They actually do say to bake cookies or something to make the house smell good. I think though when you quit trying to make everything perfect that is when your house sells. We forgot to pick up dog dishes for a showing and that ended up being the person to buy the house. That is pretty rude to schedule a showing and waste the sellers time when pictures are online. At least go in and look at it.ashmax21 wrote:Jesus sent them gift cards.
And brownies will sell the house.
Wowza.
It didn’t seem to me that they were getting caught up and figuring out their budget yet AT ALL. It was a lot of the same justifying that got them into this entire mess. Not to mention, they are seriously twisting what Dave Ramsey says. For instance the part about the car. No one in the financial position they are in, should have a car payment. They were twisting what he says and they know it. What happens when they are still making those minimum credit card payments months from now?!chloe6124 wrote:They actually do say to bake cookies or something to make the house smell good. If she is telling the truth it seems like they might actually be starting to get caught up and figuring out how to really work a budget. Dave always says it could take awhile to figure it out.
The one car thing doesn’t make sense because you can just go out and take a walk while your house is being showed. Although with all the pets that might be a little more complicated. I get her reasoning on why they are keeping it for now. What she said about Dave and what he says about car payments is true. He does say that.

Leaving your home for a showing especially with pets and kids takes a lot of energy. At least you can do is go inside and not waste someone’s time.HelloSweetie wrote:It didn’t seem to me that they were getting caught up and figuring out their budget yet AT ALL. Also, it isn’t rude to not go into a home you’ve decided not to buy. The pictures may have misrepresented what it actually looks like and there was a mess out front? K&C aren’t tidy people. I’m not wasting time walking through a house I have already decided isn’t right. That’s how cautious people save themselves from making bad decisions. Why walk through a house your gut is saying isn’t right and risk being influenced?

I don’t just listen to Dave Ramsey, we follow a lot of the budget guidelines. That means we have no debt besides our recently purchased lake property. Dave says it’s ok to have a car if you make a decent wage compared to your relative debt. They do NOT. There is no way for them to snowball repayment while having that expensive car payment. I don’t blame them for not selling Katie’s car, but Dave would absolutely call them out for not making any of the difficult sacrifices in order to get on the road to success ASAP. They are at best dipping their toe into the water of debt repayment and saving.chloe6124 wrote:

I listen to Dave Ramsey a lot. He absolutely tells people if they can still work the snowball and the car debt isn’t more then 50% of your income you can keep your car. But he also says after you work your snowball you need to get it paid off. That car will be paid off by the time they get all these other things paid for. Yes they could sell it and have that extra 900 and pay off things faster but she was telling the truth about what Dave says.
The fact she was talking about creating a cushion in case they don’t get paid is a good thing. I just don’t know how much to believe.
Now saying that most of that extra 600 hundred should go towards the snowball. Take 50 and start the birthday and Christmas funds but put most of it on the snowball. Sometimes seeing the inside might change your mind about something on the exterior.
I thought using the xtra 20 they had left from valentines was a good thing. When you don’t use all of a envelope you can decide to use it for other things. The restraint thing was good too. She could of probably not put any money in there since they didn’t use the money from the previous period but I used to do the same thing.

Well considering we don’t know what there income is it’s hard to judge keeping it. I do agree not having that payment will help them get out faster. $500 dollars extra isn’t going to get that snowball paid off very fast.HelloSweetie wrote:I don’t just listen to Dave Ramsey, we follow a lot of the budget guidelines. The numbers just don’t add up. Selling the house is their Hail Mary, and there’s no way it’s going to bail them out. That’s great some people have faith in them and think they are taking things seriously. I just definitely did not get that impression at all. Not to mention, I’m fairly certain Cullen was drunk (or high) during this video... Katie too.

Irritated me too! They are jerks. They aren’t changing a damn thing. Talking about saving money for Xmas? Wtf?amyfalafalagain wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 8:10 pm They are working from home they do not need two cars ffs.
They should sell the car regardless of what Dave Ramsey says. They are neck deep in debt. Those gift cards are an excellent way to use this “free money” as their grocery budget at Walmart, and use the cash they were going to use for groceries to pay their debt. It would certainly put them *slightly* ahead. We do this with our rewards cards. If any grocery stores like Coles and Woolies have us getting $300 rewards dollars at the end of the year or every quarter then we use THAT for groceries and our regular grocery budget money goes towards paying off an extra payment on our mortgage. Doesn’t happen all the time but it’s $300 we didn’t have and we put it towards the mortgage. We’ve been debt free for a while. All this BS excuses don’t add up to their financial“crisis”. They’re too relaxed about it and not making enough sacrifices to help pay it off quicker. Just my opinion. This recent video irritated me more than the others.
Yeah their videos aren't gone but they aren't uploading. Thanks I won't watch CK and delete it from my feedColetrain_04 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 4:21 pm Cullen and Katie's new video is a WASTE OF TIME. I was planning activities for the month of March for my son so it was in the background. But omg. They are sooo immature. I can not listen to them. Like all their other videos, they're all over the place, rambling and making no sense. Don't waste your time unless you want to pick apart what they say. lol Seriously, it's a waste of time!
I'm not seeing any new videos from JK today. I know someone said their videos were gone, but they've been showing.
Yes exactly. The car needs to go. If you are struggling to pay for the roof over your head. And I refused to go through a home too after getting a weird feeling from the neighbors. No one owes them anything.HelloSweetie wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 5:24 pmIt didn’t seem to me that they were getting caught up and figuring out their budget yet AT ALL.
