As.previous posters mentioned that they say we're jealous or their methods must.be working because their kids are so well behaved. They are obviously not well behaved. First Chad gets set to the wilderness school because he is apparently so out of control Ruby can't handle him. Then the night he gets back her starts behaviors that are "bad" enough to lose his bedroom. Also I don't watch this family closely but Chad got kicked out of the private school right? That's not a well behaved child. I also have seen multiple vidoes where Eve has major behavior issues at home or at school. Wasn't there a video where she was pushing people in the hall at school? Then apparently one of the girls has done something bad enough to get her phone taken away permanently? If your kids are doing stuff that warrents this severe of punishment, they are not well behaved. That whole video was a story about how naughty Ruby's children are according to her. A well behaved family should not need things constantly taken away. Also I never once got my phone, bedroom, friends, door, or really anything else taken away from me and I turned out find and am not a "snowflake.".

She metaphorically punches her children in the face then pretends a coddling session! She first tells Russell how he feels then she asks him when he says mad she ignores it and feeds him how he feels!!! Her children are isolated and controlled and all hate her!!!! She made Chad go in front of the safe at 5 to think!? And sleep on a beanbag just because he pranked his little brother!!!

So my moms been a social worker for longer than I've been alive (and im 23) so I asked her about the Chad and the kids getting things taken for months at a time and she said "as long as they have clothes on their back, shelter, and food to eat there's nothing much CPS can do" (granted we live on the east coast so idk the difference between Utah CPS and my states CPS).

Unfortunately, in a general sense, CPS hasn't caught up to the many types of ways that parents can abuse a child (with or without knowing). As long as they see the basics and a clean house, they don't care. Only in extremely RARE cases do they actually remove a child because of emotional (and otherwise unseeable) abuse, it honestly has to be plain to see and effecting the child to where the caseworker feels that a family needs further investigation. However, at the end of the day, a lot of them don't do that because of the other cases piled on their desk, they don't want another. Thats where cases like the Gabriel Fernandez case comes in, where it was obvious abuse and no one did anything and as the result the system failed that little boy.

I agree with what your mom said. I'm would think Utah is even more relaxed about it as it's a large Mormon community and the church weighs heavily on the management and well-being of families.

I really had to take a day break from Ruby and watch her IG stories the next day, but I was too late as it's been past 24 hours. I was just so sick after hearing the first few seconds of that IG story. Anyone else saved it and could share it? I only caught the first bit of Ruby telling viewers that Chad wanted her to keep the footage of him saying he's had to sleep on a bean bag chair.

Of course Chad wouldn't want Ruby to edit out the footage of him basically telling viewers that he has had to sleep on a fucking bean bag chair instead of an actual bed because his cruel heartless evil witch mother Ruby (this is like a disney movie) refuses to give him that necessity. He's not an idiot like his mother, he knows what is his right vs his privilege, and he's openly showing viewers that he's upset about this, you can see it in his fucking eyes (as long as your not a stupid bitch like Ruby is) you can see how sad he looks when he says that he's had to sleep on a fucking bean bad chair, (which he probably had to buy himself) instead of his own bed because of his cruella de ville mother.

Could anyone fully explain to me about what other idiot hypocritical things she said?

If you look in their tagged photos there are a lot of people working to call CPS on them. Normally I don't approve of people calling CPS based off of social media opinons, but in this case i do. It will be interesting how this all shapes up over the next few days or weeks.

I wonder what CPS would even be able to do? It's a sad situation.. those kids deserve so much better... like 90% of the kids on YT deserve so much better... then I think of what about the families we don't see on camera?

Whilst her treatment of the children does qualify as abusive, it isn't to the extent that social services would intervene.

I think if I was in Chad's situation I'd feel like I didn't really have anything to lose and I might as well behave badly.

The army is going to be like a holiday for him.

If it's not bad enough that CPS should intervene, what would qualify then?? I'm honestly curious, because from what we've seen time and time again, this isn't the first time that these poor kids are being neglected and/or emotionally abused by their parents. I looked at that link that someone shared about child abuse, and yep, if you go down to the emotional abuse and/or the neglect parts of the article and read the list that are under each of them for examples of emotional abuse/neglect, most of these examples HAS already happened to these poor kids.

And yes, agreed that the army will probably be much more emotionally fulfilling than being in that household. No joke. At least in the army Chad will be given the opportunity to stand up for himself and others around him lol, he can't even do that now without the threat of a bed being taken away from him.

You actually did not "miss it" as I believe they deleted it since it has not been the 24 hours since they posted it. But I believe that several people have reposted at least portions of it if you go into their tagged photos. But to sum up what she said. Apparently we are projecting our own failings on parenting, or our parents own failures and that's why we are "triggered" by her video. She went on to state that professionals are the ones that have advised they take these measures. But from my deduction those professionals are either the person training her to be a life coach or the Anastazi wilderness camp. She states Chad didn't have a bed during wilderness camp and those people are mental health professionals, so she is in the right taking away his bed. Also, her discipline must be working because 8Passanger fans tell her that her kids are so well behaved.

Now her newest post is getting comments so I am sure the next purge will be going down! Hopefully someone will come thru with the full content, or better memory than me, but items that stick out,

Kevin stated they have been in touch long before YT with counselors about how to raise their children and they are ones that recommend it are aware of the methods they use.

They are not abusing Chad by taking bed away, he went without a bed on the trail and since the management of that program can get away with no beds, it certainly is not abusive when doing the same in a home environment.

The way they discipline and raise their children cause viewers to trigger because viewers clearly have issues themselves that need to be addressed.

Kevin and Ruby have done right by their kids, they are teaching them to be responsible, independent adults at the age of 18 when they are kicked out and expected to thrive on their own. Kevin stated basically any thing different is creation of a snowflake.

They are raising good kids, the methods they use work for them, again methods that supposed professionals are aware of and in support of.

Lots of deflecting, no remorse and even more putting the issue on the viewers that we are suffering from issues that need addressed so that how they raise their children does not come across as wrong and mistreatment.

They took turns talking but it was really annoying to watch Kevin watching Ruby with his lips pursed.

As a professional Child Psychologist I totally NOT agree with the punishment of sleeping on the floor. It has absolutely nothing to do with Chad’s behaviour. It’s not a direct consequence. I think it’s ridiculous. It’s a basic need, just like food. Yes you can survive without a bed but why on earth would you take away your child’s bedroom? Do they take away food too? Or a shower? Or school? Or a toilet?

Ruby acts like she studied for years and is a freaking (child) psychologist herself. Well she’s NOT. Reading a book about gratitude does not make you a counselor/psychologist or social worker. It’s all about her. She can’t handle Chad’s behaviour (which seems to be totally age approved teenage behaviour!) and that’s exactly what’s using those kind of physical punishments. It’s like going back to the ‘50. Home is supposed to be a safe place.

I only got to see the story where she's looking at the camera like a crazy woman and Kevin's sitting there staring vacantly while she says, 'Don't be scared of your kids, don't be!', whatever the hell that's supposed to mean. Maybe you should be worried about your kids being scared of YOU, Ruby. Seriously, what is wrong with her and where does she even come up with these things? I think she is saying don't be afraid to discipline and expect things from your kids lest they grow up to be snowflakes (Kevin's choice word, not mine).

Ruby thinks her parents did it so well, maybe Kevin's too, and she rules with an iron fist because of it. She needs to look at herself and her siblings, girls especially because they all have BAD issues that stem from childhood. The one they all share in common (maybe not Julie so much) is the need to have acceptance from complete strangers thru social media. Ruby, what does this say about you that it's so important for you to get pat's on the back for everything you do and neither you, nor your sister can take any sort of criticism, even if it is constructive? You seek the attention of complete strangers, but if your children were to do something for attention it is brought out as bad behavior worth punishnent. By the way don't say I'm the one who needs the acceptance because other than to read the stuff about influencers, I'm not on social media so I have no issues with begging for attention or acceptance.

The things that would qualify CPS involvement is dirty home (roaches, dog feces etc everywhere), inadequate access to food/water/shelter, whether the parents have been involved with CPS before, abuse (obvious neglect/physical/sexual abuse) etc. Like I said in my previous comment, CPS generally doesn't look at emotional abuse too much unless its extreme or has divulged itself in other ways (like the ways I mentioned above). While yes, letting Eve and Russell roam around their neighborhood and not know where they are for hours on end or the fact that all of them lack key hygiene skills are forms of neglect, all the kids have clean clothes, access to a washer/dryer and clothes that aren't 5 sizes too small for them and aren't ripped/torn/worn. Even if they did remove the children or get involved in any type of way, removal is the last option. They'll (at least) get them therapy, and work with the family until they satisfy what their requirements are.

Just want to let you guys know on the app tik tok people are posting the video she put on youtube and the video is going all around. So many people are commenting about how they feel bad for the kids, people that used to watch and stopped or people who have never heard of her. People are also learning about this forum and learning about all the bad things she's done.People are finally noticing how bad and controlling Ruby are (surprised they didn't realize before). She is going to lose subscribers from this. Also social blade says she hasn't earned a new subscriber since around March 2nd.

Went to go check on the YouTube page, and either YouTube took it down because so many people reported it, or Ruby realized she's not gonna be praised for being a fucking moron (taking away her son's bed) and took it down herself. She's a stupid bitch. I've honestly barely met many people who have been able to make me curse this much. The only other person who has often gotten me really angry is Hitler, I don't see many differences between Hitler and Ruby now lol.
