I don't get it either. Someone said it's maybe because they are sold out of stuff. Glad they are saving/spending on birthdays parties, but they don’t have $20k for closing costs. Did they say the pump was covered by a warranty? She can justify all she wants. Birthday parties are just not in their budget right now.
