I really hope he calls them out on their crap and is just trying to give the other calls some attention first.... Im not really a huge Dave fan but if he praises these two idiots then hes even worse then I thought.

Katie is hurt because $860, the amount they have left over this month, is going toward IRS debt (their snowball), a highly important bill of more than $3,600 that exists since they moved while the bill landed on the doormat of the old house. So Katie's excuse is "we" didn't know. She is perfectly capable of claiming "I" am the nerd though.

Seeing the $860 go straight toward debt hurts her, so she fabricates an excuse right before our eyes and claims she prefers to set $10 aside for Christmas, Gaines' Birthday and Brooks' Birthday, pulling up fake innocent puppy eyes because she knows she means more than $10 and she knows she isn't allowed to do it in the first place and so in anticipation of critique from viewers. Then Cullen proposes to round off the $860 to $800 for IRS and spread the $60 evenly over the then newly created Christmas Envelope, Gaines' Birthday Envelope and Brooks' Birthday Envelope. (Remember she already has a Fun Envelope, a Restaurant Envelope, a Miscellaneous Envelope, an Extras Envelope, and last month she had a Fun, Entertainment, Restaurant, Valentines, Extras, Miscellaneous plus shared her desire to start a Christmas Envelope, in Feb! In March she acts upon it, like she said she would, and also wants to start 'saving' for Gaines' Birthday in September.)

As if this weren't enough -she already talked her way into getting not $10 but $20 for Christmas plus managed the addition of both Birthdays-, she then says to Cullen she "feels" like "we" need just a General Birthday Envelope for other people, should we put aside $20 for that? Cullen, determined and clearly annoyed: No. Because then it cuts into the $800, and I like to keep it even. (YES!!)

Or, Katie lost oversight and forgot the money had to go to IRS in the first place, $800 MINIMUM. He already met you halfway. In the heat of the moment she totally missed the point of subtracting $60.

She is literally addicted to spending money. Being afraid she will come short if she sees the $860 go to IRS, fabricating more Envelopes is just taking care of her addiction. Also she isn't grateful, inherent to addiction. She gets a hand, then grabs an arm and then asks for the other arm.

I surely hope Dave Ramsey is watching their videos right now. And Katie 100% manipulated that SHE and not Cullen will take the call. She will play it safe and only ask a superficial question about the house. I hope DR won't fall for it and will ask through and ask for more circumstances and facts.

I can’t speak to their circle of friends, but they used to be so close to Katie’s parents and her sister’s family. Now they can’t even drop by her sister’s house during a showing. They don’t use her parent’s box seats or beach home. I think that rift would be more heartbreaking to me as a parent than the prospect of not giving my kids a big bag of gifts for Valentine’s Day. The kids are missing out on time with family who love them, most likely because Katie's family doesn't want to feed into her delusions anymore and are therefore cut out. That’s what they’re going to look back on and remember.

The only money you've had for debt, besides the minimum payment, is money from selling items. Theres no cashflow there. - Side note, shouldn't the IRS debt have been included in the get current!??!

They owe $547,000 on the house according to Katie.

The mod on the live chat keeps asking people to stop talking about Katie and Cullen... Im betting some sort of sponsorship deal is in the works... disgusting. The mod says Dave doesn't know them, just answered their question but he definitely is aware, as others are commenting he has commented on their Instagram before.

Also, whoever is the mod of the live show should be grateful for the added traffic and stop trying to shut it down. According to the regulars the views and comments are up majorly because K&C called in.

I didn’t expect Katie to get a reality check from her call, because I don’t think she would have called in otherwise. Katie doesn’t want to listen to anyone.

Numbers are numbers. The fact is that even with all the extra gift cards and “found” money this month, C&K still only had $800 to put towards their debt. Even if the $80k was all one loan with a low interest rate, it would take them about 12 years to pay it all off on their current budget. This doesn’t even account for yearly taxes and a house payment! I’m going to enjoy the continued attempts to justify things as they fall deeper and deeper in debt. Katie is going to eat crow at some point and I’m all for it.

She can continue to plan fancy parties and drive luxury vehicles, but the truth of the matter is they probably have less actual money than the guy delivering their pizza.

$100k is less than my husband and I make. It sounds like a lot, but really doesn’t go as far as you think. I have no idea how they are paying for half the things they are!

And she said they make 100k a year LOL Social Blade says the highest they make is 61k. She's lying, you could tell to by the way she sounded too. They are broke broke broke.

Brand deal coming. Dave asked her if they are using one of his ELP (Endorsed Local Providers) she said no. Watch they are going to start working with one and sell their house. They will praise the ELP which will have all their minions get one as well.

I guess we learned that they make 100k/year, the house is listed at 599k, they owe 547k on it. He didn't ask any additional questions about their lifestyle or expenses.

Does that 547k they owe on the house include the 50k HELOC they had to take out to get the loan? They're going to be lucky to get out from under that house.

I can't even imagine buying a 640k house only making 100k a year, with that much square footage. I'm surprised they even qualified for a loan.

They're in deep trouble. I wish they would have at least called in for general advice, rather than asking a very specific question.

PS- after reading the posts about their insane $80 booze budget I am thoroughly convinced that Cullen and Katie are alcoholics who need serious help. That amount of alcohol would last two years in my house. We are busy raising a young child just like they are supposed to be doing. We don't have time for hangovers and being a drunken mess during bath time. Katie lives on her own delusional planet and Cullen is paralyzed with anxiety. Marrying Katie was the worst decision Cullen ever made. He will never live up to her expectations. He should have married a strong, smart sensible woman from his side of the tracks. Katie should have picked a rich beau from one of Dolly's antique cotillions!

I also felt she sounded very unsure of what she was saying when he asked her questions.

She failed to mention they took out two loans on the house. I’m sure if she did, he’d tell her not to waste her time putting money into it.

I didn't get the impression that Dave thought buying appliances was a great idea. I think he was just saying well if you really think it will sell it then do it.

He made a good point saying that they bought it like it was. They even bought it with the old master bathroom.

He definitely cringed when she said they only make 100k ( more like 96k and that is the maximum they could potentially make) and the house was bought for 640k. I could tell she was afraid he was going to ask more. He did call her out and said you already lost money on the house. C&K want the house to sell at the price it is at because they need to make some money on the sale so they can pay their debt.

I really think if they dropped that house to 550k they would have an offer. People walk in and see all the upgrades it needs and walk away because of the price.

I wish he would have asked her more about their other expenses.

I honestly just think that is the excuse the majority of the people say or the realtor is just using that as the excuse.

However, I do think that the landscaping could be a real complaint. From what we have seen of the yard it looks like they have not really kept it up.
