I can't help feeling sorry for Emma. She's at my favorite age for babies. Almost anything you do brings on fits of giggles. They love cuddles. What warms your heart more than seeing your baby running to you? I loved watching Emma run to her Momma when Rachelle left the hospital.
All that is going to change. Not 1 but 2 babies will come home. Her mom and dad will be exhausted (or will complain nonstop). Emma will never have this wonderful time of life again and I think it's kind of sad. She deserved better.

I completely agree with you I don’t get the appeal of having kids so close in age. Every YouTube family seems to do the same thing whether through IVF or not. Enjoy having one child for a while and experiencing things for the first time. It’s like once these kids hit a year the parents get bored and have another kid. I have a 3 year old brother that I’m practically raising by myself and I couldn’t imagine adding a baby to the family now. I love everything about his personality and his quirkiness as he figures out the world around him. They’ll never get these days of Emma being a sweet little girl back and they’ve wasted it away by ignoring her and getting pregnant so soon. It’s not like these babies were an accident they were planned with IVF and that takes a while. I just wish they’d focus on the kid they have now and enjoy every little bit of it. They’re so precious at this age and so wonderful I miss it so much.Jupiter wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 7:51 pm I can't help feeling sorry for Emma. She's at my favorite age for babies. I was thinking the exact same thing in the last vlog. it’s not so much the age gap because people have small age gaps all the time, but Emma is finally KIND OF thriving with her speech and stimulation..finally KIND OF getting the attention she needs..and in a matter of days it’s all about to be stripped away from her.Jupiter wrote:I can't help feeling sorry for Emma. I have been thinking this for a long time - that people in general rush way too much into getting pregnant again (especially Youtubers, but with them you know its to keep up the views and attention). I mean its understandable when you are a little older and time is not on your side, biological clock and all, but why on earth does for example a 20s female need 2 kids under 2? or 3 under 3? Makes me think they enjoy being pregnant more than the actual raising of the child. I think every child deserves to be really focused on for the first few years - those early chidhood years are so so so important for their development. And there is just literally no way you will be able to pay as much attention to your first when more are added to the mix. Whats wrong with just enjoying the time with your first child and truly focus on them, to give them the best possible start in life?Hannable971 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 8:04 pm

My first is due in October and I do want 3-4 children ideally, but I will most definitely leave space between each of them. Maybe try for the second one when this one is about 3-4 years old. Whats even better about getting pregnant again when your first is slightly older, is that they will truly understand they are getting a sibling, rather than when they are 1-2 years old and have no clue whats going on.

I've read about studies like this, I know one theory is that the man has more x or y chromosome sperm so they're more likely to conceive a certain gender. I just read an article the other day about a study suggesting that men might inherit a tendency to produce more boys or girls from their fathers. On the other hand I've also seen studies where they compared fathers of 3 or more consecutive children of the same gender to fathers with children of both genders and they didn't find any difference in the ratio of x to y chromosome sperm- so it's all theoretical and not totally clear. I just had my fourth boy so I've been curious about the subject and doing some reading recently, haha.jeaniebean wrote:The sex of a baby has exactly 0% chance to do with the sex of the siblings, how in the world does that even make sense.bunchofidiots wrote:Really? I thought it was less likely to have the opposite gender after having 2 of the same. I remember I read an article not too long ago about it. Not totally sure if it’s true or not but it would make sense since I’ve seen a lot of people have 2 boys/girls and then the third child is also the same gender as the others.AliCat91 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 1:27 am
Whether you’ve only given birth to girls before or not doesn’t dictate future genders. It’s purely pot luck. Statistically, it’s a 50% chance of having another girl.
We all actually have a slightly higher chance of conceiving a boy as there are slightly more boys to girls born each year.

Re: Rash and Justine: Too proud for a van, but will grift from fans | Part 27
So personal for a minute: i had my first at 22, second at 23 and third at 25. However, I had battled gynaecological problems since I was 11. I was told a week before our wedding (after not preventing pregnancy for 3 years) that my chance of conceiving naturally at that minute was about 5%, our odds with some fertility meds (clomid) was roughly 10% per cycle for the first 6 months, there after it dropped to lower than 5%. I produced on average 1 egg every 4 months, so we could have done ivf and “gathered” eggs at various months in the hopes of having enough viable to put back. IVF was therefore normal ivf odds. If we waited a year or two or five or ten - we were gambling our chances of having a family.
We wanted a family, desperately. We knew that we would have to go in hard and fast. We got pregnant second cycle, when he was 9 months old we consulted with our specialist who recommended 6 months prescription for clomid again as our odds had decreased in that 18mth period. Funnily enough we got pregnant that next month and she was born 6 weeks early. We had a 16mth old and a newborn. We had two under two and were done. We had decided we would give our family a few years (get the oldest to school, so 3 years) and give the clomid another go in the hopes of having #3 and an eventual #4. At the same time we were so incredibly happy with what we had.
We celebrated our youngests first birthday then our oldests third birthday and found ourselves 16 weeks pregnant out of the blue completely naturally a few weeks before christmas. We ended up with 3 under 3.5. Now 12, 11 and very nearly 9. And I am awaiting a hysterectomy, because I’m only 34 ive been waitlisted forever because i dont quite meet the criteria each time my appt rolls over.
Based on all of that I dont judge younger moms cos you never know what they have been through. Rash & Justin are a totally different kettle of fish. They are desperate to be pregnant and keep up with the joneses. If her friends werent married and having babies I guarantee she wouldn’t be either. Her clinic had no business implanting more embryos so soon after brynn and definitely not on emmas first birthday. They have a level of care to adhere to and tbh i don’t believe they have.

I solved naming the twins. Nice, gender neutral names, too!

Wasn't it Emmett and Emerson that she has mentioned before in names that she likes? That she never seemed to identify as being essentially the same name as Emma?
Re: Rash and Justine: Too proud for a van, but will grift from fans | Part 27
I don’t agree about the age gap. My son is 1 and we just started trying for #2 just because we want them to be close in age. My brothers are 12 and 6 years younger than me and i don’t want my son to feel like he’s raising his siblings like i did. However. Emma is starting to improve so much with her speech and i feel like once these twins arrive.. who’s going to help Emma when she isn’t in her speech therapy? Will they stop speaking and interacting with her as much? That concerns me, because it already seems like rachelle does the bare minimum with Emma.Hannable971 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 8:04 pmI completely agree with you I don’t get the appeal of having kids so close in age. Re: Rash and Justine: Too proud for a van, but will grift from fans | Part 27
My oldest two are 16 months apart accidently and the week before I had my second I remember crying about the time I'll lose with my oldest. With one newborn it honestly was easy to still spend time with both kids, with twins that will be interesting, I'm also not lazy or a complainer like someone we know. I have a friend who had twins when their oldest was 3 and that child still hates those twins at 7 because of how they stole time from her. Their mother also recently passed away due to breast cancer so that child can't get her time back. I realize that is an extreme situation but you never know what's going to happen and I really hope these two wake up and start being present for their children. They need to grow up and get it together. I'd be embarrassed if this were my "adult" child honestly.
