Wow, Katie really only cherry picks what suits her from professionals offering advice. The kids eat in color Instagram account she recommended actually has great advice yet Katie's attempt to emulate that advice is laughable. The example was cake given wit dinner but the dinner was fish, fresh veggies and I believe quinoa. Katie just took from that "oh I can give them dessert first". Dessert is fine for kids that are getting allnof their other nutritional needs met. Why does she give her kids dessert every night? She has a lot more to worry about than allowing her kids the choice of what food to eat first.

Taking care of their kids is just So hArD! Did you know? They couldn't possibly film videos and edit them when their kids are home all day!

In all seriousness though they won't put out a lot of content while the kids are home because then it would prove our point that the kids don't need to be gone 8 hours a day. They are the laziest people I have ever seen.

I applaud their budgeting but they seem completely oblivious to the fact that they are spending THOUSANDS a month currently on interest just for their car loan and CC. It's literally just paying thousands of dollars of interest every month. They can own a second car that doesn't cost them $900/month. I find it such an odd mindset that they'd almost rather foreclose on that house rather than sell the SUV and pull the kids out of full day school. Are there not preschools around them that offer schooling for a few hours a week instead of it being a full day/daycare type of thing? I'd suggest pulling the house off the market, selling the SUV and even finding a side hustle could allow them to stay in that house for a few more years. Maybe even find a college student to rent a bedroom to for the short term. I'm afraid selling that house isn't going to happen without another large price drop.

I totally understand making due with what you have, and "shelf cooking" to use up whatever you have in the house...

But everything she makes looks absolutely sickening.every technique she uses is stupid. Everything looks inedible and absolutely disgusting.

Yeah, I definitely don't blame the kids for not eating what she makes. It looks like slop that pigs eat she is definitely an everything but the kitchen sink cooler.

I find my kids eat with less complaining when I keep the meals simple. How hard would it be to grill some chicken breast cut it up for the kids and let them dip it in ranch.

I love how she claimed Gaines asked for the pizza again for dinner. Well duh Katie if I asked my 4 year old what he wanted and went along with it he would eat crackers and jelly beans for dinner. I do think it is great to give your kids some say in meals but Katie just does whatever is convenient for her. I let my kids choose between two options I have picked. Like do you want grilled chicken or spaghetti and meatballs? I just cannot understand feeding your kids chicken nuggets, cheese and mayonnaise on white bread and frozen pizza every day.

How hard would it be to make a pizza?! At least homemade is a little better than frozen.

Serving pizza for dinner every night and calling it leftovers only works when it’s once in a while. Pizza for dinner 6 nights a week? That’s not leftovers, it’s laziness.

Pizza with ranch, pasta with cheese, cupcakes, jello, cheese sandwiches with mayo, chips, popcorn, pediasure. Am I missing anything? I’m pretty sure that’s their entire diet.

They are setting their kids up for disaster, it’s shameful.

Im really shocked that she is even showing what the kids eat every night, it’s so embarrassing that 2 stay at home parents can’t prepare a decent meal for their kids.

There are plenty of behavior resources out there that show how to get even the pickiest kid to eat. Sometimes it is a matter of put your foot down. Kids sometimes have to try things six plus times before they decide they like it. Plus Kelley had no trouble getting Gaines to eat better foods, which says to mean this is a situation where tough love is needed. The kids eat chicken nuggets, so there is no excuse for not eating grilled chicken. They eat French fries, no excuse for some mashed potatoes. Add something new on the plate that they must try. Everyone eats together. They eat what they are served. It is all how you present it. Temper tantrum? Ignore it. Meal time is meal time. You eat what you are given, knowing that you have given them options they can eat, plus something new.

It is literally the easiest thing to make healthy meals. Tonight I made rice in one pot. In a second ground beef, zucchini, shredded carrots, some garlic, onion powder, parsley and pink salt, then mixed it with the rice. Simple, well balanced and each person could add additional flavors, be soy sauce, sriracha, watchever. It will take work on their part, but food is medicine and what you feed your body is what dictates how it handles life.

I can't believe they don't eat as a family which gives them a chance to try new things. Usually kids want to mimic what their parents do so this would be a great moment to have them eat what the adults eat. This time allows for opportunities to sit down and just talk whether it be setting expectations, what the plans will be tomorrow, etc. What is the reason C&K eat after the kids are in bed? Lazy!!!

Novel idea: If Cullen or Katie had gotten back to their salaried jobs they could weather covid a lot better. Now they are officially screwed. Idiots.

They feed them pizza every night because it's easy and they dont start cooking dinner for themselves until 8-9pm. Cook a normal dinner at 5 and everyone can sit down together. It's not rocket science

Katie and Cullen are losing income from this because they can't manage to post more than a couple of videos a week. It looks like they are cutting their own income by half. This makes zero sense in their financial situation.

I will say I didn't make it through two minutes of their last video because Katie has zero credibility as a therapist.
