Yes, a trial separation is very likely with her. I don’t see her fully committing to that big of a life change without a trial. Just doesn’t seem like her. I’m also certain Dan had the boys yesterday, they weren’t in the vlog if I remember correctly.

Also, I just went through her old videos. She’s deleted even more!!! Almost all the old vlogs are down, and the “how we met” video is down. Things are brewing there for sure.

Nobody panic. Here I am thinking she was starting to open up and really it was just a cry for attention. Her little minions came to her rescue and gave her the validation she needed and all is right in the world. On to the next cup of tea and cleaning video...

It’s too soon for her to be divorced anyway. I don’t know the laws around divorce but I believe unless there are serious reasons behind the divorce. You’re generally expected to live apart for a period of time before you can file (most likely 12 months) to demonstrate the breakdown. And even then it has a few months before it can be finalized.

Poor Dan, I hope he got some legal advice. By letting Elle stay in the marital home he may end up losing fair value or expectation for compensation for it.

A few of our friends are divorced. In some cases, one or the other kept the marital home. In all of those cases, the person who kept the home had to buy the other out. I wonder what will happen here. There were no kids involved in my friends’ scenarios though.

Also I’m not convinced this is a trial separation. I think they’re separated for good and heading towards divorce. If anything, this time apart will show Dan that he deserves better - and if she invited him home, I certainly hope he would have found the strength to say no. Sadly, I think Elle is the type of person to be toxic and ever-present...I suspect she’s texting Dan all day long. She won’t let him get a sense of what life could really be like without her because she knows he will be happy and she will still be her miserable self. Sadly, he won’t know a fully toxic-free life for another 17 years! But she still has a lifetime of living in her head.

I agree that she definitely wanted to talk about Dan. I felt sad for her too. She’s clearly conflicted and it’s a shitty time in her life especially with isolation and three young kids etc. But at the same time I’m like well, you reap what you sow!

Anyone notice that Elle has been drinking a lot lately?? She just did an instastory about her wine falling onto the sidewalk, but I’ve also noticed bottles on her counter in a few of her recent videos. I’m not judging her, I have a glass almost every night with my husband, but it just seems odd for her, it’s not something she used to consume and I rarely ever saw wine bottles on her counter previously.

And yes, I believe here in Canada you have to be legally separated for a time before you can file for divorce, but I’m not 100% sure how long that timeline is. I’ve never looked into and my parents, along with everyone else I know well enough to speak about it with, are still married.

Double post, but I VERY much agree that Elle is the toxic partner in the relationship and will always make Dan, and whatever future partner he has, miserable. She has displayed so many times that she doesn’t understand or have healthy boundaries. I do feel really bad for Dan. I think he got duped. She played a good role and as soon as she had him trapped, she let her true colours show.

I perused Dan's mom's Instagram for any clues and she posted a couple of photos of Brighton. In one of the captions she commented how cute she was just lying down while Dan got the other two boys ready to go. Seems like Dan has been taking the kids during the week that's why Elle has time for pottery, pilates and yoga.

I did feel sorry for Elle in the last video. It also sad that even her die hard fans are noticing how she flip flops and branches out into different directions regularly in the past. It confirms that she has a constant discontent in her life that she tries to constantly tries to fill. Sadly having a husband likr Dan and three kids was not the thing she was looking for. I don't even know if she is ever going to realize how lucky she is/was. It's so sad to see her self sabotaging herself in guise of seeking self growth.

I hope Dan is the one that left her. It’s really crappy to have another baby in a bad situation. I hope she didn’t get her girl and tell him to leave. I really hope it was him that left.

Today's (late) Video: She finally remembers the she has a middle child and Cohen gets let out of his crib at 4 years old (only because precious Blankette needs it). She gets him a bed that fits with her *Scandinavian/Hygge aesthetic* and immediately wraps it with rope and pompoms. I certainly hope her "viking child" doesn't hang himself on that rope or wake up with nightmares of spiders attacking him

And in regards to today’s video.. who’s bright idea was it to hang that god awful light that low?? She’s going to walk into that think constantly. Also, the hanging bare lightbulb right above his bed... what a safety hazard! She’s a bloody moron. Those pompoms are also tacky as hell and terrifying.

Elle describes everything in her house as "Scandinavian" or "Scandinavian inspired," but she doesn't explain what makes it Scandinavian. She describes the bed as "hygge." The correct term is "hyggeligt" for an adjective and "hygge" for a noun, not that Elle would know that because she's not actually Scandinavian, but again, how? She's just using trendy words that don't actually describe what she's doing!

Gah, I have so many thoughts about this video.
I'm actually not going to rag on her about him being in a crib until 3.5 because my daughter was too. She slept amazingly so we didn't want to switch things up and ruin her sleep patterns.
That being said, I'm horrified by the ugly rope thing she made. It's as massive hanging/strangulation hazard, as is the lamp cord if he unplugged it and unwound it.
Also, this whole video should be titled "I Redid my Son's Room in a Desperate Hope that Gauthier Studios and/or West Coast Kids will sponsor me".
Or "I Say I Only Buy Expensive Sustainable Items, But I Actually Got This Cheap Bedding from Walmart!"

Also, someone may have noticed this before, but I was looking back through older videos and noticed that in the March 17th video where Dan is there in a vet capacity to examine Bernie that he is still wearing his wedding ring. We know Elle has been not wearing hers for months. Makes me think she's the one that initiated the separation.
