Same thing happened to me. Wish I had the guts to just post my own comments on there lol. Guess someone else can do it for me.Happy+Charlie wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 12:10 pm I just found on an Instagram post of Ruby's that some user has put one of my comments from on here word for word for their own, lol. I’m glad to see a parent take electronics away. Kids don’t need phones. That is definitely a privilege if you personally wish for your kid to have one.
But what she did to Chad is completely uncalled for. No wonder he supposedly has issues. He was too old to share a room with Russel anyway. He needs his space. To purposely give him a smaller room with less amenities then his child brother and make him sleep on a bean bag chair is cruel. And now he’s talking about having no friends. It’s good to keep away from bad influences but to have no friends at his age is unhealthy.
In many ways I do like Ruby but more and more her own issues are becoming more apparent. She tried to be so philosophical in her parenting but she needs help, she is clearly insecure and placing her insecurities into her children. She went from being cruel to Julie to now Chad. I can’t wait for these kids to become adults and speak their truth.

I feel horrible for Chad (and the rest of the kids).
It's like they live in prison.
What he did was wrong and deserved punishment, but not this. A bed is not a privilege.
I had a friend in high school whose mother didn't buy her clothes unless she was thin enough. The girl wasn't fat by any means. I found out later that was not the only abuse her mother put her under, she was beaten daily. The poor girl is a broken adult now. She almost died of an eating disorder and now has swayed the other way and turned obese. I feel so sorry for her, because she is truly the result of years of abuse and neglect.
I can't with Ruby, she is DISGUSTING. Those kids are suffering.

Someone seriously needs to expose Ruby about this. How could we post this so that her viewers would see it on insta?

YES! Everything you said. She is fueled by negativity. I think she sees how poorly parented most kids are nowadays. I see it in my personal life, kids getting everything they want with very little to no supervision. Kids are basically ruling the roost. I think she knows that most people are like that now and it’s a lot of them commenting negatively so she gets a high off it. Little does she know you can still be a good parent, still rule your own home and still discipline your child without being downright cruel like she can be.imoverit wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 1:49 pm I am scared for what she is going to come up with tomorrow. It’s going to be more of the self-righteous bullshit you can see in her eyes in the Instagram stories. She loves to throw around that claim that she knows she’s doing something right when she gets such a strong reaction out of people, even when it’s overwhelmingly bad. It makes her feel above all the negative comments when she says that because she thinks the more negativity people give her the more they’re fueling the positive image she has of herself.
It’s not “haters” giving her negativity here — this family thinks anyone who disagrees with their horrible parenting are just haters because they have the few supportive DMs to back them up. I feel sickened by this.
I’m still bothered by her jealousy toward Julie. She was good at gymnastics even though she said right in front of Julie that she was no good at it. I wish she had stayed in it. Now will all of this Chad stuff not allowing him a room. Okay take the door off, that was popular when I was a kid but for him to not have a room. Did they seriously think their poor patently didn’t have to change after he got back from that camp?
Ready for a pompous self righteous vlog tomorrow. I think it’s so sad that Shari is growing up to have all of Ruby’s negative traits.
Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
Wonder if these kids will grow up resenting one another solely for the reason that they all seem to get in trouble for the things they do seperately (except for perfect Shari of course). Ruby punishes ALL of them instead of just that one kid who messed up (and gives the kid who messed up an extremely unjustified punishment). I hope the siblings get through this together, but I honestly wouldn't blame them for beginning to fight with each other if one of them does something stupid and Ruby decides to punish all of them rather then just the one who deserves to be punished (and she refuses to offer to give them a reasonable punishment which is so unfair) And by the way, where the heck is Kevin in all of this?? Haven't seen him in any of these vlogs only in very few insta posts?? Even though he should be at home during this time. I bet he's doing nothing to help these poor kids out. God, what awful parents these kids have.
Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
I was a bit worried about watching today's vlog after reading a few of the early comments here, and wow. Ruby is kind of insane with her parenting style/methods. Rather than go on writing an essay here, I'll just say many of the previous comments echo my own thoughts on this issue.
She said in IG story that she'll post tomorrow, not sure if on Youtube or IG, but something to address the backlash she got on today's vlog. Felt like she had kind of an arrogant attitude about it in her IG story, talking about people being 'triggered' in a dismissive tone, so I'm not expecting much from whatever she posts tomorrow as far as reasonable justifications/excuses.
Also, the only thing I remember hearing about Abby getting her phone taken away is that Ruby essentially said Abby was kind of addicted to it and spent too much time on it texting friends and playing games. Given Abby's history of failing or almost failing classes and not doing all her homework, I can understand their concern with it being just another thing that's taking her focus away from school work.

Bonnie and Ruby must have learned a new word this week, they've both said about their vlogs triggering people.

Who is the woman who is teaching Ruby to be a life coach? These ideas Ruby's come up with seem to be coming from this woman, because this is not who Ruby was a year ago or two years ago or more. She still wasn't a great mother, but she wasn't nearly as emotionally abusive and manipulative as she is now.
I'd love to hear what that woman's background is and what makes her qualified to be a life coach trainer.
Also Ruby - saying "I hear you" means nothing when you're not actually listening to your kids. And getting down on their level doesn't help when you still have a camera in their face while you tell them they're selfish for having emotions.

Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
Well we got our justification from ruby and kevin! As usual, it’s everyone else’s fault and we’re triggered because there is something wrong with us not with their screwed up parenting. Of course no parent has ever raised a responsible adult without harsh and unusual punishment! My parents had incredibly high expectations for me and if I didn’t meet them that didn’t mean I had everything taken away and treated like a prisoner in my own home, and I think I turned out just fine. I graduated college, have a good job, and live on my own and understand just fine that my actions will have consequences. Love and compassion and empathy do not raise a coddled child but a well adjusted child who will gladly step up and take responsibility for their actions.
I just imagine one of the kids at their first job and making a mistake and imagining their going to be fired right on the spot, only to learn that the rest of the world does not expect perfection and usually owning up to your mistakes is often punishment enough. That the adult world does believe in forgiveness and one mistake doesn’t make you a failure subject to harsh punishment because you need to be “responsible”

Side note. Is there a count on how many people she's blocked? I just looked on Instagram and she blocked me. I knew it was coming and i don't care. I let it all out on her.
A child not having a bed for 7 months is child abuse. I'm sorry. It is. That is not right. He didn't even have a room? Was he sleeping out in a dog house? He doesn't have a phone. A door. He has to buy his own clothes, backpack. I'm really surprised she feeds him. I'm sure he gets a lecture nightly about how she allows him to eat and he better not feel entitled or whatever she babbles on about.
Whatever he did I don't care. That is not what a parent does.

Oh Ruby, this Instagram story is doing nothing for you. First off she says most of the people who are crying "abuse" are probably kids, I believe this page alone establishes that to be not true. Second, she is obviously trying to use what she is learning in her life coaching class; to counsel those that are calling her out. She is using all the key terms that you are told to use in psychology or when dealing with struggling people. Triggered, I hear you, I understand, I want to validate you. But the way she says them it's obvious she is just repeating a counseling script she has been given and she doesn't truly mean any of it. Oh and because Anastazi took away Chad's bed means it not abuse to take his bed away. Newsflash Ruby, anybody can get a psychology degree and it doesn't mean they are a good person. That would be like saying, "Oh my doctor sexually assaulted my children so that must mean it's okay for me to do it too." And the fact that she says that people have been claiming abuse for years as a statement to why they are obviously not abusive. Listen there are a lot of YouTubers I find annoying or weird and I don't agree with their views, but I would never claim that they abused their children.

The first thing that this woman thought of when she saw these comments come in was "let me screenshot these so I can use them for content" instead of "am I being a good parent to my children?"
Her first thought was content over her kids. That's all.

This vlog...wow! She doesn't need to write a parenting book, she needs parenting classes. Why would she ever think it was okay to have a child sleeping on a bean bag chair for 7 months?? Why is it not her responsibility to monitor how much time her small children are on their Ipads? Has she not heard of timers? She is such a sorry excuse of a mother and human being.

Willing to bet, they have not and are not dealing with behavior/mental health people outside the church and like I said earlier their little Mormon bubble is old fashioned and ways of raising kids years ago is not the same as now. A lot has been learned in doing what is right by children. For example, the life coach Ruby is being trained by sounds like a quack.
I love how they put emphasis on responsibility, but Ruby is the most absent minded mother I've ever known of, and seems to forget a lot of things that are detrimental to others and safety. She takes no responsibility for her kids at all even as young as Eve, unless it is a behavior issue on their part, then she'll be responsible for issuing punishment, but no responsibility in ensuring they've been fed, brushed teeth, bathed, done homework, etc.
I'd love for a renouned child psychologist to give their 2 cents.

Watching Ruby the controlling bitch’s newest IG story I seriously wanted to reach into the screen and slap both of their faces. Neither of them truly care about their kids. Kevin is SO detached from the kids and Ruby. I’m sure she had to force him to be in that IG story for some backup for her controlling behavior.
Correct me if I’m wrong but on their latest video about Chad explaining what he did to Russell was that the first night he got back from that brat camp? Did they ever think he was really pissed off that they sent him away for months to sleep in the frickin’ desert and when he came home he took out some of that anger on Russell? He didn’t physically hurt Russell. He played a harmless prank on him. They should’ve made him apologize to Russell and maybe make him do extra chores or something not take away his bedroom for 7 DAMN MONTHS!!!
They claim they got advice from professionals and the professionals told them to take away his room and bed for 7 months. What so called professionals would ever suggest that?? Ruby’s tyrant sadistic dad perhaps?
Of course she’s going to take away all of their electronics because if they had iPads and such they would need to be inside. This way with no electronics she can make them all go outside and she’s probably hoping they all get swept away by the river in their backyard.
Chad, Abby and Julie are all unhappy in that house. Shari is a freak. What normal 17 yr old doesn’t have any friends and is just obsessed with working out? Russell and Eve definitely have some issues.
When they get older they will all figure out that their mom is a controlling bitch and that their dad couldn’t give a crap about any of them and hopefully none of them will speak to their so called parents when they grow up.
I feel SO sorry for those kids.

Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
What worries me is obviously her kids aren’t safe in that home, not emotionally, but also the fact that so many parents actually tune in to watch and admire Ruby. They’ll take her advice and apply to their children. That’s what breaks my heart. And her giant house will never be filled with her children and grandchildren in the future. She’s going to be a lonely old lady who did this to herself. Her kids are going to figure all this out, and it’ll be a harsh reality for them. Chad is trying to survive and telling ruby what she wants to hear so he can at least have a roof over his head right now, you can see he doesn’t believe in her bs. We all know he’ll be sent away or she will have no shame in Chad becoming homeless if that’s where his normal teen behavior gets him. Ruby mentioned a while back when she started this stupid course how Eve is lashing out bc she doesn’t get enough attention.
Doesn’t she realise her other children might be behaving the way they do because they don’t get enough positive attention from their mother? It’s very clear she CONDITIONALLY loves them. She has no unconditional love for them. It’s so sad. It’s so hurtful as an adult to admit you don’t love your parents. I’ve been there, nearly same
Types of punishments, and being the only girl I got punished more than my 4 brothers. I hope these kids don’t end up hurting themselves down the line. They need to open their eyes. Leave the nest ASAP, don’t ever turn back.

I told her on Instagram that the reason her views were down wasn't because of the pandemic. That it was because she is a horrible mother and people are tired of watching it.
Over 1k dislikes should tell her something!! We're not a bunch of kids. I would never in a million years take away my children's bedroom from them. There's absolutely nothing they could do that I'd do that. I could go on and on about how horrible she is.
I can hardly wait for her video tomorrow telling us all how wrong we are and that she's doing the right thing. That woman is just as delusional as she is checked out.

If you look in their tagged photos there are a lot of people working to call CPS on them. Normally I don't approve of people calling CPS based off of social media opinons, but in this case i do. It will be interesting how this all shapes up over the next few days or weeks.
