They rely heavily on the Church for all their needs even if it keeps them poor, bigoted and stupid. Meanwhile, their beliefs drive businesses away from their rural/semi rural areas. If there arent enough ppl and good businesses there to support local infrastructure or schools, then they have lower taxes (which Tawra thinks is a good thing, but its not) Lower taxes means school ratings suffer. And your kids dont accel (IE kids being Baristas or Cellphone sales) ...
When a person shows signs of being gifted, creative or having promise, they end up leaving for the big cities.
Once they get to the big cities, they rapidly lose their bigotry and strange assumptions of gay ppl, black ppl, etc.
They are forced to examine their beliefs from the rural areas against what they now know to be true from the cities.

NOTE: AFTER the bigoted Duck Dynasty family had that daughter who competed on DWTS, they then softened or eliminated
their stance on gay ppl, because of their interaction with all the gay ppl that worked on DWTS. They hadnt been around any
gay ppl ever and once they got to know that they were pretty good ppl, they quit saying bigoted things,

As it said in the above article, MOST trends start in the cities, some of those trends seem weird etc. and thats why the Pastors and
other ppl in the rural areas use those trends as an example of why the cities are EVIL. But Trends are fads (like Bell Bottoms)
and usually fade away.

My question is, why hasnt Christianity HELPED the rural ppl in the Bible belt?

What did Christianity do for Tawra and her Mom? Why are they SICK? Why hasnt God cured them?

If Tawra and Jill (etc) were in the Cities, they would have more resources to help them cope with George coming out as Gay.
If Jills mom taught her about gay ppl, and sex etc without the Christian bent to it, Jill would have recognized George was gay
and never married him. If Jill had been educated and not married a gay man, her central nervous system wouldnt have been
pushed over the limit into Fibromyalgia (TRAUMA causes Fibro) and shed be happy and healthy today.
And even with Tawras upbringing with a gay dad and that trauma, Tawra could be cured of her illnesses by seeking a regular
psychiatrist/shrink who would have helped her with her self limiting black and white thinking and perhaps she could have had a
great relationship with her father before his passing.

See this is the issue, Christianity isnt giving answers, psychologists DO.
Tawra should have asked herself whether she wanted to be sick and sad and depressed and angry all her life (things God appparently
isnt helping her with) or whether she wanted to be healthy, happy, and free of all the hate and anger.
God teaches Grace, but Tawra isnt getting the messages.

I hate to quote Dr Phil, but "Tawra? Hows that (Evangelical Christianity) working for you?"

Oh my, she was on a rant for her show yesterday. I just listened to the broadcast. When I want to feel belittled and stupid again, I will watch this show again. She talks about how much work they do. I know they have a YouTube channel and they sell cookbooks that according to her are so much better then Betty Crocker. They get money from her disability and she is telling people who have hospital bills to just go out and work more. What if they can't?

Shouldn't she be off the government assistance for her fibro condition? And I don't believe her when she says that she cannot get off the assistance. Am I missing something or not understanding things correctly?

Did you catch how many times she talked about her yelling and "people saying she yells"? What people? I thought she didn't read comments? Could she--gasp, be looking at this forum?!
