Did anybody listen to the podcast with his dad? At one point Jared said he went to bed with chest pains and didn't know if he would die in his sleep. His dad said he should have had Ellie take him to the ER. Jared said Ellie did know and apparently did nothing. Can you imagine just ignoring something like that? He went on to say that Ellie has her own problems with hormones and anxiety and he doesn't want to interrupt her sleep (or something along those lines). I suppose she wouldn't care if he died in his sleep as long as it doesn't affect her. Could she be more self-centered?

If Jared were really scared, and felt like he may die, why didn't he just call 911? That's what 911 is for!

Don't know but he made it sound like it happened more than once. He did go to a doctor and was told it was stress. These two act like they're in the 90s.

Maybe he didn't dial 911 himself because of what he said about not wanting to disturb Princess Ellie's precious sleep. Because having EMTs come in would definitely wake everyone up.

I don't think getting a vasectomy without Ellie's knowledge is going to help (I know you are at least partially kidding). He's so far under Ellie's thumb, it's ridiculous.
What kind of a person pushes so hard for another child when their partner is under so much pressure that he's having chest pain? Obviously someone who puts their own wants above anything else.
Asking again: how can anyone look up to her? How can anyone think that someone that selfish could possibly be a good parent?

I agree. It's almost like a cry for help. He was able to express his feelings to his dad but doesn't want to upset Ellie. He does need to step up and say no to her especially adding a new baby to the mix. Talk about stressful. I can't imagine how Jared's parents and brothers feel about her. Not in a good light I'm sure. How could she go back to sleep after her husband told her he was having chest pains and felt like he could die in his sleep? She's unbelievably selfish.

The same person who was brainwashed by her mother to think that giving a gift is not for the person who is receiving it, but for the person who is giving it. It explains ALL the crappy Christmas and birthday gifts she gets for those children over the years. "It's not about what you desire or would like as a gift, it's about what I want you to have." Geez, it cannot get any more self-centered than that. I wonder how it would make them feel to ask their husbands for a new $1,000 coat or tiffany bracelet for Christmas and instead, their husbands would give them what they wanted them to have...like a camping tent. lol I wish - just ONCE - someone would turn their behavior back on them and hold that metaphorical mirror up to their faces.

There is something very psychologically off-putting with the way Ellie (and Bonnie) try to force and enforce her children to treasure and revere HER childhood.

I wonder how nervous Jared is about their finances with the Corona virus and Bollie sales. With people having to spend extra on food, possible reduction of hours at work, etc I would think folks aren't buying their expensive clothing!
