For my feeling many choices they make on parenting have something to do with lazyness and going the easy way. You are too lazy to prepare your kids lunch, even if the kid is just six or seven years old? Make the kid responsible. Kid forgot the lunch? Ha, not my responsibility. Your teenage son does things you do not want him to do? Send him away, other people will fix this. Your teenage son pranks his way younger brother? Just take away his bed instead of trying to make him understand how his brother felt in this situations.

Well, not that I truly believe Ruby or Kevin have enough empathy to get this themselves as they have zero issues to exploit their kids or treat them not
very nice on camera.

It is kind of sad, because Chad sometimes shows that he has some potential, also in being a better person than his own parents (making a compliment on Julie, stepping in when the other family members were not very nice to her, I remember one video were he was interacting with one of his baby counsins etc.).

I kind of think, they have now some advising going on in the background to help get them out of the situation (not the parenting one of course, the YT/Instagram desaster for them)

I definitely think there is a third party giving them direction now, and who recommended Shari not release a video.

They can think they will pull the wool over everyone's eyes but I don't believe this will go away. They really rubbed people wrong. There are other YT doing vlogs about them and all those coming at them on Instagram. Ruby cannot be nice to her kids so it's only a matter of time that she would create another rise up.

I'm trying to imagine the daily family dynamics during the seven month period that Chad slept on the floor. Is it possible for Chad to have experienced any genuinely happy family moments during this time? Can you really ever bond with your parents, or feel good about yourself, when you know you'll be spending another night banned from your bed? Were there ever any exceptions made- or was he expected to sleep on the floor even on his 15th birthday, during Christmas, when he was sick, or the night before an important test at school?

And what happened if he occasionally rebelled and snuck into his bed for a good night's sleep? Would Ruby and Kevin expect Russell to tell on him (thus further ruining their brother relationship)? Would they periodically check his room in the middle of the night and then drag him back outside if they found him in there? The whole thing actually makes me feel nauseous when I think about it. If ever did that to my children, I would be guilt-ridden and unable to sleep knowing that they are sleeping on the floor.

Surely some of their friends and family would strongly disagree with their parenting methods. I know that Ruby's parents, some of her siblings, and April & Davey can't see anything wrong with it, but I can imagine people like the Mikesells or the Leroys being quite uncomfortable with it- it's just that they would never come out publicly and say it if they did.

I just want to post a general reminder to some of the biggest abuse/neglect allegations in case any new people stumble across this site. I’d recommend searching for both of these topics within the treads here as I’m pretty sure the videos talking about this stuff are long gone.

So let’s not forget:

Russell broke his FEMUR (the longest, strongest, hardest bone in the body)as an infant (meaning his bones were still soft and had a bit of extra flex to them, meaning breaking them is extremely difficult). The story from Ruby is that he fell off a couch and she didn’t notice it was broken for an entire WEEK. I have never believed this story, as the forced needed to break an infant femur does not line up at all with the story given and I have no idea how you wouldn’t notice something is wrong for an entire week. Russell didn’t walk until we was 2 years old, there is certainly some correlation here.

Julie has a flat head because she wasn’t held or picked up enough as a baby and wasn’t bathed or put in clean clothes enough at one point, leading Ruby to comment on how incredibly smelly she always was. This was during a time Ruby has alluded to major neglect of her children due to being extremely poor, having numerous miscarriages and a gaggle of small children. Additionally she alluded to having some sort of pill problem around this time, but has never revealed more about that.


I’m sure I’m missing some major stuff but these things really stick out in my head. If any sleuths can find the videos that correlate with these (I’d say search here to see when it was first discussed), that’d be amazing and would probably blow this drama open. I am sure the videos are already long gone, or will be after they inevitable read this post, but nonetheless, this stuff happened and really paints a picture of some of the horrors those children have faced.

I still don't understand how nobody seemed to question the story about Russell breaking his femur. I've been an ER nurse in the past, and if someone came in with that cock and bull story, along with _admitting_ to not noticing for a week, CPS would have been my first call. And the fact that they continued to try to pop out babies when they were poor and Ruby was obviously overwhelmed and having frequent miscarriages speaks to how deeply ingrained the Griffiths "reproduce at all costs" mentality is. If Ruby wasn't so completely unable to look at herself and be willing to accept constructive criticism and try to change, I could actually feel sorry for her.

Does anyone remember the video of when Russel forgot his lunch and he called his mom from the office crying asking for to bring it? And she said no also! And maybe he’ll find a friend that will be willing to share. Or when she lost Eve in Costco or Sams club and they found her on a high shelf where they displayed the big outdoor play house?

Have they not learnt anything from the past few days? still exploiting their children’s emotions for a storyline. I recognise this isn’t half as bad as the other things Ruby has done - but after the last couple of days, you’d think she’d make an effort to not use the kids to get money. Then once again she exclaims how ‘Julie was SO upset’ (although granted she didn’t look like she cared too much - but this is still a lack of privacy) and went on to get the kids to recreate scenes. It’s not a movie, this is their life story. I don’t know what else I expected really - of course nothing would change.

This YouTube vlogger who vlogs trending news, reality tv, tea, and more, filmed a clip about the 8 passengers. She has similar opinions as seen on this board. There were over six hundred comments on this vlog and one comment said Last year my cousin pierced their ears at their piercing shop. He said she was a raging b---- to them off camera.

Ruby told Julie to pick up the blankets around the house SO Julie did as she was told. Russel and Eve were building a fort. They got mad and I guess went crazy in Julies room.

Ruby said she would help Julie clean her room while Russel and Eve went back to make the fort.

The video they posted is just them showing that they are the perfect family. No mention of the allegations.

Why don't they buy a bedframe for these kids. From what we have seen Shari doesn't have one and now it is shown that Julie doesn't have one either. And her room is completely empty except for her mattress and the birdcage.
They certainly aren't scared of the virus anymore because Ruby and Kevin went on a retreat.

This is just speculation but could it be that they are deprived from any amusement so that they have to hang out with Ruby and then she has more content.

Why does she think it's a good idea to ask Russell and Eve to destroy Julie's room again so she can film it? I also think it's weird that she told Julie that she would help her clean it up. Why does Julie need to clean it up? Russell and Eve were the ones who 'ruined' her room in the first place. So many questions with this woman.

It’s all going down from here - this woman has such a boring life that she’s telling her kids to trash their sisters room. It was so pointless.

The video they posted is a video from Sunday because they are wearing church clothes.
So before the drama.

I think her PR told her to upload it and edit it so that she doesn’t look like she punishes her children for wrong doing at all.

When we all know if this were true the consequences would be unfair and extreme.

I think the strategy is:

1- do not address the drama (which is not what Ruby would have done, she would be telling people how this comes from their own trauma and 13 year olds)

2- keep up the videos but show more family time and situations where you resolve conflict talking and no punishment is given

3- silently delete all videos that are being pointed out where you use extreme punishments or are neglectful of your children

And it will go away and everything will be back to normal

I dread to think what really is going on. Poor Chad, I’m sure he is paying for this dearly

What does she think Eve and Russell are to do? I haven't seen any toys. No electronics. Rarely any furniture anywhere in that house. We know she doesn't play with them as it's not her responsibility to entertain them. That living room is also a sorry excuse. But check Ruby's bathroom out and her closet. That is so telling of Rubys priorities.

It still blows my mind that she laughed whilst saying Chad didn't have a bed for 7 months, but when Chad laughs about the prank he pulled all of a sudden perhaps she should take his bed again because he didn't learn.

There's no doubt she is having a private meeting with her life coach as to how to handle this.

I wish there was a way to watch their videos without giving them a view.

Ruby and Kevin’s behaviour makes me really angry and the fact that they broadcast their children’s problems online is awful. I don’t agree with almost anything they do but at the same time I’m really uncomfortable with all these videos cropping up about them and especially any messages sent directly to the children. I don’t care if that 40 yr old guy has good intentions- as far as I’m concerned he doesn’t if he’s contacting Shari directly on social media. Anyway, this is ultimately the parents’ fault for putting their kids’ lives online but still I think people need to be careful about posting stuff the kids can access easily or will hear about. I suppose this site isn’t that different but I guess I see it as a place where, for the most part, we make concerned comments about the families we watch based on stuff we’ve actually seen. Okay, soap box over.
