3. She goes to pick up the PO Box contents for the first time in months, but it is filled with bills and legal notices. No fan mail? Maybe the kids stopped sending it after Ruby made fun of their little paper creations and said that they "never fail to disappoint".
Ruby genuinely said that about gifts her fans had sent?! How ungrateful!

I do worry about Shari - I think she's trying to find her own identity and is at risk of making herself ill. It must be difficult to be a teenager in that house if you aren't allowed any personal expression and are expected to be the parent to your siblings.
i worry about shari too. i think you're probably right with the identity thing - especially since they have such a huge audience. nobody needs that when they're just growing into themselves.

i know it's kinda counter intuitive, but up until the new puppy bathing videos she used to really irritate me, but now i just feel really, really sorry for her. there's a point i think? in ruby's video where you can see her trying to bathe the puppy and get it right and she just seems super overwhelmed and way too young to be taking on that level of responsibility - it's like she doesn't trust anyone else to be able to do a better job even though her mom is clearly in the house. shari takes on the role of the default responsible adult and that's really fucked up.

i can just picture a younger version of her trying to do something similar for her siblings and how overwhelming that must have been. partly because i often had to take on the role of "responsible adult" growing up and it really fucks with your sense of being able to depend on other people, especially when you really need to. like, ruby is getting all pissed off with her for "hogging the dog" and i just don't get how she can't see that shari clearly doesn't trust her to do a very good job of it, so is doing it herself. i mean is shari hogging the kids when she drives them to school? or eve when she had to get her up and ready every morning?

please don't get me wrong, shari would drive me nuts irl and i don't think it's fair that her siblings have to deal with her being so controlling, but i do just want to shake ruby every time she fails to notice that she's caused a lot of shari's issues by constantly deferring her responsibilities to her.

Mom's are powerful! Sure they are. If it hadn't been for this forum, Ruby would likely have place Abby, Julie, and Eve in a room together. Queen brat Shari would get her own room and RubyDo would have a film studio and sewing room.
Thanks to the power of an internet forum Julie gets her own room. She will probably have to still sister mom Eve, but at least they aren't sharing a room.

Am I the only one who noticed when Ruby as talking to eve about lying about stealing Chad’s birthday money that Eve said it was his only present. Why siblings Ruby still punishing that boy? Smaller room for no reason, no birthday video for him and all he gets as a gift is cash, no real though put into it like the others. At this point they are treating Julie better than Chad.

I noticed that too! Maybe now Chad get some more clothes since that's all he asked for at Christmas. When is Chad's birthday? I know they are behind in their vlogs, so maybe they will have a vlog for him still.

Chad is 9th grade in Jr. High, which is 7th grade through 9th grade. Middle school is 6th through 8th grade, this is the same everywhere in the states.
Ruby is only taking this BS class and getting this certification so she can feel like if she is credentialed she can write this book and tell people how to parent. She is a joke. This is yet another way for her to inflate her head and feel like she is more than what she actually is. Ruby needs to live in her truth and stop adulating.

This is not the case everywhere in the US. In Chicagoland, 5th & 6th is middle, 7th & 8th is junior and 9-12th is high school. And also can vary from school to school in the same area.

I lived in the St. Louis area around my school years. Through 6th grade was elementary, 7th & 8th was junior and 9-12th is high school.

If you don't mind, where do you live in the States? I just found your post interesting because I've never heard of 9th grade being "junior high" here in the States. I learn something new everyday!
I live in the Pacific Northwest and in my school district, k-5th grade is elementary, 6-8th is middle, 9th-12th grade is high school. However neighboring districts have k-6th elementary, 7-9th junior high and 10th-12th high school. For sports our 9th graders are on their own team and play against neighboring school districts 9th grade teams.

I get the feeling that Ruby would have kicked him out but she knows that her audience would judge her for doing so. Did the boy murder someone? The way they act it feels like it would need to be that serious!

While watching The Connors last night (it has it's good moments, lol), Jackie reminds us that she is a trained life coach, pretty comical since she isis an emotional/hyper mess. Anyway, it gave me a vision of what is to come on Ruby's vlogs. She will eventually be lecturing about panic attacks and fear. I wonder which kid will be the guinea pig for this topic. Ruby and Kevin were so proud of their method for teaching Eve not to steal, that was short-lived.

My take is .....and again it is all speculation and being around kids Chad’s age for years myself, I think with so many growing females in the house and being suppressed sexually due to his religion, thinking it is evil to be natural, he was probably inappropriate with the girls, I don’t believe in a sinister or deviant way! But probably he had to have some outlet even verbal and prude Ruby probably freaked!
I again think there are deeper issues there from having lost that boy and Chad did not live up to how perfect she had thought that baby might have been. Also that Kevin was gone a lot and again Chad was unable (for her) to rise up and meet the needs of man of the house.
Basically all the children have stated of a very strict dictatorship house before she could no longer be mean as it would play out on you tube!
Disclaimer: It is extremely painful to lose a child at any stage , me four the point I am making is it is like when a parent loses one live child and checks out from the others sometimes! She lost that boy which she grieved for years and could not appreciate and show compassion to the ones that did come! That is my point only but again apologies if anyone mistakes my words I have lost 4.

I’m confused. The vlog today was what the surgeon said...what did I miss? What did he say?

That Shari is a hypochondriac and her calf problems are all in her head.
....Joking.... It was clickbait the surgeon didn't say anything.

Yet again, Ruby seems to not understand that the reason why her kids are snack food for dinner is because SHE is supposed to be making dinner for them. Six year olds can't make a shepherd's pie or lasagne. They are going to be nutrient deficient if she doesn't stop being an absentee mother.

I think the title was supposed to reflect the question left in our minds after watching the video... "the surgeon said what?" hahaha... such dumb drama, and can I just add that literally the only reason ruby went with Shari was to try to get footage of a big scary mri machine

She admitted Shari has done all the doctor stuff on her own. Which, good for Shari for pushing for answers even if it took 8 doctors to figure out what's wrong. I can't imagine doing that at her age since I've dealt with rare illness as an adult and it takes a lot of perseverance sometimes to get answers and help. I just hate that Ruby comes to the appointments but doesn't seem to be engaged or asking questions or even helping Shari learn how to navigate the medical system. She's only there for the footage. You could sense Shari's insecurities at different times and i do feel bad for her.

Shari said something in the car about having Ruby there to use her insurance card, pay the co-pay and give permission. Shari is still a minor.

So, basically, if it weren't for Shari researching her own pain/issue, they would never get to the bottom of it. It does sound like Shari is having valid problems that need attention. What kind of mother sits back and does nothing while their child is living with pain and doing all the work to get some answers...... Answer is Ruby! Now we see how it was possible for Russell to have had a broken leg and nothing was done about it. How can a mom be so ignorant, useless, and uncaring, but claim to be a "powerful mom?"

For someone who has said she doesn’t have time to do things

How the hell does she have time to watch The Office three times already and it’s only Feb 20th??

I thought her school and studying obsession was bad and not healthy, but this new obsession is way worse. I hope someone is keeping an eye on her. Ruby won’t be that person. We all know what she feeds her family. I also thought it was interesting that Eve told Ruby she had her protein drink. I guess Ruby told her to.

Ruby is such a fake..her real mean woman came out bitching at the guys who delivered her 3 SETS of washer and dryers..”Dont scratch my walls!” Shit, I might scratch them just because she was a rude hag. On a positive note..I love Eve’s haircut. Seems like since Ruby can’t buy herself clothes for a year she might actually buy clothes for the kids. Eve got a nice haul. Now if only Chad can get in on that. :D

I was glad to see Eve actually wanted this haircut and she wasn’t forced into it like Julie was to “hide her flat head” years back. I agree, she was so obnoxious with those movers. She is a literally “Karen”, micromanaging and critiquing and bothering them while they try to do their job.

Also why would a house come with 3 laundry rooms?! 2 I can see but 3 is just ridiculous. They really did build these Mormon mega mansions with the plan of a dozen kids living in them I guess.

But even with one laundry machine, that is NO excuse for Eve wearing the same school uniform to school AND bed for 2 days in a row. That’s just lazy parenting and that’s on YOU Ruby. Don’t blame the fact that you only have one washing machine.

I’m scared to see her new tween line. I’m predicting a bunch of really odd pieces a la Bollie just in kid size.

I came here specifically to post about Eve wearing her uniform for 2 days straight and also to bed. It is obviously not Eve's fault...however, when I was 6/7 years old I was aware that there was different attire worn for bed and did it on my own. Eve, even at such a young age, seems to have some lazy qualities and I can't imagine where it comes from (other than her mother) because it seems like the other kids really get after it in terms of school, the arts, sports, etc. I'm a relatively new viewer so I'm sorry if there's info I don't know about that would make my assumptions inaccurate
