Did they say why there was no vlog yesterday? They are usually so full of excuses I am surprised there weren't 50 instastories explaining why they were just so busy.

Also, why is every week " mentally and emotionally draining" for Katie. She puts that in almost every post. Yes debt is stressful but a lot of their stress related to debt is self made. Going and getting jobs and eliminating expenses from their lives could easily take away some of that stress.

I wonder the same thing - How is life so draining? They don't work outside the home. Their kids are in preschool/daycare. They barely make dinner. Many of us on here have two working parents and somehow manage to also get dinner on the table at night that's more than leftover frozen pizza or cheese and noodles.

K&C - talk to me when you're commuting for 90 minutes, getting home at 6pm, and trying to get dinner on the table by 6:30. You don't know what draining is.

Tbf, the amount of mental gymnastics she is doing constantly and the number of lies she has to keep track of in order to not contradict herself ( not that she’s great at that part) must be exhausting.

Here's an example of another YouTuber that I love, who is paying off some substantial debt. She is real, admits her faults/weaknesses and is attacking this in such a BETTER way than these 2 morons:



I love this woman. Her videos about minimalism are SO real and inspiring. She's NOT perfect, which is what makes her so relatable and her videos so appealing. She's not in the same dire situation as K&C. She has a pretty decent amount of debt, but it sounds like they can afford their mortgage and are not at risk of losing everything! Even still, she is still being far more level headed and realistic about her debt, and how to tackle it than K&C.

It's only mentally exhausting because their lives are completely just a giant cluster fuck.

How hard is it to get on a schedule?
5 a.m-wake up, shower, get ready,
-make school lunches
-breakfast
-get kids up
-feed kids
-get them dressed
-take them to school
-make "business" calls
-answer emails
-film video
-laundry, house work
-pick up kids
-kids nap
-more work
-kids up
-make dinner
-night routine
-kids in bed
-more work/free time

Most parents do all of this with either both parents at work all day or one parent at work and one at home. These two have TWO parents home all damn day! Figure it the fuck out! If they have really minimized their lives like Katie claims then their lives shouldn't be this CrAzY!

You cannot tell me that these two don't sit on their phones for hours a day looking at social media while the kids are at school.

Why cant they put a roast with potatoes and carrots in a crockpot in the morning, let it cook while they " work" (LOL)? Theres so many things they can make that Katie wouldn't have to stand over the stove all day cooking. Give the kids Zucchini noodles, a healthier alternative. I agree, someone was talking about spending $100 on a birthday. They should use any and all extra money to pay off their debt and keep a roof over their kids heads. Instead they still have that yearning to spend needlessly. I doubt either one will ever change.
I think the reason they didn't post yesterday was because they read post about driving drunk. They know they were a$$holes doing that, theres no excuse for putting the kids and other people in danger. They are just immature jerks.

Noticeably Katie didn't like the fruit from the by the way really nice fruit arrangement her parents gave. She _said_ she would only eat some strawberries, and this on its own didn't sound completely true to me. Doesn't she like fruit? Weird. Who doesn't like melon if you like strawberries? And doesn't Cullen like fruit? Weird. It came a little bit across to me as ungrateful to put the fruit away in the refrigerator, I don't know but when I would get a fruit basket from my parents or a friend I would enjoyingly eat some fruit from it.

To be fair I love strawberries and can’t stand melon, but that’s about the only thing Katie and I have in common.

I agree crockpot meals would be perfect for them since they are SO BUSY all day long.

The kids are "picky" because it is easier for Katie to just make them hotdogs, noodles, and chicken nuggets.

I also cannot take anymore comments from her about Brooks being crazy when almost all the times they show him he is behaving like a normal 3 year old. On her birthday when he came in the room he had a sucker in his mouth. In the early morning hours! Quit giving the kids mounds of sugar and processed food and maybe he will be calmer!

Ive been watching these two since they released their debt catastrophe... started out good but now they are half assing the Dave Ramsey plan... but Im irritated about their house selling. Their house looks so unappealing compared to other houses in the area... they need to wash their stinking outside of the house..The brick looks freaking green. If you are able to find it online theres only like maybe 5-6 photos that are appealing imo and out of like 40 photos of their house. It doesnt take much to power wash their house and stage it better. Especially the room with the red rug. Looks empty and ridiculous. I know people say that doesnt matter but it really does for the price range of their home. Maybe not for a 150,000 house but for a $600,000 yes I think staging and appliances matter a lot. So I have been following the area around them. A house popped up for sale for $630,000 was on the market like 10 days or something and its already pending sale. Could fall through but compared to Cullen and Katies house - thats saying something. Something is turning people off. And in their video they just said that someone pulled up and didnt like the brick. Yeah because Im sure it looks worse in person. NO ONES GOING TO BUY A $600,000 HOUSE THATS DIRTY AND NASTY OR THAT THEY HAVE TO PUT EVEN MORE MONEY INTO TO UPDATE AND FIX STUFF. Paint yeah. But the list is long on stuff I would personally want to do that house. And im sure it is for others too. It doesnt take that much to stage it a little better and they really need to get rid of the gold ugly outdated crap in that other bathroom and power wash the brick or do something to it.

There was a house that was just listed in their neighborhood on the same street that is pending. Most likely the home the above poster is referring to. It is a very similar home that is also in need of some cosmetic updates and it has a pool.

I really think the reason the house has not sold is because potential buyers just see it as a money pit. Which is how C&K should have seen it before buying it.

This is what I see when looking at the listing:
-needs a new roof
-powerwash everything
-needs landscaping/sod
-needs new kitchen
-needs 3 new bathrooms
-potentially needs new hvac/furnace

All of those things are extremely pricey and a lot to consider when someone is already looking to spend 600k. If I was spending that much I would want a move in ready home! If you look in their area there are so many new builds popping up that offer similar square footage for way less. I will be floored if that house sells for more than 500k any time soon.

Yeah that house is a dud. Bad layout and everything is dated and/or in need or repair or replacement. I'm sure all the major mechanical systems are due to be replaced. It's not a pretty house (IMO) and they need to clear out their stuff and have someone come in and stage it. Katie's stye is pretty tacky. WTF is up with all the turquoise and red everywhere? It's ugly.

They WAY overpaid for that house. They will soon be upside down in it.

All of the videos talking about the house just highlight how little Katie actually knows about budgeting and being an informed buyer.

They think that the basement being plumbed for a potential bathroom makes it more desirable. I think that just shows why someone would choose another home! One that already has the finished basement for a similar price!

Then they didn't realize how important curb appeal was? Everyone knows curb appeal is pretty important. They admitted their garage doors were filthy and decided to clean them. I have a feeling the whole house needs a deep clean inside and out!

They also mentioned in yesterday's vlog that when they first listed the house that they removed a lot of area rugs. Which makes me think that the rugs had some strong odors.

Here in Ohio all of our schools are closed for 3 weeks minimum and our Governor said it could be longer only time will tell.

They most likely won't put out very much content if their schools close. They won't be able to handle it.

Well, now we know the truth of why Brooks had to wait for over a month to celebrate his birthday last year. They had no money. BUT, they somehow had money to throw Gaines a party and give her real gifts that she asked for and not free crap that was sent to them from random companies.

I also cannot STAND Katie on her high horse... "I can already see the comments now about how your kids don't need to have a birthday party that is fine if that's what you want to do for your kid but OUR kids will have birthday parties. It is what it is." UGH! Again, you got yourselves $100,000 in debt!! The kids will not CARE or even REMEMBER having these big expensive parties!! Just make a boxed cake and invite family and a few friends to play at your house and call it a day!

The fact that they are already trying to talk about sinking funds and what to do with "extra" money is insane!!! You are still over 80,000 dollars in debt!!! They are seriously crazy. And, honestly, I have never seen two stay at home parents be SO overwhelmed and frazzled by having ONE sick kid home. It's ridiculous.
