Wow. Shari has the same narrative as mom and grandma. Everybody is either a 13 year old girl or a creepy guy if it’s an adult.

Be your own person Shari. It’s ok to have different opinions than your parents. It’s ok to feel different than what they told you you should be feeling. Actually I think that Shari is like a mini Ruby. You don’t need to Shari. You can have your own personality and life and dreams. You don’t need to go look for a husband and have kids and stay at home and do YouTube.
It’s so sad. And you can see generations of dysfunctional families pretending to be model families.

There are children who are abused, physically and sexually and they need help. Desperate help. More urgent help than the Franke kids. I agree.
But you are being subjected to emotional abuse. Not having a door, not being able to sleep in a bed, not having a backpack when your family can provide for these things is emotional abuse.
Your mother telling you how to feel, not letting you have friends is emotional abuse.

It’s not the same kind of abuse. But it leaves its mark. And the fact that people are pointing it out is because you put your lives on the internet. And you can edit your videos. But you choose to leave some bits and pieces like a 5 year old not getting any lunch and a mother saying she hopes nobody gives her food.

Yes it’s 10 seconds of a 20 minute video which makes you wonder, if this is what they choose to show us, what is the depth of the ugliness going on?

Also you should feel grateful instead of angry that people in the internet care about you or your siblings enough to be worried.

There are still a lot more accounts but I think you guys get my point ) They're actually pretty big on TikTok. Some of the videos on there have almost 2 million views. People looked at the hashtag #8passengers 4.3 million times and 1.1 million looked at #savechad. I'm all here for it lol!

Was Ruby being sarcastic when she wrote so much love in one photograph on her recent instagram post? They all looked so depressed and didn't want to be there. What is up with her and Bonnie lately? I don't remember them ever being together this much.

Ugh, it is going to be even worse watching Shari try to address this than Ruby and Kevin. It is very frustrating to me that a lot of the accounts calling out the family are noticeably immature and not very well thought out (often complaining the kids don't have phones, which is a minor issue compared to others) and those are going to be the only ones this family will pretend are giving them negativity, not mature adults with well reasoned thoughts. I'm proud of the young teens who are calling out the abuse in this family but all I am saying is it will be a lot easier for Ruby and the family to feel the accusations are unjustified when it is most loudly coming from young people who they look down on.

Yes Shari, there is worse abuse happening in the world. But abuse is abuse, and what Ruby does to her kids is absolutely neglectful and emotionally abusive. Also, Shari doesn't experience it nearly as badly as her siblings so she is the last person I want to hear from about this. Just because some people have it worse does not mean it is okay for Ruby to do these things to her kids and, even more shockingly and harmful, broadcast it to the entire internet and DEFEND it. Of course the Griffiths family members don't see any problem with it and are defending them -- similar things are going on in their own families! But I have always considered Ruby the worst of them all.

This entire situation will not result in a single second of self reflection or thought from the Franke parents. Nothing will change, this will blow over and they will have their audience back to fuel and encourage the rampant exploitation of these children for their mother's profit and hers alone. I hope the kids at least know this is all going on and maybe within themselves feel empowered to stand up to their parents or say no to being filmed when they don't want to be. No child wants strangers attacking their family for abuse and will naturally want to defend their family and say it's not so bad. But I think that's a symptom of it all - they don't realize it's happening to them because on the surface they are a well-off picture-perfect family, and those things aren't 'supposed' to happen to families like theirs.

Shari sees her parents way because.

1. She a perfect Mormon girl
2. She has only had her phone taken away for a couple of days not 6 months or never again. She said this herself.
3. She’s awful to her siblings/ Julie most of all.
How would she feel if she didn’t have a bedroom for 7 months and to sleep on a bean bag or floor.

Unfortunately these kids know no different. They have no friends, they have no other life experiences to realize what goes on in their home is NOT normal.

Like someone said, abuse is abuse. I’m sure the Franke’s can’t comprehend that abuse is more than going hungry or having bruises all over. Emotional abuse runs deep.

Shari should not be the one addressing the issue and I’m confident it’s Ruby’s idea that she does to “prove a point” when it comes out of the mouth of her kid instead of her.

I hope the person that takes comments from YTMD and posts them on Instagram posts, does so with your comment so Ruby might read it. It is exactly how I feel. Phones are privilege, as are driving permits. It is the right of the parent to take something like this away or hold off a driving permit it they feel the child is not ready. The last thing you want is a young person on the road who is not serious and responsible. Same with a phone, if they cannot be responsible, then it's a right to take it away. There are plenty of other things to point out as truly harmful to the Franke kids. Lack of respect when her child says no to something being shared, and she does it anyway. NO, means NO, don't manipulate it into being something to suit yourself. Children do not need an adult telling them what or how to feel, this is called coaching. Kids make mistakes and learn from mistakes, but Ruby's rules are harsh and unbending. Kids need outlets and friends, not isolation. There are many others but we have pointed them out so I won't say more.

For the people who don't know the 40 year old they are calling creepy is a popular Tik Tok person named BillyVSCO who makes videos about the right way to raise kids like not kicking them out or yelling at them and etc.. He is a pastor at his church also. He willing to adopt troubled kids and so far he has adopted one kid and more than willing to adopt the Frankes.

The problem with any of the kids addressing the abuse allegations is that this is all they know. There are lots of kids raised in abusive homes who don't realize that what they are experiencing is abuse, because to them it is just normal. I try not to make things personal on here, but I was abused by my mother all the way up until I was 17. She was physically, emotionally, and psychologically abusive to me and it took me at least three years after moving out to realize that I had been abused and that it wasn't normal to be treated like that. My mom was a narcissist like Ruby and one of their common traits is having a scapegoat. They single out one child and are often times only abusive towards that child, or at least the abuse is for more extreme with that child. I was the scapegoat while my older sister was the golden child who could do no wrong. To this day she denies that any abuse happened because she only remembers our mom being good to her and my other siblings, and they believe her lies that I was just a bad kid so I got extra punishments. Shari kind of seems to be one of the kids who gets let off the hook most of the time, rarely getting punished or only getting moderate discipline. She's likely to believe that Chad is just a bad kid or that her mother is great just because she treats her good. Meanwhile, I could even see Chad himself coming on the vlog and denying that he's being abused, because he probably thinks its just normal or that he is a bad kid and deserves it. It's sad, but those kids are probably all going to deny the abuse because they don't realize its abuse. I hope someone still checks in on them despite what they say, realizing that they're kids and can't say for themselves if abuse is happening either because they've been confused to think that their situation is normal, or they're scared of their parents retaliating.

Why are they not going to go to the snooty private school anymore? Today Abbey said they “can’t”. Is it bad grades or are they going broke?

I have feeling it's both of those reasons. But if it was mostly bad grades, I do not blame the kids. The majority of them are still pretty young and need a parent to check up on their homework and test grades and such. When I was 13 (like Abbey is now) my parents always made sure to know how school was going. It wasn't hard to find out either, as they always got emails when report cards came out and stuff like that. Wouldn't shock me if neither Ruby nor Kevin barely check their emails for messages from the kid's schools to check up on stuff like that.

If they can no longer attend private school because they are having money troubles, that 100% does not shock me. Ruby is sooo stupid when it comes to handling money, she has no idea how to manage it and I hope these kids don't suffer do to all of her's and Kevin's stupid purchases.

Shari just edited the caption on her photo and it looks like she will not be uploading a video today about the abuse situation after all. What a shame, probably just couldn't figure out a way to make RubyDo (more like RubyDon't) look good. I know there are more important things going on in the world and i definitely care much more about that, but i do think 8Passengers time has come and gone.
