You know what gets rid of the smell? Properly training your cats or taking them to the vet (fixed cats who pee all over are either territorial or have an infection possibly) but they need to replace carpeting or flooring and subflooring

I can't stand it anymore, Katie's disadvantaging of Brooks. And I call BS they didn't have any money as an excuse for not throwing his party. Cullen, enough is enough! Katie, I don't fall for your crap, don't act as if you're so honest in openly admitting a weak spot. It's a lie. In the summer they were still pretending living the rich life and delusionally living off of CCs while having no real money and seeing nothing wrong with it. Gaines's birthday was LATER in September. Even if they did have a higher income in September, their financial attitude hadn't changed and they were still living as if there was no debt. Hell, she doesn't have money NOW but is still spending! Making up six Entertainment excuses of "envelopes", only for starters.

She is such a hypocrite in lying. If she was aware of their dept in the summer last year, she should have started their debt disaster a half year ago.

Schools here in our County in NJ are now closed until April 20th after a guy who knew he had the illness decided to spend three or four days traveling through the county to public places. It doesn't matter at this point. I pulled my kids out of school on Monday I'm a cancer survivor and my immune system is compromised and my almost 76-year-old father who has health problems lives with us. I was not about to risk it. I rather attempt to be safe than sorry.

Cullen said he thinks or thought that a “move in ready” house was one with no furniture in it. So that’s why he sold all the furniture that could stage the house. Move in ready is not empty, it’s a house that doesn’t need to be fixed up! That has new roof, matching bathrooms, new appliances etc. etc. everything their house doesn’t.

I looked back at pictures of their old house, and that house had appliances that were way newer than what they have now. Those built in ovens and microwave have to be difficult/ expensive to replace, too. It’s a very specific size.

I think real estate terminology is confusing. I think of a furnished house as "turnkey"...but "move-in ready" is just updated and doesn't need repairs. I guess it probably depends on where you live.

Katie, people came and looked at the house when they couldn't get close to your asking price b/c the house has been on the market for like 8 months and hasn't sold!!! They know there is something very badly wrong and were hoping to get a steal and YOU TWO should WANT to get out from under the monstrosity!!!

They are crazy... they could have been closed and out of the house by the end of March and they passed it up. I guess the bottom line is what we've been saying here all along.. they are upside down on their mortgage and are unable to bring any money to the table. They are SCREWED. I really can not understand how they thought they would be approved for a personal loan??!?!?! Are they really that stupid? Just in denial? A little of both?! It makes no sense...

If they want out of the house they are going to have work with the lender on a short sale. At this point their credit is already ruined so they might as well do it. These two think this is all a big joke. A short sale would get them out of the house and they can start over and work on the other debt.

How stupid to you have to be to already be deeply in debt, missing payments and actually apply for a loan to create MORE debt, and be surprised that you aren't approved?

I live in the same metro area as Cullen and Katie and one of my favorite things to do is browse online listings on realtor.com. I'm not in the market to buy, I just like looking at houses. There are so many other houses available in this area with better layouts, upgraded appliances, and at lower prices. Their house is just odd to me. The front room is an awkward space and the kitchen/bathrooms look a bit dated. I can't imagine anyone choosing that house when so many better options are available. It seems their only hope is to drop the price again.

Good grief they are clueless. They actually thought an unsecured personal loan for $20k was even a possibility? From the comments here is sounds like they actually applied and got rejected? Or was it just an idea they floated? How could they not realize that loan application alone would harm their credit score even more?

I agree with previous posters, at this point they should negotiate a short sale or borrow that money from her parents. Although, I kind of believe the theory that they've already burned bridges with family but asking for money and then continuing their poor decisions.

Some of their viewers are just as delusional. Blaming the potential buyers who made an offer for not accepting the counter offer. Those potential buyers were smart enough not to overpay for this house.

ETA: And now the house showings will grind to a halt for at least a month. Not to mention the delays with paperwork and processing.

I would suck it up if I were them and sell absolutely everything I could to get close to the 20k and then ask her parents for the rest. Better than losing the house or ruining their credit further with a short sale.

HashtagBlessed I didn't even think about delays because of the virus! You are right I am sure showings will slow way down! This is like the perfect storm they are so screwed.

Or get a real job??!! Omg. If they had both gone back to work in January think of how many thousands they would have saved now. In addition to all the videos they’ve put out they might have made enough to cover the $20k closing costs. At this point I’m praying they have to declare bankruptcy. They are not facing reality and they deserve to hit rock bottom. Maybe then they will see it.
They are like alcoholics who are in denial. (Which is ironic since they also have a problem with alcohol. Lol.) But they aren’t doing everything they can. They are trying to maintain their lifestyle while making tiny almost useless accommodations.
Katie picking pre made Costco meals when she’s home all day with no kids?! Yeah that’s healthy. I’m sure ramen is just as healthy for 25 cents.
