Re: Ballinger Family. Part 1
Ok, I am glad she didn't do a picture perfect house tour but the clutter would drive me insane! Some of that stuff could be easily fixed (painting over the patches would be super easy) getting rid of the broken stuff would also help. The room pairing is a little weird but it could be that Bailey and Parker get along better etc. I don't see why they didn't put Luke in their room (they have a large bedroom) and have Bailey in that room (seemed the smallest).. maybe, maybe not, but I do agree with the person that mentioned fishing for sponsors!!

Re: Ballinger Family. Part 1
yeah she was totally looking for ,or is it already planned(?) for sponsors with contrators/ house fixers or at least those companies which "declutter" your house (big hit on insta). If not why film this now?
She can be so cringeworthy, the whole intro is just weird and pathetic.Comparing yourself with others as reference is so childish.
I won't judge on clutter cause 'im not perfect myself.
the pairing of the kids is strange but maybe they chose...I don't know if Bailey is really bothered by it .
as for Parker's likes and passions, good for him, i noticed he toned down the full on Jojo/gym look lately, he's a kid and he's finding out his personality.

Re: Ballinger Family. Part 1
That last sentence is gold. It's exactly why I think they shouldn't be putting him on blast every time he dresses up. He may not be as flamboyant in a few years, and he may not appreciate his Jojo look being all over social media. Nothing wrong with him dressing like that. Their exploiting it for views or engagement, I do take issue with.Frenchlurker wrote:yeah she was totally looking for ,or is it already planned(?) for sponsors with contrators/ house fixers or at least those companies which "declutter" your house (big hit on insta). I had to turn off that house tour video. Her complaining that they can't afford remodels or construction or whatever... BOO HOO. A lot of people can't afford a house at all. That really showed how out of touch and greedy she is, always wanting and feeling entitled to more.

She gave me the same impression, like she's just in absolute disbelief that they can't immediately afford every single luxury home improvement she wants on the nice home that they own on a big beautiful piece of land in California. Re: Ballinger Family. Part 1
Does her husband work? He seems rather lady like and....twinkle toes. If she can't afford the house that she wants and the trinkets that goes with that lifestyle...then maybe she should stop spitting out the crotch rockets and save some $$ like the rest of us. While she's at it....quit the stupid lashes and ridicilous lipstick. I've never seen anyone who wears colours that least suit them.jellybean wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 9:17 pmShe gave me the same impression, like she's just in absolute disbelief that they can't immediately afford every single luxury home improvement she wants on the nice home that they own on a big beautiful piece of land in California. „How to Homeschool While Quarantined”
Does she even know what “Quarantine” means? School closing as a precaution is far from that

Re: Ballinger Family. Part 1
*I DON'T GET IT!*
We don't do homeschooling here in Greece so I might be completely wrong...BUT!... Wouldn't it be quite normal for them to do HOMEschooling while "quarantined" AT HOME?!
I mean, yeah! You might won't be able to do all those activities you do away from home here and there, but the actual schooling CAN and MUST be done like every other "normal" day, right?!
(...I haven't seen the vlog...)

Re: Ballinger Family. Part 1
She basically admitted to doing “unschooling” so that explains a lot. It’s too bad because her children are naturally very bright. But they don’t seem to engage them or challenge them past like 5 years old.

Re: Ballinger Family. Part 1
at leats thisgatherednest did a video about how to do school at home, I was just angered by this "school is closed " thing, hell it should be easier for those family to deal with this...
Re: Ballinger Family. Part 1
Out of a lot of YouTube families, I quite like the Ballinger a load! I found them from Chris’ sister, Colleen, when I saw her as Miranda Sings.
Some opinions on some things.
1. I think that Jessica and Chris should take their kids to socialize with other kids their ages, especially Bailey and Jacob. And especially girls for Bailey since the only girls I’ve seen her interact with are Colleen, Rachel, and Jessica. It would be super cool! And maybe they do do that but don’t show it on camera. You never know.
2. I’m extremely glad they don’t care about “Gendered toys” or gendered whatever! But I don’t agree with Jessica putting a bunch of pictures of Parker dressed in “Girls” stuff 24/7. A couple cute pictures of Parker will do!
3. Luke is so adorable! I bet he’ll have a great life considering his condition! I remember being excited months ago when Luke was born! Same with Duncan! I also remember on Colleen’s channel, I was happy Parker was coming! They have such cute babies!
4. I’m homeschooled myself so seeing other YouTubers who homeschool their kids is amazing! I think they got a little bit confused on the whole “Homeschooling while quarantining”, though. Homeschool is already at home, so it should be the same.
5. I am in love with Bailey’s voice when she sung “Tomorrow” from Annie! I know most others don’t like it but I love it!
6. I think with a little bit of time, these kids are gonna be successful and wonderful. I have high hopes they will be great in the future!
Overall, the Ballingers are amazing!

Re: Ballinger Family. Part 1
Are they even homeschooling anymore? I’ve never seen these kids do anything except tagging along with their parents on their errands.... We hardly see anything educational with this family. I understand we don’t see every second of every day but I would be interested in a video about how she homeschools typically.

Re: Ballinger Family. Part 1
Pretty sure the 'homeschool while quarantined' is aimed at people who suddenly need to homeschool because of the various quarantine measures... not suggesting that a regular homeschool family's routine is now different due to quarantining.

Re: Ballinger Family. Part 1
I’m late to this thread but what about their car seat use irks you? I thought it was ridiculous that they had Duncan in his infant seat until almost two. Then they bought him a new seat just to turn him around a couple months later.freeingjulia wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2020 1:22 pm ok so for the MOST part I like this family. but this house tour video.. first in instagram she went on about how she was vulnerable and to be nice. I'm sorry but don't be on the internet if you want everyone to be nice. Secondly, in the actual video the first chunk was just her repeating that her house has flaws and don't judge her, don't say anything mean, blah blah blah. Again, get off the internet then.. you're in the wrong place for everyone to sugar coat and be nice to you.
Lastly, this was just a "look at how much money we have" video, money was talked about WAY too much in this video.
I haven't judged them much (except for their carseat use. but I'm not getting started there) but i'm judging this video hard because she set herself up for it so much.

I don't watch them very often anymore but those kids...they are getting seriously weird. They need to socialize with other kids REALLY bad.

Re: Ballinger Family. Part 1
I am not a regular viewer, so I am hoping that someone can explain that horrendous hair cutting video to me. Is Bailey the hated child or something? Is the Mom a drunk? I just can't understand what would prompt a parent to intentionally hack their tween daughters hair and pretend like they have never held scissors before.
Even the Dad had the sense to be alarmed and assume the kid ruined her own hair. Bailey was like a neglected dog just grateful for the attention, acting like she wanted chunks of hair one inch in length.
Is it like a weird religious punishment for being vain or exploring her sexuality? Is Bailey's dying wish to make it onto Brad Mondo's react channel? Seriously, there has to be an explanation for such unprompted cruelty......

Re: Ballinger Family. Part 1
They also started a Tik Tok account, I think that theyre trying to stay relevant, and show what a "cool and funny" mom she is by cutting her hair like that. The TT vids are a little cringy, especially when the parents do em. I personally am getting irritated with Jessica's Fran Dresher voice as well.....

Bailey's hair looked pretty bad. I couldn't believe that Jessica wasn't even trying to use any technique, she was just hacking away at the hair like a 5-year-old would do to a Barbie doll!

Re: Ballinger Family. Part 1
I think the hair cutting was all for views. And they've been on TikTok for a while, they just were not using it as much before the whole Covid thing started. They were using musica.ly (or however it was spelled) when that was up, so this isn't new to them.

Re: Ballinger Family. Part 1
I totally got the impression that they are fishing for a kitchen remodel, the counters looked awful with that white contact paper stuff.
