Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
They think the golf course is their private playground. I'll bet their neighbors hate them. He got on their little car track, and tried to ride it, and it got stuck in the mud. So he took it to the golf course cart trail, and had Gaines push him. He went a few yards and then crashed.
F*cking manchild. Any bets on whether or not he was sober? Great example for the kids.
And Katie just laughs. And says Brooks said that Cullen shouldn't do it because he was going to die, and they "wouldn't have a daddy anymore, just a mommy". Where would a 3 year old get that idea?
I still think that part of the falling out with Kelley was neighbors bitching about C&K and her getting embarrassed. I'm sure part of it was about money and their refusal to get jobs, but I'll bet some of it was also their behavior and the neighbors rolling their eyes.

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
It was absolute bullshit that they gave Gaines 3 dollars and Brooks 50 cents for doing the exact same thing. They don’t even try to hide their favoritism anymore. It makes me sick. Cullen and Katie were bored and needing their shopping addiction fix, so they loaded up the kids piggy banks and somewhat forced them to buy stuff they didn’t really want. Gaines was saving for the FOX UMBRELLA. She made that very clear, so order it online and be done with it. Also, telling Gaines “if you don’t have the money for it you can ask for it for Easter” like wtf. My kids get a chocolate bunny for Easter, its not Christmas!!

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
That video wasn't about saving up for something you really want. It was about buying junk that you hadn't ever thought about because you had a few dollars in your pocket. This is why they are broke. Gaines wanted a fox umbrella. That is what she saved for. She still wants a fox umbrella but because her parents "talked" her into buying some other junk she now has to "work" to make more money to get the same fox umbrella she already saved for. In adult actions this would be like saving money to pay car taxes but deciding that you really want Mexican food so you use the car tax money and eat Mexican (in Katie's world that is $100) and next week when the taxes are due you don't have enough money so you don't pay them. These two are really out of control.
And the whole "how do we budget if we use Walmart pickup" shows how dumb they are. First, they have free Walmart giftcards walk into the store and use them you aren't that busy. Second, if you are doing the envelope system make a deposit. Do you really need your veiwers (I'm not calling them your fans) to tell you that?

Here's the thing. If they know they are going to rely on Walmart pickup, then don't even take out the CASH! Just write the monthly grocery total on the envelope and only order that much online. Are they really this dumb?? Isn't this BASIC knowledge and math???!MilkingTheClicks wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 8:39 pm That video wasn't about saving up for something you really want. I do think they should stick to Aldi or just pickup. I think it's obvious Katie's shopping issues are seriously real.

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
There is NOTHING about the latest video that is a teachable moment with your children. Why on earth would you take them to the mall and just aimlessly wander around and show them all of that stuff?? The point of saving the money was to earn enough to buy the fox umbrella and a light saber. WHY can't the adults in the situation PLAN ahead and take them to a store where each item is available for each child to purchase!!??!!!
I don't understand anything about the way they handled this!!!! I think it's actually cruel to take a 3 and 5 year old to the mall and show them all of those things and confuse their little minds with, "well, if you buy this then you will have this much left and maybe you can buy that but then you can't get the fox umbrella..." OMG.... just go to a store with a fox umbrella and purchase it!!!! And if there is no store where one can be found, have Gaines give you the cash as you place the order on Amazon using one of the gift cards you have. She is still spending her money that way and she can understand that she saved for it and gave her money to purchase it. Same with the lightsaber for Brooks. These two are so dumb that it just doesn't seem real sometimes!!!

He had a pacifier for quite some time and would always talk with it in and we all kind of speculated that it caused some speech issues. Personally I think he could benefit from speech therapy. They are like most youtube parents though and don't seem to care about their children's educational needs. Katie diagnosed him herself with sensory processing issues but I don't think they ever got him evaluated for anything.honeybear wrote:I'm really sorry but I have never watched these two other than the debt videos. I have always thought he walks and runs strangely for a 3 almost 4 year old. But the speech issue seems more like a breathing/delivery issue or it could just be his southern accent.

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
I can't even bring myself to watch the latest vlog but from everything I have read here it is obvious they never plan on making any lasting changes. This was their way to fulfill their shopping addiction and sadly they are projecting it onto their kids. I guess I have a hard time sympathizing with parents whose kids beg for everything in a store. I know it is hard to say no the first couple times but it is better for your kids in the long run to be consistent and tell them no. Brooks and especially Gaines are going to grow up to be so unbelievably entitled and I feel bad for them. Kids want love, stability, routine, to feel safe and have food. They don't need constant gifts from two immature parents who can't even properly manage their own lives.

No he’s not slow he’s actually quite intelligent. He just stutters which could just be from excitement or he could be a stutterer. He’s not quite four yet so it’s hard to be certain either way. My younger brother stutters and he is also very intelligent and is very successful.honeybear wrote:I'm really sorry but I have never watched these two other than the debt videos. That’s because if you watch him closely he walks and runs on his toes quite often. My now nine year old son did that. My husband used to say he looked like an ostrich when he would walk and run when he was Brooks’ age. He stopped doing it when he was between the ages of five and six.Boymomma123 wrote:He had a pacifier for quite some time and would always talk with it in and we all kind of speculated that it caused some speech issues. Apparently my brother-in-law did the same. My husband says they nicknamed him Bobby (his name is James) when he was little because he was always bobbing up and down on his toes. Funny because if you watch him even now he walks like that sometimes.PirateWench8 wrote:That’s because if you watch him closely he walks and runs on his toes quite often. Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
Just saw Katie posted an image of their strange coloring page, and it does look like they’re counting the roughly $13K they raised to get current on the mortgage and other bills in that $17,833. Disregard my earlier guess, I assumed that the majority of the elusive $28K they referenced earlier as their income for the holidays went towards paying down their debt. Am I remembering things incorrectly? I could have sworn they mentioned this crazy high number as their income from brand deals for the month of December. Maybe they are actually paying their taxes on time and that number shrunk quickly.
That makes this even more unsustainable- the only reason they were able to make a dent in their debt is because they sold off large ticket items and found a forgotten savings account. So they really only contributed $4,833 of their income to the debt snowball, and I’m curious how much of that was just minimum payments. Katie said that the debt they paid down this month was for the most part not the credit card debt, so I’m assuming it’s some mix of medical bills, repairs, late mortgage or car payments, personal loans, etc. Which means that all of their credit card debt is still there accumulating interest. I know that they’re paying the smallest debts first, but man $17,800 is a lot when you realize it’s mostly just them not being current on their bills.
How in the world are they going to address the other $82,212 with their current spending and the house that won’t sell?
Did anyone else notice that Cullen said something along the lines of “We can’t afford $500” for a kid’s birthday party anymore, and Katie was quick to correct him and say something like, “well, we CAN, but it’s not necessary.” In Katie’s mind, she’s still rich. No, you can’t afford a $500 birthday party when you are skipping mortgage payments and however many dollars in debt.
IF they do have a couple thousand in savings, that’s still not 3 months living expenses, and likely not enough to float them even a month if their mortgage is $3,400. To me it sounds like their living expenses are more like $10K a month at least, which would mean they need something like $30K-60K at a minimum in savings to qualify as a cushy emergency fund. And that's for people who could potentially lose their job but find another position relatively quickly if they live in a good job market. I'm not sure what the recommendation would be for freelancers.
Their credit must have taken a huge hit for the missed mortgage payments.

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
Hashtagblessed, I am glad you caught that because I could not figure out how they could have possibly had 13k to get current and the 17k to go toward their debt.
I hate them even more now for being misleading and making people believe they paid 17k off by cutting back for 1 month. I will be curious to see how they plan on paying down the credit card and what they will do for the mortgage if the house continues to not sell. I think the are caught up with the mortgage through February and I am curious to see if they mention it in March. How crazy though that they sold all of that stuff and it couldn't even go toward the credit card debt.
Katie definitely still thinks that are rich and able to afford the "best" in life. Her parents did her a real disservice by spoiling her and creating the entitled princess she is now.
Who spends $500 on a kids birthday party?!??
I go overboard with decorating for my kids parties because I enjoy it and I don't think I have ever spent more than $100 food included. Amazon has all kinds of inexpensive birthday decorations.
Katie just has to keep up with the Jones's in every aspect of life except the parts that actually matter. She is okay with favoring her daughter over her son and feeding them hotdogs and mac and cheese every night. But she demands a big fancy house, the big fancy car and over the top birthday's so everyone knows they are well off.
This openness about their debt must be killing her and I think they are going to be less and less open and honest from now on. She still has to keep up appearances.
Losing the house might be the only thing that could bring her down off of her high horse.

Losing their house won’t knock her off her high horse. Her parents would never allow her children to be homeless. Bankruptcy isn’t as devastating as it seems. Credit scores can rebound fairly quickly and you can qualify for home loans after two years. She’ll continue to live in her bubble and claim it was all God’s plan.

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
I think Katie was so mean about Brooks having buyer's remorse with the surprise Blippi he bought with his money. "I didn't want to rub it in his face but maybe that will be a lesson about changing your mind on what you wanted..."
OMG.... this makes me crazy. He is THREE YEARS OLD!!! They took him to the mall and showed him a million things and pressured him into picking something when ALL ALONG he had said he was saving for a lightsaber. This is not rocket science, people. Have the child pick the item he/she is saving for, do chores to earn money, when enough money is earned go to store and buy item.
And for real, if you just have to do Walmart pickup and you can only use your debit card, then you will have to go to the bank and deposit the cash from the envelope to pay your account back. You either have to actually GO IN THE STORE and shop or you will have to GO TO THE BANK and make a deposit. The real issue is that they are LAZY and so they don't want to have to do either of those things.
I know I say this all the time but they really are completely ridiculous!

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
And don't they go to the bank/atm to get the cash for the envelopes anyway? Just don't get cash for the amount you're budgeting for groceries. Write it on the envelope if you have to have an envelope! I get the idea of working on a cash basis, but using Walmart pickup actually saves me money because we plan meals, order what we need, and there's no impulse buying. No seeing Oreos or candy and "having" to buy it...

If my kids were saving for something at such a young age I would never take them to a mall and overwhelm them. What happened to Brooks's sensory issues Katie? Oh wait he only has issues when it is convenient and fits her narrative.
Buy the stuff on Amazon and take the money from the kids when the package arrives. C&K are so immature and stupid I just cannot even with them.

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
Started their newest video.... Surprise, surprise more contracting and excuses from Katie. She says their house was under contract in October, but that they were still promoting the house because they were pretty sure the contract was going to fall through because the buyers wouldn’t be able to sell their house. Meanwhile, previously her excuse for not paying the mortgage was because the house was under contract and they were pretty sure it was going to sell. Soooo which is it Katie?
She has an excuse and twisted version of everything! If I were cullen there is NO way I’d let her have control of the finances. She’s a liar!
