Like someone else mentioned, it is a very very strange combination of ingredients. It sounds really vile, and I am NOT a picky eater.
Canned mushrooms? Seriously gross. Not only do they not taste good, but I found this information on the FDA site: An average of 5 or more maggots that are 2 mm or longer per 100 g portion of drained mushrooms and the proportionate liquid, or an average of 5 or more maggots that are 2 mm or longer per 15 g of dried mushrooms. ... Decomposition -- An average of 10%; or more decomposed mushrooms by weight. This is what is allowed by the FDA.
She touched the pasta with her hand after touching her phone. She clearly doesn’t realize how many germs are on phones. So gross.
Who adds whole basil leaves to a recipe and removes them after? Has she not heard of doing a chiffonade of fresh basil and adding it at the end? Oh yeah, Hod forbid she eat something fresh and green. Is she confusing Basil with bay leaves?
She made “homemade garlic toast” with sandwich bread. Seriously. Oh, and her “fresh” Parmesan was allegedly moldy. First, it isn’t “fresh,” if it is pre-shredded and in a plastic tub. Second, I wonder if she was actually seeing the cellulose added to avoid clumping. Also, she said numerous times she is the only person who eats it, yet she made herself four whole pieces. Just for her. Additionally, she used garlic SALT instead of garlic powder on her bread.
She said she gets the pre-chopped garlic because it is “way more concentrated.” Omg. It is “literally” chopped garlic stored in oil. How would it be more concentrated? It isn’t a liquid that you cook down.
She added a whole jar of sun dried tomatoes (again packed in oil)! The concentrated and sweet flavor of these would not mix well with the other ingredients.
When describing the basil, she referred to it as “leafs” rather than leaves. Omg she is uneducated.
“Fettuccini Alfredo noodles”
At the end, she showed basically dry noodles with a few tomatoes and all of the “sauce” still in the pot.
Ok, end rant. Sorry about that. I don’t often go on long rants here, but she seriously just needs to not pretend like she can cook, let alone try to teach others.
