Re: Living On A Dime
And, do get started on the homemade goat soap website her daughter runs. She said she doesn't MAKE the home made soap. That she just enjoys packaging the soap. Yes, my favorite part of crafting is when I put it in a box...
Tawra sniffs and sniffs the soap in camera like it's the precious from Lord of the Rings. It looks gross and I wonder if they then turn around and sell it to an unwitting customer. Eww
And speaking of how they package things from their house, their house is filthy. I wouldn't buy anything packaged from that cesspool.

Re: Living On A Dime
I want to add is that these people eat all fucking day. Tawra works all day testing other people's recipes for her to rip off and put in her next cookbook. They also take that food and right it off in their taxes. So, these people eat for free all day. Not only do they eat free, Tawra gets paid from disability to do this "work."
And in the last show she was so upset that people give her grief about peddling her cook book when people are struggling--yada yada. Again, what people? I thought she doesn't read comments?

Re: Living On A Dime
This lady gets more extreme every day. I have a hard time believing that she serves her family so little food. I have often wondered about her kids always coming on to eat and whispering about it as well. I have wondered how much she pays them to say how good her food is in front of the camera. And my pet peeve is when she is always sniffing the soap as if she is getting high. Neither her or her daughter make the soap, yet according to her, it is a soap that is so like the one she makes.
And she does yell and her husband just sits there smiling. One knows she is about to go off on a rant when she rolls her eyes . . .watch out.
As for the TV show . . . and all the other TV show producers and such who wanted them to be on their shows or have their own show? Really? Dr Phil even.
Does she lay awake at night dreaming of these things to make herself more memorable or popular?
Afterthought. I never thought of their buying food could be a tax write off. Good point on that one.

Amelia? Their Food, their mortgage, anything they use for their show is a write off. The house is their studio for YT.
Thus the house is a biz write off, thats why they were looking for a house with a separate studio area and lots of land.
Check Check Check! All those write offs!
Making the soaps ETC. provides more write offs.
They have 2 accounts, one for the family and one for the business. Ill bet they put a lot more on BIZ expenses than not.
For 5 kids, each gets a tax deduction of $2400 I think?
All Tawras medical expenses...
So Ill bet they pay little taxes.
So little taxes, but getting those disability checks.
Lets not forget they also got that $25K check from Mineral Rights. I wonder why they move a lot?

Re: Living On A Dime
Let's talk about that soap for a moment. Shall we?
Tawra has a freaking "How to make soap for beginners e-course". She spouts off such inaccurate information it's not even funny. Anyone that follows her "teachings" on the subject and then goes and sells that soap is very likely to end up in a court room somewhere being sued. Her soap recipes are nothing special. I've run them through soapcalc and they are not even good recipes. She teaches people that hot process soap has to "dry out" for a week or two. Not true. ALL soap, whether it be hot process or cold process needs to cure for a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks. Period.
And let's not forget she was making all that soap to sell in her regular kitchen dishes that she uses to feed her family every day...
Elly is now selling soap and goat milk cream. I asked whether Tawra made the goat milk lotion herself or if she purchased a base... She was purchasing a base and adding fragrance... Mixing it in the same kitchen dishes... So now Elly is buying the same bulk lotion base, mixing in some fragrance oil and putting it in a jar to sell. Her soap is being purchased in bulk from a wholesaler and she is putting it in the package and mailing it out. She isn't "making" anything. She is lazy like her mother... the apple clearly didn't fall far from that tree.
Now, Social Security Disability. Tawra is getting it and so are her minor children. They get a benefit check every month based on what she is getting. I don't believe for a second that she is ill or that she claims her income from Living on a Dime OR Dining on a Dime or the other 45 freaking ebooks she has. It's way too damn coincidental that she, her brother and mother all got sick at the same time, with no explanation. So, getting Social Security means that she also gets Medicare (not to be confused with Medicaid because Medicaid is income based and goes by household income, not just hers). So after her yearly deductible of about $150 is made they pay for quite a bit of her phony doctor visits.
She is too sick to "work" outside the home, as is her mother, but they are perfectly fine in front of the camera telling people what pieces of garbage they are if they don't take their advice.
And what the hell is with Jack constantly whispering in her ear and eating like he's never had a meal in his life ?

I need to look up Mineral Rights. That keeps being mentioned and i'm very curious why they're getting 25k.

Re: Living On A Dime
It is fascinating MoeMomma!
You know why? You can buy a house, buy the mineral rights, then sell that house but keep the mineral rights
in perpetuity. Making lots of money on every single house you have ever bought.
Its a practice thats frowned upon, but people still get away with it.

Re: Living On A Dime
The way to get mineral rights money is if a company is drilling on your land. There is no one drilling at there home in Colorado. So, process of elimination it must be a former property. So there is someone out there on land that is getting drilled on but the benefit is going to the Kellams. That is so Christian of them. (Sarcasm)

Re: Living On A Dime
She knew there was mineral rights on that land. But she said she thought they were going to someone else and she didn't know they went to her on her property. I can't remember what show that was on, but it was just before their big trip announcement. Kind of convenient that they happened to get all that money then almost immediately went on a long trip to other countries. I do wonder why she wants to get a different house though. She is really going up in the world of bigger houses, money to build her mother a house and acreage to do all that on. I am sure they would be keeping the mineral rights and just sell the house. And now she is going to plant tomatoes? Why? she is always saying that gardening is a huge waste of money and it is cheaper to buy the things then it is to grow them.
And yes, Jack is always whispering something to her. I was always taught that that was rude to do.

Re: Living On A Dime
The whole situation completely blows my mind. The mineral rights check couldn't have come at a better time for them. 25k to go over seas for 7 weeks. I'm sure that check probably comes every year right around the same time and she was fully expecting it. Seems to me that she is a huge liar and she is duping low income people into believing that she is so smart and can fix all their troubles by yelling at them and telling them to get it together.
Heidi seemed sensible at first and then she began to act just like Tawra. I don't really know her story, other than she totally idolizes Tawra and Jill.
I had absolutely no idea that Tawra's father was gay. I was not expecting to read that. What on Earth is she going to do if one of her children is gay?

Re: Living On A Dime
Moemomma? Just after reading here the past 4 days Im changing my mind about the entire story they tell ppl.
I dont even believe that Penny Pinchin Mama story now. I used to. but not now.
The very fact that they are SELLING their EXPENSIVE wares to ppl who should be conserving money at this time, makes them SHYSTERS/SCHEISTERS

Flylady's book is 10Bux
Flyladys planner is $18
BUT to actually work the Flylady program is FREE
Marie Kondos book is $10
JUST WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TAWRA? WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE CHARGING SOO MUCH FOR OLD OUTDATED ADVICE, UNHEALTHY RECIPES AND A PLAGIARIZED PLANNER, DURING A PANDEMIC?
TAWRA YOU ARE NOT IN TOUCH ANYMORE WITH REALITY, IF YOU CANT SEE JUST HOW OBSCENE THIS IS.
I ALSO DONT THINK YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN, YOU ARE JUST A BIGOTED, SELF RIGHTEOUS, GRIFTER.
YOU USE YOUR RELIGION TO SUPPORT YOUR BIASES.
AND IM THE LIBERAL ATHEIST THATS SUPPOSED TO BE EVIL RIGHT TAWRA?
GUESS WHAT THIS EVIL LIBERAL ATHEIST HAS BEEN THINKING ABOUT? SINCE IVE BEEN SHELTERING IN PLACE ALL I FUCKING THINK ABOUT IS ALL THE GREAT SHIT I WANNA DO FOR OTHERS AFTER THIS IS ALL OVER.
I AM WORRYING THAT THE FOOD PANTRY NEAR ME IS ONLY STOCKING CARBS AND KIDS WONT GET NUTRITION.
I WORRY ABOUT MY FAVE NEIGHBOR WITH RA AND IF SHE GETS SICK SHELL HAFTA GO OFF HUMIRA.
I WORRY ABOUT THE GREAT OLD COUPLE ACROSS THE STREET.
I WORRY ABOUT LOSING PPL I CARE ABOUT.
FROM WHAT IVE SEEN FROM YOU, YOU ARE THE TYPE THAT WOULD TAKE THE LAST CAN OF CHICKEN FROM CHILDREN.
MOEMOMMA IM GONNA PM YOU TODAY

Re: Living On A Dime
This explains Tawra, why she lies, why she thinks shes smart
What Is the Dunning-Kruger Effect?
The Dunning-Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people wrongly overestimate their knowledge or ability in a specific area. This tends to occur because a lack of self-awareness prevents them from accurately assessing their skills.
The concept is based on a 1999 paper by Cornell University psychologists David Dunning and Justin Kruger. The pair tested participants on their logic, grammar, and sense of humor, and found that those who performed in the bottom quartile rated their skills far above average. For example, those in the 12th percentile self-rated their expertise to be, on average, in the 62nd percentile.
The researchers attributed the trend to a problem of metacognition—the ability to analyze one’s own thoughts or performance. “Those with limited knowledge in a domain suffer a dual burden: Not only do they reach mistaken conclusions and make regrettable errors, but their incompetence robs them of the ability to realize it,” they wrote.
The Dunning-Kruger effect has been found in domains ranging from logical reasoning to emotional intelligence, financial knowledge, and firearm safety. And the effect isn't spotted only among incompetent individuals; most people have weak points where the bias can take hold. It also applies to people with a seemingly solid knowledge base: Individuals rating as high as the 80th percentile for a skill have still been found to overestimate their ability to some degree.
[*]This tendency may occur because gaining a small amount of knowledge in an area about which one was previously ignorant can make them feel as though they’re suddenly virtual experts. Only after continuing to explore a topic do people often realize how extensive it is and how much they still have to master.
[*]IE Tawra took one soap course, and made some soap and thinks shes an EXPERT.

Re: Living On A Dime
Yeah, seriously though, I have never interacted with these people. Yet, they post many videos defending their ability. We are not the only ones notifying them of their stupidity. I mean, why post so many videos opening with statements like "we know because we survived being chronically ill.". Experts can simply explain their point without the constant assurances. I mean, what if you went to your doctor and they were constantly talking about how they went to medical school. Umm...people that can think can see right through the bullshit. Jill--ya basic.

Re: Living On A Dime
Does Jill drive?
She lives on a little over $700 a month (It used to be $700, but she wasted no time running to the Social Security office to collect from her dead, gay exhusband).
They keep saying she gets SSI. Did she not work on the books prior to becoming "sick"? If she is disabled and worked, she should get her SSD and if her income is low enough she should get SSI as a supplement... But HOW is she getting SSI IF she isn't collecting any money from Living on a dime?
Medicare would be given to her on SSD and Medicaid would supplement that.
All their money stories just don't add up.

I wonder if her long winded fictional Christmas stories are original?

Once you divorce, you cant get anything from your ex
And you certainly cant collect on a dead gay hubby if that hubby REMARRIED.
and you cant collect of a non dead ex hubby either
All Georges benefits would go to his husband.
You also cant collect back child support after 35 years.

Re: Living On A Dime
My father was a pilot in WW2. He had 2 ex wives and 3 children.
When he died, NONE of us got anything from Social Security.
Especially his ex wives.
His first wife, had taken an insurance policy out on him years ago
and when he died she cashed in on that.
But she was not entitled to anything else Neither was my mom.
My oldest sister is super astute and she would have known if she
could get any money from SS or GI benefits. And she didnt get anything.
Now my father having brain damage was wishy washy and occasionally forgot
our child support, so while my father was alive, she requested money from his
Social Security and got it.
Now, if George put a stipulation in his will for Jill, that would be different but
if you have been divorced for 35 years, I doubt shes gotten anything, again especially
since he had remarried.
Im waiting to see what Iwasneverhere_0 says, cause I could be wrong
George I think was in the military prior to Piano repair.
