I think the Jerusalem trip was probably only Kevin and Ruby, they aren't gonna waste a trip like that on the kids, it's too good for them.
Glad to see Ruby's office is the room most decorated/furnished.

So, Ruby has all the time in the world to print out designs for her shed (aka the millionth unnecessary enormously expensive project that she's taken on since whining that they're poor and don't have enough money to buy uncrustables), but she can't print out a single bingo sheet so her daughter can actually participate in school. Poor Eve, even when she does manage to get herself up on time and logged into school since no one will help her with it, she can't even participate because her mother won't print out her homework for her. Meanwhile, Chad feels the need to search the internet to find a new cologne instead of being able to go to his dad to get help picking one out. I, mean, it was a funny story and I'm glad he looked at it with some humor, but a boy should be able to go to his father to get advice about these things. Seriously, where has Kevin been these last few vlogs? He's usually pretty absent, but I feel like especially lately he has become even more scarce in the vlogs, which is weird considering they're in quarantine and he should be around more not less.

Not (intentionally) defending Ruby but, Is she wrong though? Russell always acts this way when someone gets something he doesn't or the spotlight isn't on him. He had his chance for a bedroom remodel and he (presumably) let Ruby do what she wanted and didn't want input or didn't care. Compared to the other siblings, Russell has the best room in the house, while others are still sleeping on mattresses on the floor. He's jealous of 80$ LED lights, but his bedroom is bigger than his older brothers, complete with his own bathroom, which many adults paying rent/mortgage don't even have for houses they pay for. Don't you think that's kind of spoiled?
I see where your coming from. If this was Russel's first time complaining like this, I would also understand why he's a bit upset, but he literally always does this. Even on the other kids birthdays when they get gifts (as they should) Russell whines and acts like a spoiled snob because he didn't get a gift. Honestly, I've never seen a kid react like that to some other kid get a gift on their own birthday. Obviously he's still a kid, so in my opinion it's mostly Ruby's bad parenting if she didn't see this coming sooner from Russell and didn't handle it quicker. But still, Ruby needs to start reminding Russell how privileged and lucky he is that he was one of the first kids who got his room renovated. I doubt the other kids got anything extra or even the bare minimum added to their rooms, unless they pay for it themselves. I also bet Ruby is just making the older kids (Shari, Chad, Julie, and Abby) pay for their own room renovations since Ruby could honestly not be bothered about them, maybe this is why she's not been planning on doing a full house/rooms tour because then everyone would see the lack of furnishment in the kids room compared to her own room.
Russell does tend to be a bit over the top (many kids get a bit dramatic at that age) but I think it is generally unfair for him. As Ruby is so controlling, he probably didn't even think that having his own say was an option. Then he sees Chad's lights and realises that it might have been, and then looks at his middle aged guest bedroom of a room and feels cheated. As others have pointed out, they don't even seem to have many toys, so every little thing is bound to be tempting.
As a kid I was always a part of the decision making process in decorating my room, even as young as four years old. Obviously my parents had a final say, but it was MY room and a safe space. It's so sad that they don't have anywhere they can feel like that.
Don't get me wrong, I get it, I'm still mad to this day that my room is mint green and my mom decided to put carpet in my room, which neither I wanted. However, this incident aside, and looking at Russell in a general sense, he literally gets presents on other people's birthdays so he won't go off the deep end. this boy (and matter of fact), this family, is spoiled rotten and don't know how lucky they have it. The boy is 8 years old, acts like his 6 year old sister (but the kicker? Eve acts more mature than him). But again, he's not 2, its not like he can't tell ruby that "I want a giant stuffed animal in my room" or "special lights" etc. ultimately its Ruby's final decision, but at least he said something in the process ya know? Like he can't be mad at chad because he has lights or shari because she has that filming wall because they spoke up. I guess im just getting tired of Russell being extra and that over the top cackling hyena laugh he has

I’ve also never seen a family change schools so damn much. From public to homeschool to private etc. I’m not sure why Shari would even want to change schools her senior year. I also would find it very very unlikely for a school district to accept students from another district.

Ruby loved it because its a private school (sounds fancy) with plenty extra things going on, uniforms,.. Now money seems to be more important than that. Im sure shes gonna talk about why public school is alright after all (of course not really blaming it on the tuition cost though).
There are definitely loopholes so it might be possible. I would feel bad for the kids though, especially Abby (remember how she was the only one going back to public school and then got pulled out on her first day because she did get accepted). They had to switch schools for selfish reasons.

I remember Bonnie and Ellie sending her a package with all the Bollie clothes. I'm sure it was so she would wear them on her YouTube channel to promote them. Obviously it worked.

I really shouldn't have to say this again, but Russel is 8 right? When I was 8, my mom always told me to go take a bath, not saying 8 years olds can't be responsible for their own cleanliness, but most 8 year olds have their mothers remind them every day that they should take a bath. Anyway this has already been mentioned before, I don't expect Ruby to care for her younger kids, because when has she ever unless she could make money off of it. Ruby's a bitch as usual etc etc.

Ruby says she's "pretty sure she brushed her teeth"?? EW WTF? How do you forget whether you brushed your teeth or not??! Why does she think her kids smell all the time? The probably future that it's okay to be stinky and dirty if they see their own mother not take care of herself. She's disgusting. And she thinks she's such a fantastic mother just because her kids spent a couple hours outside in the dirt. Like god Ruby, how do you not realize how lazy and stupid you are?

And even though he 'smells so bad' and he has to take a shower, Ruby continues filming him and insulting her 8 year old though the camera? Like wow, mother of the year definetely goes to Ruby.

I'm so glad I don't live in that house, sure it looks clean but could you imagine the stench that each of them emits from not showering every day? I bet the only reason Ellie and Jared weren't disgusted by it (during the prom) is probably because they also have the same cleanliness as Ruby's family does. All the Frankes are gross.

Ruby pretending to get input from Julie, Eve and Russell about what sort of shed could go in the backyard is hilarious. She tries to pretend as if she's giving the kids some choice into what should be put in the FAMILY backyard but we all know Ruby will probably go against all their advice and ultimately choose something that only she finds nice. Pretty sure she just had them do it for the video and the "montage" she got to film.

Also, why doesn't Shari recycle all of that paper instead of throwing it in the trash can?? Does Utah not have recycling bins??? I'm honestly so sick of how much stuff accumulates in that family that doesn't even need to go to waste.

Also, considering Chad ate all the pork meant for the entire family and didn't get sick, and also still felt hungry afterwards, their probably wasn't enough to feed the family of 8 anyway. Ruby needs to get off her ass pretending to work and cook some decent sized portions for her kids.

Here lately it seems she's a pro at making waffles or french toast since she's "invented" sourdough start. At least that's a hearty breakfast but soon enough they'll be back to having hot oatmeal only.

What is it with her always having to tell YT how bad the kids smell. Ruby, if you read here, you think you are throwing them under the bus, but you really are showing how bad you are as a mom. Their hygiene is a reflection of you, just as your house is. You keep your house clean (or so it seems you have the kids dusting the floor boards, and wiping the sinks and toilets daily) because you've been taught to keep it clean. Most parents still remind/encourage their young children (even teens) to bath and brush their teeth, and take measures to ensure it is done. You've removed the doors from Chad's personal space for whatever reason to ensure he does or doesn't do something. How about putting some things in place to ensure Eve and Russell are practicing good hygiene (hey, taking 5-10 minutes out of your daily life 1-2 times a day works too, but I know that's a lot to ask a mom of your stature to do). Good hygiene is not only a benefit to maintaining good health (ahmm, over 5 cavities at once in a 5 year old is not normal) but it also benefits those around them for not having to be subjected to the stench. I think of classmates at school when I was young who were smelly, dirty, disheveled, and wore the same clothes many days in a row. I used to think what a dirty kid that was and as an adult, I see the truth now, that they were clearly being neglected at home (heartbreaking to say the least) and it was the parents that due to their issues just didn't care or provide proper supervision. If you are really starting to watch the cash flow in your house, good hygiene is also a preventive measure for higher dental and doctor bills, however we all know you will just make the kids pay for their own visits.

I can see why these kids have to constantly change/get kicked out of schools. These poor kids probably get bullied and then develop attitudes. Working in a public school one of of my students has a YouTube presence, they are a regular participant in a channel that has large group of kids interview different types of people. This channel has a smaller reach, but still popular, and the student is not featured 100% of the time. But all the kids in the school know about it and watch the videos. Imagine the fodder for bullying that other students get from these videos. These kids are going to go back to school and told "you stink." A billion times. Also, everybody is gonna know Chad's business and the drama he has had with his family. If I decided to become "YouTube famous" and I had a family you better believe I am watching that video 1000 times to make sure that I am presenting my best self forward as a parent and making sure that myself or others in the video never pits forth any thing that can be used against my family. Ruby does not care how this channel effect anyone, as long as people continue to subscribe and praise her for her "realness."

Is Shari also not allowed to Google stuff? I accidentally watched her 'types of exercise' video and seriously, if she plans to use that channel as her career she needs to verify at least something before she says it... Her '4 main types' are basically not even covering options under strength training, let alone talk about actual other types of stuff...

I wouldn't mind her not knowing stuff, but anyone who knows anything will just make fun of her and if it's her chosen career path, this is just bad...

She should wait before she knows something (such as no we don't have more spines, just one per person, lol) before filming these or at least make some research, otherwise it's counterproductive to what she thinks she will get out of her YouTube channel... If Google is not allowed then go get a book or two, don't just set yourself up for failure...

Taking our kids bedroom away because they ''disobeyed us''

Unread post by Alisi123 »

In the newest vlog Ruby opened up about things they didn't talk about to the camera and that happened behind the scenes. She talked about taking away electronics from Eve and Russell for the Summer because they weren't responsible which is fair. She talked about the kids having their phones removed from them which irked me a little bit, what would she do in a situation where one of her kids who didn't have a phone had a problem and wasn't with someone else who has a phone? Another thing I noticed was that she said that ''Having a bedroom in our household is a privilege''' I don't understand why she made Chad sleep on the couch in their basement while Russell still gets to sleep in his bedroom even though Russell played on his Ipad when he was repeatedly told not to. It's a completely different set of rules which is unfair in my opinion. It's like she sees and treats Chad like an outsider in comparison to her other kids, like Shari, who never gets in trouble on camera even though she does say some quite harsh things to her siblings because she thinks she the ''Mini Mom'''. Something tells me that based on today's video that some of the kids didn't want to share what was going on behind the scenes on the internet. Like Abby seemed like she'd rather of kept what was going on private, but no, she shoved a camera in her face. Just like Russell, maybe he did want to talk to her about what happened but how can you do that when your Mom is constantly putting conversations that should be private on the internet for everybody to see and judge you for?

Chad thought Ruby had said no TV all summer and she said he's making up stories. I seem to remember her saying that too, no? I swear we discussed it on here when they moved into the new house that she said no TV. Ruby's entire parenting style is abusing her authority by restricting her kids as much as she possibly can with no reason given, and keeping things from them because (as she admits) she is too lazy to put any effort into supervising them. She has NO interest at all in being a mother.

'CHAD WAS SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR IN THE FAMILY ROOM'. For 7 MONTHS. I have no words. This is the kind of stuff that's meant to come out in scary documentaries after the horrific events have transpired, but instead they are being admitted by the family themselves as they are happening. Holy shit.

I absolutely remember that. She tends to gaslight them regularly though, or suddenly coming up with penalties for things without warning. That woman needs parenting classes.

"It's the parents responsibility to manage electronics... I'm not willing to" ?! Erm put timers on them?! They clearly are aware of parental controls if they can block Google!
Ruby just makes up stuff for videos. As if they have a thought out rule book and consequences...which they don't. The kids think they aren't able to play with friends (Russell for sure) but the Ruby says he isn't allowed electronics but doesn't respond to the bit about no friends?
Even Dr Phil says kids need a bed and a blanket and clothes...
Chad saying he doesn't feel safe or accepted in any friend group but he can't even have a basic flip phone so he can call/text a parent?!

Now I can’t remember what all I wanted to say

1. Where did Ruby and Kevin go???
2. Was that Eves first lost tooth?? I can’t remember
3. Why did Abby get her phone taken away?? I thought Ruby said she was the perfect child??
4. Well this answers my question Julie won’t get a phone for her birthday this year.
5. Ruby you mentioned NO TV when you moved into the new house.

A bedroom is not a privilege. A bed is not a privilege. Having somewhere to go and feel safe is not a privilege. Ruby has disgusted me many times but this one truly takes the cake. The necessities that a child deserves are not privileges that can be taken away. I don’t care what Chad did, I don’t care how much he bullied his siblings, you don’t take a bedroom and bed away from a child and make them sleep on the floor. That is ludicrous. Ruby isn’t teaching these kids to be responsible, she’s teaching them to follow her authority without question and that is absolutely disgusting and horrible. That is not what a mother who truly loves her kids does.

Ruby does not want to do any parenting. Why did she have SIX kids then?? You know that having kids is an option right, Ruby? You could have stopped at two. Or you could have gotten a cat. A lot lower maintenance. But then you would decide it's not your responsibility to change it's litter or feed it. Too much work. Those poor kids. Bet they can't wait to fly the coop and never come back. I just hope they haven't been too brainwashed and realize this isn't normal parental behavior. And I hope they never come back to visit because Ruby and Kevin don't deserve to reap the rewards of parenting when they've completely checked out.
