Where I live, a 3yr old girl drowned last year she fell into a river that was abnormally high and fast moving because it was spring and a lot of snow had melted. Her body wasn't found for a couple hours and by then nothing could have been done to save her. Our small community donated over 20,000 to a GFM, there was a location set up to drop off gift cards and toys etc, for the families other kids. A meal train brought them food for over a month, a local company covered the funeral expenses including the headstone.
It's just what people do when someone loses a child, Brittani's situation was on a larger scale because she had an audience and it got picked up by media. I think it pulled on peoples heartstrings a little extra because it happened on Christmas
I've been watching Brittani for years, I think her "grieving" right now is odd & raising some eyebrows but I think it has more to do with a mental illness than anything else. Her spending habits have not changed. I think they would have been buying a 400k house even if Crew were still alive. When they bought their current house they were a one income family & now they have 2 incomes.
Now, I think her happily saying she's "kid free" and going on vacation without her kids, letting them ride skooters in the street without helmets is all strange for someone who just lost a child. But the money stuff.. no, it's typical for Brittani.

And a side note, I think her saying Cash & Cooper will still share a room in a 5 bedroom house is indicative of them having more children.

I think people are raising eyebrows because typically families will wait to pay off any medical debt before moving and having a higher mortgage. I have no doubt she would have moved but if you aren’t completely sure of bills yet I would think you would first get that settled and then take on a debt like a higher mortgage. Their mindset could be different or maybe even brittani’s mom is pitching in to help with buying a home. Who knows.

How do you know they're not paying cash for their house?

You still need to show where you got the cash. At least it was required for me and my husband. I had a very large amount of cash and I had no proof where it was from (it wasn’t anything nefarious). It was a huge issue.

You paid straight cash for a home?

A bank/loan wouldn’t be involved if you are paying straight cash for any home so I’m not sure who you would have to show backup support to. You see what I’m saying? You would literally get a certified check and show up to settlement with that check.

The poster never said she was buying the house with only cash, so it could have been that she had a large down payment. Banks will ask where that money comes from if it's not clear that it's just from your salary.

She is still working through all of the emotions that come with loss. Give. Her. Time. Understand everyone grieves differently. & I’ll pray that none of you ever have to be in her situation.

She's not grieving. She's running around to "keep busy" and not dealing with any emotions. She claims to be seeing a grief counselor but there's no way she is doing any homework this counselor is giving her. I call her a liar...this is all a big show for her. From an outsider looking in - she was never appealing to begin with. She's not attractive, her videos offer nothing unless it includes target and homegoods. She's the vanilla of the youtube mom world.

That's the feeling I get. She is racing from one instant gratification to another because she knows the moment she stops reality will hit her like a ton of bricks. I don't believe that she is happy or never loved her baby, that's nonsense. She will eventually crash....

Agreed, I think she’s avoiding dealing with her grief and emotions by staying busy. And you’re right, at some point, she’s going to have to deal with it, and it’s going to be ugly from trying to ignore it for so long. You can’t just skip over that process.

On the flip side, it’s weird that people are angry at her for avoiding her grief rather than feeling pity for her that she’s not coping with it in a healthy way. I feel bad for her.

But if you're paying cash for your house, you would just need to go to a lawyer and do the closing. No need for an underwriter.

The GFM was set up by the ex. The ex got the money and gifted it to Brittani. They aren't going to care where the ex got it.

And no doubt he got a cut from it too.

I so agree with this. She is going to crash hard and it will be awful when she does

I’m the person that said she could use the GFM with the purchase of her home but I never said she was. I only say that because for the past 17 years I’ve been in that line of work and it’s been done before.......again not saying she is just debunking those that say it absolutely can’t be done because it absolutely can.

Just because Karen can do a backflip doesn’t mean all women can do one the same way just because some of you bought a house and had certain stipulations and underwriting issues doesn’t mean she will or has or does. Not every home loan is the same that I can promise you. Stop basing your own home purchasing experience on what she will or will not have to go through.

I was taking my son to basketball this morning and as I got out of my car and looked towards the building out came brittanis mom, ex husband, carter and what I would assume were brittanis grandparents. Her mom was holding onto the old mans arm and then hugged him so I’m thinking okay the ex husband/mom things must just be a conspiracy, but then the old man left with the old woman and I realized oh, that was probably her dad and she was just saying goodbye lol. My mom is a licensed real estate agent and she knows for a fact that you can use go fund me money to put down towards a house. I don’t know why people are still arguing about this. It’s “clean” money that can be traced back to all the donors. It’s not drug money!
It’s not supposed to be done (as per the gofundme rules) and yes we could report her to the website for suspected fraud.
But yes 100% gofundme income is able to go towards a home.

This would make sense that Carter is with them today And had a basketball game and that’s why they aren’t having Cash’s birthday party until tomorrow when Carter goes back to Britt?? Aaryn and Tara are still at aaryns house and Brittani hasn’t posted anything on social media so I’m assuming it’s not today.

I thought about it, but there was no way I could take a pic without it being noticeable because they walked straight past me.
When I first glanced up I thought her mom looked familiar then my brain connected who she was and I instantly started looking at who else she was with and waited to see if Brittani was around or not, but she wasn’t.
Now I’m wondering if she has her grandkids call her honey because maybe that’s what he calls her so it wouldn’t make it super confusing and wouldn’t seem so gross seeing your dad in a relationship with ‘grandma’ ?

I think that’s exactly why they call her that. He’s young yet, but as he grows older he will know. And how sad will he feel? Men cheat, women cheat but your own damn mom sleeping with your ex is beyond comprehension. It speaks volumes on what type of person her mother is and her ex.
