I've always wondered if maybe the breakup had something to do with their parents. Ruby and Brevin's mom almost seemed like they were more invested in the relationship than Shari and Brevin were lol. Teen relationships can be dramatic enough as it is, I can't imagine going through that while your psycho vlogger parents post every detail on the internet

Shari do an explanation video I think, where she implied that Brevin wanted to be really serious and practically get married straight away, and she wanted to still be young and casual and date around. I think if he thought of her as the love of his life and she didn't feel the same, it might have been difficult to stay friends after.

Ruby wants Shari to get married young and have kids pretty much ASAP but in the video around the time Shari turned 16 Ruby said that she needs to date other people and to date around and that Brevin needs to be okay with that.

My question is what happened to the guy that was around in Jan-Feb.

I remember for Christmas she said that he gave her a whale necklace that was just like his and that they were both going to wear them all the time, so sounds like they were more than just friends. Maybe I'm wrong, but I felt like that was around the time he disappeared, unless he showed up or was mentioned in the vlogs after that. In the video explanation she gave about her and Brevin it seemed liked she had a very strange idea of dating. She was acting like it's normal for Mormons to date multiple people at the same time. Like, at 16 it's just expected for a girl to go on lots of dates with lots of different guys, rather than being serious with one, and when her and Brevin were still together she said that she went hiking with another guy. It just seems weird, because it seemed like they both really liked each other, but she was just second guessing herself and wanted the excitement of going on dates with new people, so they broke things off. In the vlog she even mentioned that it was hard because they used to talk all the time and they stopped after that and she talked about him like he was someone she really liked. Based off of this, I'd say the same thing probably happened with Hunter, where she did really like him but thought she should keep herself open to go on lots of dates and have fun. I guess if that's really what makes her happy, then it's ok, but I always got the feeling with Brevin that she just thought it was what she had to do because it's normal for Mormon teens to do that.

But because it is expected that she "date around" to find her perfect match as soon as possible so that she can get married, she's probably gonna be dating a couple more guys because of the pressure coming from her parents to do so.

I’m thinking maybe he got into a fight, maybe he was caught dating like without permission, having sex, smoking weed or probably even masturbation. Or maybe he suggested god doesn’t exist or that Mormons are wrong and probably Buddhism is the true religion. Lol.

Why would you send your child away? I think maybe only if he is a danger to himself or to his siblings. Not for punishment.

Anyway I think it kind of backfired. Chad realized he can do quite well on his own and he just has to hang in there for a couple more years

The worst part is that they made big bucks off the Chad comes home videos. They even loaned him out to Bonnie for a vlog! They still use him for thumbnails because he brings in the most views. Ruby once said that it was like "pulling your child out of traffic when you see that they're in danger", which doesn't make sense. I had to grab my son once because he was about to step off the curb in front of a bus. That was a reflex action. Sending your child away isn't a reflex, or shouldn't be. It requires thought and discussion, and in their case, likely prayer and talking to church leaders.
My guess? Internet porn. They're not supposed to go on Google unsupervised. There's nothing unusual about a teenage boy looking for porn. You don't want them to do it without discussing it with them, (victimization of women in the industry, the difference between that and sex between a loving couple, etc) and it's not something I would _encourage_, but I can see Ruby completely wigging out.
And then, when he gets done, they make thousands of dollars doing reunion videos, loan him out to an aunt, _tell_ him he can go to public school if he wants, but buy a uniform for him, and only cave on the school because of pressure from viewers. Then they go on vacation, and she posts from a luxury yacht in the BVI (that Chad paid for) that he's going to be a "great man of the house" while they were gone because of the skills he picked up at Anasazi. But she won't buy him things he needs for public school.
For him to not be able to drive because of legal issues, it would have had to have been something car-related like DUI or joyriding. I think it's just Ruby exerting more control over him. Can't give the problem child freedom. Maybe if he had agreed to the private school, she would let him get his license, because then he could help drive the other kids to school. What is Ruby going to do when Shari graduates? Is she going to start letting Chad drive, or is she going to actually haul her ass out of bed in the morning and take the kids to school?

And THEN she made him pay for the new clothes by himself (which he urgently needed, since he attends public school so isn't wearing a uniform), while she made thousands of dollars off of the oh so heart touching reunion.

Then when people call her out on how differently she treated Julie and Chad her and her minions and Stans come of the woodwork talking about how they're all treated the same and how she loves them all equally . Even though Chad has to basically raise himself, and everything Chad does, every movement Chad makes he's punished for. What was even the point of going to Anasazi in the first place? the intention is to reset the family and the child, but as many of us predicted, nothing changed it got worse for him. For god sakes, he had to use a plastic bag for a book bag for the first few weeks of school!! meanwhile R&K can spend thousands on a private yacht in the BVI but won't buy THEIR OWN BIOLOGICAL CHILD necessities like book bags, clothes, haircut, or something fun like hair dye.

BTW: she can spend on thousands on a back to school shopping spree (with 100$+) book bags for the older kids and can pay for shari's "prom" which was her idea and which was for one person, but can't pay for a pool table for the whole family. Ruby is ass backwards

Unfortunately, they do not seem to take stuff serious. She's probably told Ruby already and no bother with going to doctor out of her. Bonnie has been told by valid people how bad it is to but eyelash glue on eye line, but she continues to do it herself, AND encourages others to try her method. So, they really don't care. No such thing as prevention, only the philosophy of if something happens, it was meant to be.

Shari's actually only in grade 11, and heading to grade 12 this year. She's not even gonna be going to college next year. I also used to think she was a senior considering how much she talks about college, but she's just a stressed out junior who still doesn't have to fully make that decision yet. I feel like she's so excited about going to college now that by grade 12 (senior year) she'll be burned out and so stressed from thinking about all this college stuff.

Why do they keep using #athome and #stayhome in their video titles? They aren't doing that at all and never were. It's like Ruby's trying to jump onto the 'trendiness' of those terms without actually following them at all and simultaneously speaking out about how no one can tell her to stay at home.

I'm just waiting for the video where Ruby makes all the kids (or maybe just Chad) pay for the paint to repaint the basement wall after she's encouraged them to put their hands and feet all over it.

It was Ruby who decided to get rid of his social media. They deleted it while he was at Anasazi and told him through letter what they did. I remember him saying that he was angry about it at first, but afterwards felt relieved. I never understood why they deleted it, when Ruby admitted that she was the one who pushed him to be active on social media and was always hounding him to post on it. Based on that, it must have been something related to social media that got him sent away, for Ruby to actually try to take him out of the spotlight on it. I watched a Youtube video once about a lady who went undercover and created a fake Instagram account of an 11 year old girl and within hours her inbox got filled with explicit messages from adults. Makes me shudder to think what kinds of stuff kids who are actually big on social media get sent. I'm guessing Chad probably had inappropriate messages from young girls and adults on his Instagram and had maybe started to respond to some.

I've just watched their exercise with us video, and it very much shows the problems they have in their videos. Shari is definitely trying and does have a bit of knowledge, but she fills in the gaps by trying to be confident and as a result makes mistakes. For example, she talks about one stretch not really stretching anything when it does. As she has the sort of knowledge you get from BEING trained rather than knowing how to train, she misses out big bits of explanations (why to stretch, when to stretch, what feelings should make you stop, how long to hold stretches for etc).
Ruby has almost no knowledge, so I can only assume she's been to one or two classes at most (or just hasn't paid attention). She's desperate to seem like she's teaching, but she really doesn't know what she's talking about. It's like a little kid coming back from a first ballet lesson and wanting to 'teach' their parents how to do ballet. Cobra and Tree are fairly basic names not to know. It'll be the same with life coaching - she won't even know the basics, but will talk as though she does.

Sorry if this went on a bit, but it annoys me that there will be viewers who try to copy what they see in the video, and may injure themselves due to the lack of actual coaching skills.
