Does anyone think Jared pushing to have hip surgery is a means for him to say no to a baby right now.

Sadly I think it’s just a way for Jared to compete with Ellie for attention and sympathy. He’s probably sick of hearing about her eye pain, while he lives with chronic pain.

I think she’ll get as many babies as she wants. They have every reason not to TTC right now and still have been. I’m guessing Jared is willing to do anything to make her happy these days. To me that’s a bad sign of just how miserable and exhausting she must be behind the scenes. “Do whatever you’re want and just shut up” is probably something he thinks a lot but would never dare say!

That is crazy. Chicken breasts are huge these days, but 2 chicken breasts for 2 adults and 3 growing children, with leftovers? Sometimes I can't finish a breast, but my daughter usually can, and there's only 2 of us, so I usually make 2 breasts.
What is it with this family and restricting food? Bonnie feeds her kids poorly and Ruby makes these tiny casseroles for her big family.

Ellie really looks terrible. It is scary. Her lips and gums have no color. She seems to have a slight tremor too.

Maybe that is the way they were taught to eat and feed their family? Grandma-starve a kid and preserve their toys, possibly started their unhealthy issues with food. Have a tiny meal, then eat junk food to fill you up. I notice that while they watch tv they snack on pure sugary junk, no wonder her eyes hurt.

At the end, they say the kids are in bed with full tummies-not sure Jackson agrees! He gave the meal thumbs down because he wanted more chicken, and Ellie tells him well that's dinner. I can't believe 2 chicken breasts are supposed to feed the whole family!

Watching Ellie’s stories this morning and then Jared’s, I definitely get a vibe that something is off between E&J. There is zero interaction, and Jared seems stressed. Could just be coincidence, but thought I’d mention it to see if anyone else had the same impression.

Also, I can’t believe Calvin is 5!

My lab mix got a rabbit once (I never even gave her a chance again after that.) I would be really surprised if they were able to successfully keep two dogs and two bunnies at the same time. Especially since they don’t seem to pay a ton of attention to their animals (although ellie seems to give more attn to copper than she ever gave penny.)

My lab mix got a rabbit once (I never even gave her a chance again after that.) I would be really surprised if they were able to successfully keep two dogs and two bunnies at the same time. Especially since they don’t seem to pay a ton of attention to their animals (although ellie seems to give more attn to copper than she ever gave penny.)

Ellie posted instastories of Penny chasing her "friend" (one of the bunnies) around. They would let them loose in the yard together. Penny was a big dog, and bred as a hunter. I wouldn't be surprised if Penny killed the bunnies, even if it was an accident. Smart people just don't let dogs and rabbits loose in the same space, especially if they want the rabbits to live.

While I definitely agree that two chicken breasts are not enough to feed a family of 5, I don’t think Jackson gave a thumbs down because he wanted more and Ellie wouldn’t give him.
I watched the video, and it’s not very clear but it does sound like he said that he doesn’t like the chicken as he gave the thumbs down and Ellie said, “that’s what’s for dinner.”

While I definitely agree that two chicken breasts are not enough to feed a family of 5, I don’t think Jackson gave a thumbs down because he wanted more and Ellie wouldn’t give him.

That’s what I thought I heard too. I could not believe she was expecting left overs from one package of chicken. Weird food issues here, and now combination lock on pantry, poor kids will really starve now.

I haven't watched their vlogs in awhile so I dont know much about the bunnies but i couldn't think of worse rabbit owners (well except for Bonnie). I have a rabbit and they need a lot of attention and care, calmness and gentleness. What were they thinking?? That theyll make cute instagram pics? That's why so many bunnies are abandoned after Easter

The fact that Bonnie knows she doesn’t want to care for a rabbit and hasn’t gotten one, already makes her a better rabbit owner. Ellie wanted them because she wanted them. Jared even said no to the second one and she did it anyway. She is a rebellious child.

I’m sure the rabbits are just neglected and ignored though. I doubt they have died. That’s unbelievably awful if they have!
