Katie said in the video yesterday she was going to start posting a picture everynight of their dinner. I'm going to have to look because I can not figure out how she will get a month of meals out of what she bought.

I didn't make it through the whole video and didn't see the paper plates or hear the roll of paper towels a day comment! How do they use a roll of paper towels a day? I try to use real towels for everything I can. They must dry their hands with paper towels? How wasteful! Why do they need paper plates? How hard is it to just wash the dishes as you use them?

I agree, they have not humbled themselves at all and quite frankly I don't think they even realize how entitled they are! There are so many people I the U.S alone who live so far below the poverty line and don't know where there next meal is coming from. Katie has the potential to use her degree to make a decent salary for her family and chooses not to. They think buying their kids shoes from walmart is humbling. There are so many families who would love to be able to buy their kids a brand new pair of shoes from walmart. They need to go volunteer at a womens shelter or homeless shelter. I just can't even with them, there is so much suffering and poverty in the world and they think going without their favorite pizza is a sacrifice. How can people continue to praise them.

I dont understand where all of these magical gift cards are coming from. I think they are full of shit tbh. Finding an extra gift card or two is one thing, but everytime they do anything they justify it by "we got a gift card!" mmmk sure, jan.
also, yesterday in the video when she was talking about how she "looked and I was still subscribed" to that meal planning program? havent they been looking at their spending/statements and budgeting? how are you just discovering you are subscribed to something. More lies.
Lastly, they still did valentines day, Katie took Brooks to that play centre, now she is getting a massage... their lifestyle hasnt changed at all. They need to FEEL this. In order to hit rock bottom or understand how bad it could be if you dont change, dont you think they should feel the severity of this? Like, maybe having to say NO to the kids on something or skipping out on valentines day.... This is all a joke to them, I honestly think she got excited about aldi grocery hauls and budget envelopes and it doesnt go deeper than that,

The massage gift card was brought up in a vlog a year or so ago. They said then it was a couple of years old.

That’s really funny because in the vlog where they compared their bank statement from February 2019 to this year, they had a massage envy charge from February 2019 for around $60. It wasn’t highlighted or mentioned in that vlog, Katie just skipped mentioning that particular charge.

You shift your eyes like crazy and make 10+ Instastories explaining how old the gift card is. How do you lie so easily? If anything, it’s not more than 1 year old and I’ll bet the one she purchased in 2019 is long gone. I’m sure there will now be a mention from her or Cullen of how she bought a gift for someone at massage envy last year at this time. I just can’t even.

And Slyfox has exploited the crap out of their kids. They did a bunch of "the truth about our kids' adoption" videos. The simple truth? Their kids aren't adopted. Hannah has adopted siblings so they talk about adoption, but her kids aren't. But they did a bunch of videos implying that they were. They did a bunch of clickbait with the kids, photoshopped Caspian after his first kickboxing "fight" to make him look injured and called it "MMA" (which it wasn't).
If anyone should have put aside money for their kids, it's them. And they sold a perfectly nice house with a pool, because Andrew "always wanted" to live in a gated community. And now they're broke because they put all their eggs in the YT basket.
Ugh. These people are greedy and awful, and LIE, and people look up to them. I just don't understand.

I have never watched Slyfox, but weren't they also friends with Missy and Bryan?? Maybe it was M&B giving all their "friends" bad financial advice??? Their other friends, Corbin and Kelsey, had to move back home to Idaho and appear to be broke. So everyone they know (or knew) seemed to try to live the "YouTube Dream" and it all fell apart.

I would not be surprised if Cullen took really bad advice from Bryan. I don't think Jared would be too risky with financial advice, but Bryan seeks totally f'in cocky about his "success."

They aren't planning on making changes at all, at least not meaningful changes. Those giftcards are going to let them through and now they will be getting bigger yt paychecks since their views have been consistently higher than the previous norm. That was their plan all along to get more views with this attention grab of debt free journey. Then the house will sell and that will free up more $$ and they will go back to spending and not be so worried about the credit card debt. The only reason they are worried about it now is because they can't afford all their bills. In a few months when the house sells they will go back to their regular vlogs that get 10k views and Katie will go back to spending 300+ at target every other day.

But that's okay, because they tithe y'all! Jesus will bless them!

Off topic and personal but I know they go to a big mega church that probably pays their pastor 6 figures so I doubt their tithes and offerings go toward much good in the world. My church uses tithe money to pick up kids from low income neighborhoods on a bus and bring them to church. Sometimes with their parents sometimes just the kids. We feed them a hot breakfast and they go to sunday school. We also have a room with clothing that has been donated that they can take whatever they may need. My church doesn't do it for show or a pat on the back. These kids come from extreme poverty situations and we are trying to help them and their families any way we can. That is what being Christian is all about. Helping the community and being Christ like. Katie would scoff and look down on a family that wasn't dressed fancy walking into her church. But she is a good person because she tithes. Give me a break. Sorry for the rant.

Of course, but that's beside the point. It was obvious from the first second that they swapped away from kids content and tried to tap into a different topic: debt. They are "trolling" but are in true dept nonetheless, it isn't black-and-white, and I also believe Katie really does have difficulty changing her life style. In neither case it's purely "trolling" in my opinion.

I really don't understand why Cullen doesn't take more control. Besides taking more control over their finances, he should also go along with grocery shopping, or go instead of Katie if they have some sort of excuse that one of them should or could stay at home, in that it's more efficient.

But they can't blame Bryan for decisions they made. He may have given bad advice, but they were in no way obligated to take it. And Katie was supposedly in charge of the finances. And Slyfox went downhill a good year after they broke off from DB. They were still getting subscribers and were hanging out with the Labrants doing "secret crush" videos with Caspian and Everleigh, and those got millions of views. I think people just got tired of the clickbait and the fake "do something nice for someone" bit, when they weren't doing anything for anyone else.
I think both C&K couples were victims of their own egos. I'm sure none of them can figure out why DB was so much more successful (for a while, anyway) than they were. They saw the success DB had and expected the same for themselves. And although I loathe Bryan, their most successful videos (those awful Halloween skits, and hidden door/secret room ones) took some actual effort to make. Not a lot of effort, but certainly more than just filming a day of your life, editing it, and uploading it.
They're all overgrown children who want lots of money and stuff and don't want to have to work for it. And it eventually gets old watching people like that. Katie likes to blame everyone but herself for the situation they're in, so I am sure she would be happy to blame Bryan. And Jared and Ellie are spending just as foolishly. They all act as though the money is never going to stop coming in, and are surprised when views start to dwindle.
And to whomever said Walmart was "expensive"-- a 12 pack of Bounty name brand paper towels is $9.98 at my local Walmart and the store brand at Aldi is $11.64. I will rag on them for using a roll per day because it's horrible for the environment and just beyond wasteful, but I can't fault them for buying them at Walmart.

Apparently Gaines “needs” Pediasure because she’s a picky eater. Bullshit. They feed her foods devoid of nutrients. Then give her a drink that’s the equivalent of a chemical shitstorm to balance it all out. No kid needs those drinks. It’s a marketing gimmick to keep parents buying when their kids outgrow formula. And it’s easier for lazy parents to give these drinks and convince themselves they are taking care of their child’s health then to actually prepare and serve healthy balanced meals. Lazy Cullen and Katie strike again!
