Where is the house they bought? It's obviously not California.Goodgirl wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 12:58 pmThey are idiots if they think their viewers didn’t expect them to buy a house. It was definitely a good idea. Cute house, too.MackM wrote:Thank goodness they bought a house. There was so much BS with them “living full time for an entire” year in the RV and they are too self-absorbed to provide the stability their girls need. At least with an actual home that stays in one place and a community, the girls will be able to get some of what they need.

Re: Phil and Alex | Part 8
I remember them seeing someone as a couple after one of the losses. I can't remember the details but it seemed as though they had an established relationship and saw the councilor together. I don't remember her talking about an individual therapist, doesn't mean she doesn't but it's pretty unlikely IMO.sd9008 wrote:I think Alex needs a therapist. Has she ever said she talks to one? I dont follow consistently enough to know...Here_2_talk wrote:How does Phil manage to put out a heartfelt IG post, when Alex fails every time. She’s a blamer and I bet a pretty shitty partner to Phil right now. Phil is broken over her baby’s diagnosis, Alex is broken up about her perfect baby dream being shattered.
And that is the difference between these two people.

I don't think homeschool is a great choice for them but not because the baby is not well. Baby will only be in NICU for what? Maybe a month if she's born close to term and things go ok? Maybe a CHD mama can chime in here. She's due at the end of May, school likely isn't going to go back into session this year anyway.sondraK wrote:Does anyone think they can efficiently home school? I wonder if they made a profit on the sale of their condo which covered a portion?

I would have thought that would have been blown with the rv renos, travel, petrol, camp fees etc?
Re: Phil and Alex | Part 8
My husband is home schooled and usually homeschool kids go through a home schooling program.. parents really don't have to do much. They also have co-ops, atleast that's what my husband did and he was homeschooledMissy1393 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 9:32 pmI don't think homeschool is a great choice for them but not because the baby is not well. I believe they have said in a previous video maybe it was not long before or after they went on the road, that they had heard good things of Nashville and were maybe planning to look for a house thereNowAndThen87 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 4:00 pm I’m so glad to see no one else here believes their BS that the house wasn’t planned and we didn’t already know about it

Is this the house they went to see a while ago? That one had a lot of land too.
I'm glad they've bought a house, some stability for the girls, lots of space to run around too

Re: Phil and Alex | Part 8
Well, I expect we will have the big "where we live" reveal. I thought Alex said they had planned to move several years since, like she or Phil also said that they planned the RV trip for years?!
Doubtless the parents have laid money out for the house also.... And why on earth if they planned to buy a house, did they spend all that time and money on the RV renovation. A good clean and overhaul would have given them a reasonable home for the "nine months full time RV travelling"

The new house is definitely in a suburb of Nashville. They had their fetal echo at Vanderbilt CH in Nashville. The restaurant where they went to sign their papers was called Dos Margaritas Mexican Grill. I googled it. It is a local chain with 4 locations in Gallatin, Hendersonville, and Clarksville, TN. I’m guessing Hendersonville or Mount Juliet. It’s a nice area. The house is cute. I’m glad the girls will get some stability and a place to play.

Re: Phil and Alex | Part 8
I’m very sorry their baby has a CHD.
My son was premature and had to stay in NICU for his first week because his lungs weren’t fully developed. We were only allowed to hold him for a few minutes here and there, and as precious as those moments were, they weren’t the way they were supposed to be. He was hooked up to tubes and wires. It was awkward to hold him with everything he had taped to his little body, and he was just so tiny, it seemed like the lightest touch would hurt him. So, from the perspective of a former NICU parent, I feel for Phil and Alex.
The good news is Alex is a trained NICU nurse— how perfect. She will know what to do and what to ask. They are also at Vanderbilt and will have access to some of the top pediatric cardiologists in the world. Now they have a home, some stability for the girls, a place for grandma to stay when she inevitably moves in. Etc.

THAT would explain why they were driving thru certain areas of Nashville after the tornado. They were either checking on the house or headed home. Don't the grandparents live in California? How is it they always end up appearing where Alex and Phil are located?boredonthekeyboard wrote:The new house is definitely in a suburb of Nashville. Yeah, I’ll bet they were assessing tornado damage. I grew up in Cookeville, the town that took the brunt of the damage. I lived through 3 tornadoes there. I’ll bet they were glad to be in a solid house and not that RV!

Re: Phil and Alex | Part 8
Going by her latest post, looks like they've been in the new house for about 3 weeks, maybe even a month. They moved in about 60 hours after they had the news about their baby.
We know they're behind but I wish they'd put a date on screen of what day it was filmed.

Re: Phil and Alex | Part 8
They only got on the road after Alex's transfer in mid-September. So if they've been faking living in the RV for the past month, that's what, 5 months total they have been living in the RV? Minus all the time they weren't even.
But it's at least 9 months full time, right?!

Re: Phil and Alex | Part 8
It's such a weird thing to lie about. I guess they're kind of embarrassed that they spent so long talking about the RV, buying it, fixing it up, selling their house etc only to live that lifestyle for several months and not do all the stuff they talked/bragged about doing. They would've been way better off buying something newer that was ready to go so they wouldn't have to put in so much work/money/time to get on the road. But I guess a standard RV/trailer wouldn't look right at home on Pinterest, and we all know Alex can't compromise her fuckin aesthetic.IVFwarrior wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 5:45 am They only got on the road after Alex's transfer in mid-September.
