8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
I started on this forum when part 15 came out I think? But I've never heard Ruby mention her brother until this video. Not even in the really old videos I've watched. Obviously I haven't watched them all so I probably missed something, but why do we never see Ruby's brother (even in family trips with her other sisters, their sons and daugthers) etc?
Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
So glad that Chad called Ruby out on her BS and flat out said that Ruby is lying to her fans. "You told us what to do. We did not discuss, it was all you. It was cut this, cut that, cut this. We had no say in it. We had no say in it. Your lying to them." The fact that Chad felt that he had to repeat what he was saying twice to get it into her tiny brain was sad. They didn't have a discussion, Ruby became Hitler 2.0 and started dictating where they were going to stop spending money. She probably listed out her priorities like this:
1) My precious bathroom must be remodeled
2) My backyard has to look perfect and minimalistic
3) My hair needs a trim
4) My eyelashes/eyebrows need filling
5) I need new clothes for an "event"
6) My bedroom needs new pillows/blankets
7) I deserve some new towels since I gave Abbey some nice ones
8) I need to start thinking about my summer clothes
9) I need to start preparing my fall clothes
10) My kids will come last as always, whatever they need will be second to my priorities.

Chad said that since Ruby cut out electronics, why not get a pool table to have all of the kids to use? And Ruby doos response? "YoU ArE NoT ENTITLED to EnTerTaInMenT." What?? Who says that? What does that even mean??
Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
Wow I'm surprised, even Shari is picking up on her moms bs. You are weird Ruby, and you've changed then what you used to be like 5 years ago. Julie also seems sick of her mom. And if Abbey was in the video, I'm sure she'd have the same annoyed facial expression on. The only ones who seem to be unbothered by Ruby's unloving (everything is mine) behaviour is the youngest ones, Eve and Russell, and that's probably because that's what they are used to, so they don't find it strange to them.
Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
I call male cow and its food after exit! They have over half a mil! Don’t believe her lies about cutting back it is all so she can still remain relatable! Also isn’t it illegal to not know where your six year old is all day while said six year old is let loose unattended in the neighborhood? I am sure even in their bubble that is worth a visit from social services!?
Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
I wonder if Chad purposely asked Ruby to check out his clean bathroom so that she might accidentally catch that list on camera so we could see the list. I mean, he's never asked her to check out his bathroom and bedroom before, has he? If that was his plan, Chad is honestly a genius.ctx2002 wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 7:16 am What on earth is this list on Chad's bathroom mirror in today's vlog!? Seriously..."Try not to be alone"?
Ruby is so controlling and egotistical. I'm sure she is picking up this stuff from her "life coach" books. And she would clearly never be okay with one of her kids deciding to leave Mormonism. I guarantee part of her would always hold it against them, and they would be treated differently than the other kids.

I wondered about that in the beginning too, and as I watched more, I think the dynamics are that the son gravitates to the wife's family. Which is why Jennifer has 4 daughters who worship her. Emily, Beau's wife, has a big family too, and it seems they do a lot with them. You will see Beau and his family at Christmas, and the numerous family reunions that this family has. They really do spend a lot of time together, for as big of a family they are. It's what pulled me in, endearing how close they were. They all typically gather together for each birthday and holiday. However, the biggest event is their family reunion each summer they spend a week together in a rental, when they all gather on Bear Lake, because they haven't seen each other all year long. It isn't additional extended family, it is just Chad and Jennifer and their 4 daughter's and son's families and it's their family reunion.emma2948 wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 11:38 am I started on this forum when part 15 came out I think? Chad even offered to help them build it up again. I'm sure he built it again and then left... but I'm not surprised Ruby cut that out. I won't be surprised if Ruby spends money attempting to make herself look beautiful over getting one thing for her kids to enjoy instead. But yeah I've been trying to say all this time, that the youtube money they make should be shared more so amongst the kids, rather then Ruby, if Ruby was the only person showcased in the vlog, no doubt there would be 100K less views.Happy+Charlie wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 7:24 amGeez. Since Ruby had to show Chad knocking down Russell and Eve's house, she could have also shared him rebuilding it, as I'm sure he was expected to do. No, instead she has to leave only him knocking it down and Russell walking off upset with Eve. Way to make Chad out to be a dick, Ruby!
Also, I hope Ruby refrains from spending money on herself with brows, lashes and hair. I would see the kids having some kind of outlets as more important than her wanting to look pretty. A pool table is a great bonding game for the family, the cost of her beauty enhancement services would cover the cost of the table in a year. Considering Ruby and Kevin took the trip without the kids, and there will be no vacation for the kids this year, they should treat them to something, afterall, Ruby makes money from YouTube because of the kids.

Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
Today's vlog was interesting when she brought up the money situation. I haven't seen any other Youtubers mentioning their ad revenue being cut or struggling to make ends meet or changing their spending habits. It just goes to show how much they spend. I, mean, they have over 1 and a half million subscribers, Kevin is a college professor, and they make money off of social media ads/sponsorships - they should have more than enough saved to live comfortably for a few months with only bringing 20% of their former income. Do they really have nothing saved up that she's acting like they can't even afford uncrustables anymore or is she just overreacting. Because if they really are spending all of their income they earn from Youtube and Kevin's job as soon as they get it, well that's just beyond frivolous and irresponsible living. I feel like no other Youtubers are going to bring up the ad revenue getting cut because they're living in fancy houses and going on vacations and can't claim to be struggling like some other people actually are, but its just like the Frankes to think they're so entitled as to complain that their ridiculously high standard of living is disrupted.
Also Chad's mirror list is ridiculous. I don't think we've ever seen a list on anyone else's mirror. He's 15 and he can't watch television alone? The scenes with Russell and Eve were just awkward. I feel like now that the other kids are getting older, Ruby is training those two to be her little actors, feeding them ideas and lines to get views. Why did she just give a full bag of candy to her 8 and 6 year old kids, too? She barely even said anything to Eve when she sticks her whole fist in the bag and tries to grab all of it at once and snatches it from Russell. Why doesn't Eve get a mirror list telling her to have some manners and not be rude to her siblings? As for the electronics and screen time, it's just a lose-lose situation for the kids. They're not allowed to say they are bored and Ruby won't provide any means of entertainment for them, so when they entertain themselves with video games or television she gets out of control and screams at them. What are they supposed to do?

The definition of entitled is “thinking one is deserving of special treatment or privilege.” I absolutely do not think Chad is coming from a place of entitlement because he wants a ping pong or pool table. Ruby took away their electronics, they’re not allowed to watch tv, both of the yards are just dirt piles, of course Chad would want some type of entertainment. Board games and puzzles only go so far for some kids. Some kids also just don’t like to read and that’s okay! I seriously wonder what the kids do all day when they aren’t doing all the house work. They also don’t seem to be able to just hang out by themselves which is also not healthy. There are three teenagers and one preteen in that family and I’m sure all of them would like to be left alone sometimes, but not according to Ruby! They all have to sit in that living room so she can keep an eye on them and force them to do what she wants.

That whole scene of Chad knocking down the fort seemed completely acted out to me. Ruby just happened to be standing at the perfect angle recording silently when Chad wanders onto the scene and just randomly decides to fall over on the fort? I, mean, it does seem like something he'd do, but he was definitely waiting to make sure Ruby was filming before he fell over. Also, Eve and Russell's reactions were totally out of character. Those two are so wild they probably would've ran and jumped on top of him and started wrestling him. When have those two ever been known to just walk away downcast if one of the older siblings teases them or something happens that they don't like? Ruby totally instructed Chad to do that and asked the little kids to act angry, because none of them seemed their usual energetic selves. If she did do that, it makes it even worst that she didn't show him rebuilding if she's the one who put him up to it in the first place.emma2948 wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 12:31 pmChad even offered to help them build it up again. I wonder if that’s why she wanted them to share rooms? I can’t remember if it’s been mentioned on here before, but Mormon missionaries aren’t allowed to be alone either. It’s so weird to me that the family and church don’t trust them to be alone ever.Audrey3196 wrote:The definition of entitled is “thinking one is deserving of special treatment or privilege.” I absolutely do not think Chad is coming from a place of entitlement because he wants a ping pong or pool table. this came up on my tiktok for you page & the story sounds familiar! in the comments they say they were very angry at their parents!
Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
I'm just continually shocked that parents' in the USA are allowed to do this to their children.
In the UK there is the possibility that a parent would send their child to an illegal school (one not inspected) or send them abroad or 'home educate' but not correctly.
In the USA it's called an "intervention", in the UK it's called "abuse"... The only way a child would legally behave a remotely similar transport situation is secure transport to a psychiatric hospital but even then most of the time it is done in a normal car/ ambulance with nurses or police or family. Additionally the child would have had to be assessed by 2 specialist Doctors and a social worker as requiring assessment/ treatment under the mental health act... Which is not a thing we do for smoking some weed!

Ruby: I was being controlling.
Me: Great! She's recognising a problem and will give her kids a bit more freedom.
Ruby: So my solution is to not allow them to use computers.
Me: That's literally being more controlling. You were so close woman.

The same counter that they let the little kids crawl on top of, I doubt they are washing it between every use. It seriously makes me cringe every time!

This is the same family that lets their 8 and 6 year olds go days without bathing, while also playing in the literal piles dirt and mud only to then come inside, not bathe (or at the very least a bird bath) then sleep in said clothes they played outside in for days until someone realizes they haven't showered in 2 weeks. This is also the same family that a six year old had more cavities than years she's been alive, and Ruby goes along and gives them a whole pack of Red Vines (eww). This is the same family that lets their children walk around barefoot (and not taking regular showers and having to be reminded to brush their teeth) with all the dust, dirt, bird poop and dander on their feet and still have their crusty feet right on top of the food. Am I surprised? no Am I bothered? used to be, however I'm not now, just goes to show you, that you can't eat/be in everyones house. In general, the parents nor the kids have any concept of hygiene whatsoever, one of the many reasons why I just got tired of watching them. Just to add, just because someones house LOOKS clean doesn't mean it actually is.

Except for the beginning where she talks about smoking weed, this is pretty much EXACTLY what happened to poor Chad. Smh

I get you with the whole, "I'm not really bothered anymore by them." As long as I'm not getting ads watching on invidious and Ruby makes no money from me, I just now watch them for entertainment and to comment about them on this forum. To laugh at how idiotic Ruby and Kevin are and how one day, most of her kids will leave her and Kevin in that big sad minimalistic house of theirs.
Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
Today's video really just goes to show how awful of a mother Ruby is:
1) I think Julie and the other kids are just sick of eating Ruby's awful food that something as disgusting as 'Cream of Wheat' tastes better.
2) And can you believe what would happen to the kids if they lost their air pods and tried to bribe the younger kids to find it for them?? Ruby would probably punish them for an eternity.
3) I feel like any time Ruby reads to the kids, she films it. Does she spend any time with her kids if it's not for the camera?? (SHE 100% READS HERE)The same thing goes with cleaning, people here have said over and over again how sad it is that the kids always have to do all the chores while Ruby sits in the corner filming them, now she only films HERSELF cleaning when she bothers to do it.
4) Anytime Ruby tries to teach something to her viewers about cooking or taking care of children, my brain explodes.
