Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
When will Ruby realize that it is her parenting methods that are creating her kids to be they way they are. She thinks she has "control" over them, but it is clear she does not. They do not respect her, the way they behave when she is trying to discuss things with them and they giggle and laugh and talk over her, etc. (I don't blame them though, being an adult, I could not sit with her through her ridiculous talks). She gives no respect only orders and rules. She gives no room for mistakes, no room to be rewarded, it's all or nothing. She creates asinine rules and the kids cannot ever live up to them so she thinks being even more tougher on them is the way to go. When you take everything away from them, there is nothing to work for. Give your kids some freedom and maybe the behaviors that you are so frustrated with will be corrected. You attract more flies with honey than with vinegar. Just like Bonnie's stupid 14 days to break a habit theory, giving your kids a timeline that seems like forever to them gets you no where. It really gives them nothing to work for because that is a lifetime to them and doesn't seem achievable. How about go the week and on the weekend you are rewarded if..... I look at how long a week seemed as a child or month, and now as an adult, the week is gone as fast as a day and months are the same. Time to a child is very long.
Abby's response is what Ruby is going to be getting from all of her kids eventually, "I don't really care." They know no matter what they do, whether it is good or not, reason will be found to take stuff away from them because Ruby just does not want to bother with parenting. Ruby is too lazy to parent individually, so she has to parent her kids as a whole. What happens to one, happens to all. Except for Shari, who is perfect. Having a child tell you "I don't really care," shows you it's not working. Instead of reading the books to help others, Ruby seriously needs to go to counseling for parenting because she is really a failure at it. A therapist will tell her right off the way she is taking everything away is a problem, positive reinforcement is more effective than negative and that is all the kids get.....negativity. Ruby really looks conquered on today's vlog, but I don't feel one bit sorry for her. She would rather go on thinking she is the world's best mother and has all the answers because fans who only see a few minutes of her life a day think she is wonderful, than to realize she really struggles as a mom and needs to seek help so she can guide her kids to being a good person.

Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
This blog was one of the weirdest I’ve seen, anywhere.
Good for Ruby that she finally seems to have found a direction with the life coach thing. But using her own kids as guinea pigs?? They are CHILDREN. These are years none of them, including Ruby, is ever going to get back.
It almost broke my heart to hear Abbie, Chad and Russell say they have no friends to hang out with during the Summer. And the way they all parroted the psycho-babble phrases presumably from the life coach training that Ruby uses to ‘control‘ them - she sits there smiling smugly thinking she’s mother of the year, not realising that the kids are totally not on the same page as her. And the terminology she used with Russell - he’s EIGHT!! Can you imagine Bonnie talking to Cody like that?!
Those kids don’t need a life coach. They need a mother, preferably one who is in touch with the fact that it’s 2020. I’m sure it stems from Ruby being the oldest child. Jennifer has a lot to answer for.

I just keep thinking more and more about this vlog. Of course I had my phone taken away all the time as a teenager. But my parents never took it away when it could jeopardize my safety. After that vlog I just keep thinking about Abby and Julie taking the train without a cell phone. Of course they’ve done it before but you never know what could happen. And forcing two young girls and their sister to rely on a stranger’s kindness if anything were to happen is pretty risky in this day and age. I remember having my phone taken away and going away with my cross country team and my parents gave it back for the trip because they wanted to be able to contact me and know I’m safe and not depend on me using someone else’s phone. I had to give it back afterwards and my punishment continued but me learning my lesson was never more important than safety and security.

Right. Also, I don't think Russell was evading her because of shame, it was because of the camera. He has more sense than his mother to know there are times that should not be vlogged, and this is one of them, he wanted to be private about it.AuntieAgape wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 8:43 am This blog was one of the weirdest I’ve seen, anywhere.

Ok. I realized I had not watched the entire vlog, I stopped to post first comment. I thought Abby said, "I don't care," in response to her phone being taken away. She said, "probably not," to Ruby saying she will probably not get it back. That being said, the kids don't care because she sets such unachievable goals.
Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
I felt really bad hearing the kids admit they don't have friends. Especially Chad. He doesn't have a phone, he didn't have a bedroom until 3 weeks ago, he can't drive or get his license. What is he allowed to even do all day? Stare at the wall?

I urge everyone to please report the latest video ("What We Haven't Told You") for Child Abuse. Ruby admitted to not giving her son a bed or a room (he has been sleeping on a bean bag since October) and he said h knew he had a room "set aside for him." This is abuse, and I am so upset for Chad and the other children who find this normal. Please report.
Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
She’s going to be one lonely grandma someday..those kids are never going to visit her and her house of horrors. The mental hoops she makes this kids jump through is evil. Did you all see Russell’s eyes at the very end of this vlog? He’s super over her shit. His fake smile drops and his eyes roll. Very telling.

This may be just me, but what Chad did wasn't even that bad? Like messed up and deserves grounding? sure. But to not have a room and have to sleep in the living room? Overreaction.

I feel like we're watching "Ruby and Kevin's guide to making sure your kids cut you off at 18." So they put those stupid Anasazi camp decorations in the boys' room for Chad but he never even got to sleep in there because of one slip-up?? They treat these kids like prisoners, especially Chad. They are far more "humble" than a lot of other kids out there, and shame on these parents for not recognizing that. I can't imagine the mental health challenges they might be facing right now. And they only have Ruby's shitty "life-coaching" to help them. Ugh

What Chad did was wrong. I don't agree that what he does is normal older brother behavior, as previously mentioned here. He clearly has issues with bullying others, including his siblings. But you're right, the punishment does not fit the crime. SEVEn MOnTHS of sleeping on the floor is absurd. How the hell does Ruby think having a bed is a privilege? What's next-- withholding food? not allowing them to go to school?Denlillehavfrue wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 9:47 am This may be just me, but what Chad did wasn't even that bad? That Chad came back from brat camp and the SAME DAY was already mistreating his siblings speaks volumes. He needs real help addressing his issues-- not brat camp and not the pseudo-psychology his mother is spewing at him. It seems like the punishments just keep getting bigger and bigger, with no improvements. What they're doing is clearly not working.
Ruby needs to stop coming up with arbitrary rules when she sees fit. That multiple kids didn't know the 6 month punishment rule (which is absurd, btw) shows her lack of communication and consistency with parenting. You can't just expect people, particularly kids, to pick up on that kind of thing. Especially when the rules/expectations are constantly changing.

Quite a lot of dislikes on today's video! That gives me at least some hope that there are more out there realizing Ruby's insanity, sometimes I feel totally shocked at how few people seem to see it.

Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
I have a theory, what if Chad got sent away because of all the things previously mentioned (internet porn etc.) but also because he didn't want to film anymore? I mean think about it Ruby herself said "her worse nightmare is the day her kids decide not to film anymore" (something about winning them against a wall). Then that would kinda explain why Chad doesn't have a door in his bedroom or bathroom, because anyone can walk in (meaning Ruby with a camera). Chad was seen more on 8 passengers channel than his own, so maybe he got tired of filming in a general sense and got difficult to manage so they gave up and sent him away. that's why he wasn't seen as a "bad kid" by any of us.
With the whole Myka & Jim Stauffer thing going around, if you can abandon your adopted child that YOU CHOSE to adopt no matter what the difficulty in managing his/her neurological issues and "rehome" said child. Not to mention profit off of way before they even see him for the first time and profit off of him after they abandoned him. That got me thinking, what could a family vlogger do with a child that is biologically theirs, that's getting difficult to manage? you can't send them to foster care because a similar situation with the Stauffer are going to happen to the Frankes. so what's the next best thing? send them to anasazi
idk this is just a wild theory.
TLDR: What if Chad got sent away because he got too difficult to manage and that stemmed from the fact that he didn't want to film anymore? you can't send your child to foster care when there is nothing wrong with them, so the next best option is to send them to anasazi.

Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
This vlog was really disturbing to watch. Chad has been sleeping on the floor for SEVEN MONTHS?!?! That is not discipline, that is cruel and unusual punishment. What he did was mean, but that constitutes maybe getting grounded for a week or he has to do Russell's chores for a week, but really, sleeping on the floor for seven months is abusive. This whole, 'I don't give anything back for at least six months' is completely ridiculous. Six months is a long, long time, at that point those kids are just going to say, "Oh, I'm just not getting it back, oh well, I can do whatever I want now." I get the not giving it back within a week or putting a timeline on it, but if they've been consistently being good for a couple weeks, give those poor kids back their stuff. Chad has had literally everything taken away from him and not given back, to the point that they have to take a bed away from him as punishment. What would have happened if he acted up after getting his room/bed taken away? Would they have taken his clothes away? His food? Given him a hundred lashes? Ruby is seriously treading some dangerous waters, if she's so keen on disciplining her kids but they already have everything taken away, what is she going to do next? I can't help but wonder what other stuff is going on behind the cameras. If there are kids being forced to sleep on the floor for punishment, then I can imagine there's probably a lot of other extreme punishment going on. This family seriously needs to be checked up on, because this vlog just revealed that Ruby is really sick in the head and thinks that taking away basic rights and the means for a child to be safe and secure is ok.
Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
I'm ALWAYS behind on reading comments here so forgive me if anyone's mentioned this already but you guys need to take a look at Ruby's insta. People are finally now taking a stand against Ruby's pathetic parenting and its ridiculous, especially in regards to what she's said/revealwd in today's video people have had a ton to say about how awful of a mother she is. I recommend you all check out the comments now before Ruby has a chance to block everyone who spoke their mind. We all know how she can't take any critisicm towards her parenting.
Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
Also wanted to urge all of you watching Ruby on YouTube to maybe watch her on some platform that won't give her a single cent. Especially since we all know she does NOT use this YouTube money for her kids. Please watch her on invidious.com and or use some sort of adblocker if you are gonna be watching on YouTube. You don't wanna monetize her being an idiot, you know what I mean?

LOL, as I was reading them, she deleted all of today's comments on the photo of Ruby and Eve. The most current one of Julie and Abby was already scrubbed. SMH. Seems like a never has been struck. I hope she's up for an all nighter so she can continue deleting Instagram comments.
How do you report a vlog?

lmao I’ve been commenting on her recent posts and she just deletes and disables everything. She’s a coward. I’ll let you all know if I get blocked a second time.
Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
Have no idea. If anyone knows how to report Ruby's videos please comment down below. Honestly hope that this is the true end of her YouTube career of exploiting her kids. But that'd be too good to be true.Happy+Charlie wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 11:23 am LOL, as I was reading them, she deleted all of today's comments on the photo of Ruby and Eve. She is deleting comments fast!! I read them and refresh and they are gone! She also shut off the comments on her most recent pic.. she really needs to ease up on these poor kids, I feel so bad for them!
