating. Growing up Catholic, I’ve never seen such a thing, the families all sit together and the kids are expected to behave during mass.

I get the idea it's a megachurch because she gave the impression they have something on each night of the week big events etc most smaller churches only meet three times a week max she says things that sound very evangelical/pentecostal but idk.

I was suprised she let the kids go to the kids bit as she seems to have a problem them being alone with adults outside of family. Even piano and horse riding lessons are supervised by her or CR. She also really seemed to resent N and R's school when she mentioned they said Noah had spèech delays and behavioral issues she seemed a bit offended. I think the school just wanted to help him. Actually really happy the kids have a chance go socialise especially Rosie.

I don’t know what denomination church they attend but near me most Southern Baptist churches have kids programming during adult service.

I think she mentioned they had a coffee shop at church so it’s probably a bigger one.

I was thinking about her declutter series and would love for them to do one on decluttering the storage unit they have! We’ve seen them dropping stuff off there but I do wonder what kind of things live there vs what gets donated/sold/thrown away.

I really feel for her oldest girls - they're at an age where their education is so important and I don't think Angie can offer them teaching on par with even a bad public school. Plus they always seem to be looking after their younger siblings. If angie raises them to be moms their whole lives like her and Ashleigh she better be prepared to babysit her 20 grandbabies.

I think for a while they didn't go to church at all and had only family devotionals. IIRC she mentioned couple years back that she didn't feel like their big multicultural family with lot of small kids was welcomed or something like that. (I think she made it sound like the churches in the area were racist).

I don't think she has ever stated which church they do go or if they still don't go, but it has been made crystal clear by her that they do not profess same sect of Christianity than her sister.

I think they have never disclosed their religion more than super vaguely calling themselves Christians.

Yes. I think that they have their small little community of couple of other families that are Torah Observant Christians. I think their church is really small. At least that is the impression I have. I don't think that they belong to big group of other TOCs.

So for homeschool some of the kids watched a documentary, played, practiced spelling their names, and painted a solar system

And for meals they had cream of wheat, pretzels, chicken nuggets, tater tots, and brownies..

Its not a ‘treat’ if they eat this way every day. The kids eat poorly because that’s what they are used to and it will only change if they decide to put in more effort. I swear everytime she makes the excuse of “well when you have a billion kids it’s just a case of giving them what they want so they eat”. I never see those kids eat fruits or vegetables, it’s all processed crap.

Such lazy parenting.

An honest question for Angie, when and how will she incorporate the twins into homeschooling? My son is their age, with a late summer birthday, so we are working with him on his speech and he is going back to speech therapy. The twins, especially Ivy, seem like late talkers. I doubt they will go to preschool outside the home, so is there anything Angie and CR are doing with just them to meet their milestones. We are reading lots of books and doing flash cards with our son, also working on the sounds he has trouble with, S, P, Sh and hard C/K.

I got some nasty vibes from her after visiting the planetarium on Valentine’s Day, at the same time as a school having a field trip. Sorry you didn’t get the whole place to yourself like your family usually does, and had to share with a bunch of “regular” school kids. All kids are germy as hell, your angels are no different. Their home is a circle jerk of cold viruses and everything else.

I think the twins will pick up as ANgie must see that by 7 they need help. What concerns me is Rosie. She seems like the token child. She needs one on one with an educator specialized with special needs!

Rosie is a concern for me too, she's so alone. Also, surely her speech should be better by now. I know she obviously didn't speak English when they first adopted her but by now she should be more understandable than she is. It pains me when Angie talks to her and she has no clue what she's saying.
I don't have any personal experience with DS children or adults unfortunately but have been able to understand the ones I have met.
They are letting her down in my opinion.
There were two other families that adopted from China around the same time as Rosie, both with DS and around the same age. The three were friends, in America not China, as Angie was friends with their mums. We saw them a few times at the start, I believe the girl was Eloise, not sure about the boy. I'd love to see their speech and language development in comparison, though actually that might make me madder for Rosie.
