So Shari wants to go to Germany for her senior trip and Abby is the chosen one to come along. I live in Germany and can’t wait to see what they do. I could see Shari actually planning a good trip, but I’m afraid Ruby is gonna be painful to watch. We all known how she acts when she’s on vacation

Why don't they ever correct their children about covering their mouth when they cough, sneeze? Eve is old enough to know better, but Ruby says nothing, especially with new guidelines preventing spread of Coronavirus. Definitely something to work on if she want to be back at school in the fall.

All they see are dollar signs. That's all that matters to these Griffiths. They should be ashamed of themselves and hopefully change the title of their vlog. I can't imagine they won't get a lot of negative feedback.

I just finished watching and that was getting on my nerves. And she did it about 3 or 4 times throughout the vlog. I was like are you not gonna tell Eve to cover her mouth when she kept coughing? So gross...Happy+Charlie wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 6:05 am Why don't they ever correct their children about covering their mouth when they cough, sneeze? Absolutely shameless. Plus she doesn't seem at all worried that her kid is sick after she travelled during a pandemic. She talks about not wanting Eve to make the others sick, but chances are Ruby and Kevin brought whatever it is in (virus or something different) because Eve hasn't been out anywhere to get infected.
Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
What's up with the weird really small sized (possibly toddler sized) beds that Ruby and Bonnie use for their youngest? Wouldn't it just be easier if you got them either a single bed or even a twin bed? I mean buy the time I was eve's age I had normal sized single bed that was in a bunk bed. It's not like you can't afford it.

6:46 in today's vlog. Russell is a nice kid, but he's been doing this sort of "overly excited" thing for a long time. Can't think of how else to put it, but it always makes me do this face:

Ugh, Eve with gum stuck on her back was so gross. Can those kids get any dirtier? Then, Ruby just holds it in her hands and waves it around when she knows that Eve's sick. Also, filming Eve puking and putting it in the vlog... as if viewers really want to see that. And saying, "Oh, we tried to separate Eve but sometimes it's just better for us all to get sick together". Um.... what? Even if there isn't a pandemic going around that could be potentially deadly, how could she be so lazy and so unconcerned about her kids' health? She's too lazy to enforce the rules with Eve and make her stay in her room alone for one day, so, oh well, all the kids can just get sick and be miserable together.

They are protected, so Ruby doesn't care. She said this on the plane trip back, if she gets sick, it is what it is. So, she must feel that way about the whole family. I was thinking, her attentiveness to Eve while sick is shocking. She must be thinking about if she gets sick, she'll expect the kids to take care of her, so she's extended some care for Eve. I had a neighbor who whenever she was sick, she would keep her elementary school aged daughter home from school to take care of her--seems like something Ruby would do. It's a wonder others in the family aren't sick (though it remains to be seen in next few vlogs), as they do not practice good hygiene. If Ruby can't do it for her kids, she should think about the elders they will be around eventually, her parents, Aunt Linda, Kevin's parents etc.rulatows000 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 8:23 am Ugh, Eve with gum stuck on her back was so gross. It looks like 8 passengers numbers have been declining with some of their latest vlogs.
I hope it's a fact that continues so Ruby eventually ends up like Bonnie and Ellie. I used to think that she was the grateful sister but she just hides it better. I'm looking forward to get rid of hers and Kevins smug face. These people are so ungrateful.

Why does she think it's okay to film her kids vomiting? I just don't get it. No one wants to see it and it's so disrespectful to the child. Blurring out the actual barf really does nothing to help, Ruby. Just, don't film it.

I don't know get this either. She's filmed Russell puking before too. I would never in a million years film my children throwing up.natalka81 wrote:Why does she think it's okay to film her kids vomiting? I just don't get it. Yet another example of why she's a shitty mother, but people still look up to her as a parenting role model.
I don't understand.

Also, remember how Abby was on her trip with her Dad?? She just sat in the car on her phone... and didn't wanna explore, or do anything... I would pick someone who actually would want to get out and do things. See all the sites, the museums, etc etc... Abby just seems to wanna have her nose stuck in a book. Not trying to bad mouth Abby, nothing wrong with a book worm... but, they aren't the best of company. Nor is someone who can't stay off their phone, when you're out trying to have fun. Been there with my sisters, waiting and waiting for them to get off their phones, so we could leave the hotel room and do everything! Life's short... put down the phone, game, and books and enjoy the moment once in awhile.alexmorgan wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:36 am So Shari wants to go to Germany for her senior trip and Abby is the chosen one to come along. I must have missed this, but I'm also curious to see where they will go in Germany. I spent a little over a month there while in college learning the language and living with a host family. It was a great time! I was mostly in Cologne but also visited Hamburg and Berlin.alexmorgan wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:36 am So Shari wants to go to Germany for her senior trip and Abby is the chosen one to come along. Honestly, I think it would be nice to give Chad or Julie the opportunity to go. Shari and Chad are close, and I'm sure he'll be punished at his senior year and won't get a trip, so give him the opportunity now. I don't see Shari and Julie interacting much so can see why she wouldn't be the choice but Abby has already been on a trip with their dad and neither Chad nor Julie have. They probably count Anasazzi as Chad's trip for a lifetime so I know my thoughts are impossible.ThisIsMeCeej wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 4:12 pmAlso, remember how Abby was on her trip with her Dad?? It just makes me sad that Julie never seems to be anyone’s first choice. Shari picked Abby to go to Germany. Chad probably won’t want to bring Julie if he even gets a senior trip and Abby will probably use Shari’s logic for not picking Chad and bring one of the younger kids. Julie seems like such a sweet girl and it breaks my heart that her family can’t seem to appreciate anything about her.

I can understand why Shari chose Abby to go to Germany. She seems close to Abby and Chad might be getting a senior trip. What I don't understand was that her excuse for not picking someone else was that all the other kids were too little to remember or appreciate a trip like that. Why in the world does she lump Julie with the little kids? Julie seems just as mature, if not more mature than Abby, and definitely seems to be the smarter of the two. How could anyone think that smart, mature, and reserved Julie fits into the same category as hyperactive Russell and uncontrollable Eve? I want to think that maybe she was just referring to Russell and Eve, but the fact that she said 'the other kids' seems like she meant to include Julie in that category, which is really condescending.Audrey3196 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 6:44 pm It just makes me sad that Julie never seems to be anyone’s first choice. Thought the same, i highly doubt that Chad would get any chance to go on his own trip. Cause you know, he already was on his lifetime trip in the desert. And maybe Kevin & Ruby will say that he'll leave for a Mission soon or that they needed to rescue him and thats not a punishment.Happy+Charlie wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:23 pmHonestly, I think it would be nice to give Chad or Julie the opportunity to go. Yes. They've even tried to get Russell amped up to go to Anasazi when he gets older, as though it was a fun camping trip, not punishment.plum_spectacle wrote:Thought the same, i highly doubt that Chad would get any chance to go on his own trip. But of course, she is still making him pay. She can't keep her story straight. Either it was this great trip where he learned so much, and Russell and his cousins should go too, or it was necessary to save him from himself. I realize it could be both, but her narrative changes all the time.

Can a North American explain senior trips? I hadn't heard of it until Knorpp & South took their eldest to Iceland.
I know most US citizens haven't travelled abroad so what is a normal senior trip? Is it normal? If I heard the word I'd have thought it meant a trip away with your school year group i.e. the seniors go on a camp/ residential trip
