The “Defunding the police” push is kinda poorly worded in my opinion. It doesn’t mean take all the money from them but if you look at the budget for most cities, police are getting huge chunks of the budget so the push to defund them is not to take all the money they get just take some of it and reallocate it towards the community. Instead of so much going to the police whose main purpose is to arrest it would go towards different things like more money for homeless centers, more money for addiction treatment centers, more money for women’s shelters, abuse hotlines, etc. and being able to pay more employees to work those jobs. So Hypothetically if there was a neighborhood with a high crime rate instead of spending money and increasing the police presence they could build a better community center with employees and volunteers who are invested in making that area better. Instead of calling 911 when someone is acting suicidal there would be a number for someone trained to handle mental health issues. Instead of the police coming during an overdose situation EMS and someone trained in substance abuse would be dispatched. I was confused about it at first until I did research and In reality it is shocking how much money police departments get and how little money goes towards other areas

Of course she only wants to donate blood to get a COVID test, and not because she wants to do anything nice
And khoa genuinely believing he is too good to catch the virus what a load of crap. They tried to turn it into a joke but he literally believes he is better than a virus. What on Earth

This will be the only thing I say. The 40k police couldn’t even control the looters in NYC. Police are poorly trained in a lot of areas. What do you think would happen if there are less cops. The solution is more money put into police training. Are they going to send mental health experts out to plead with evil looters to stop. Everyone who lives in these areas better get out now. There will be chaos and property values are about ready to plummet.Redcar2019 wrote:The “Defunding the police” push is kinda poorly worded in my opinion. Um what? I don’t think you can compare what’s happening during protests to every day life? Sure police need more training and I never said I wouldn’t want money put towards that but that doesn’t mean we need more police? I didn’t say anything about sending a mental health expert to stop looting (although I will say I have seen plenty of videos of rational every day citizens stopping the looting way more than cops). Obviously there are situations where we need police officers. I’m saying there are plenty of situations where we don’t and the budget could be reallocated to people who can better handle those situations because that’s actually what they are trained for years to do. I would strongly encourage you to look into the budget for your city. In my city EMS/Fire get 12.5% of the yearly budget and police get 32% (so you can imagine how little is going towards everything else). This doesn’t even include the fact that a good chunk of seized cars, guns, money, etc related to illegal activity gets to be used or sold for money by the police station as well. Quite frankly your statement shows that you haven’t been reading the links shared on social media because you sound uneducated on the BLM movementchloe6124 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 12:28 pmThis will be the only thing I say. No I am not. What happens when there is another up rising and violence and there isn’t enough cops. BLM sounds good but I suggest you go do some research on what their group is really about. Their main goal is anarchy and to defund the police. Less police equals more crime.Redcar2019 wrote:Um what? I don’t think you can compare what’s happening during protests to every day life? Didn’t you say “This will be the only thing I say” oh how I wish that was true. But it doesn’t surprise me that you feel you are an expert on this topic since you seem to be an “expert” on most of the topics discussed here. I gave statistics and made my point. For the sake of not wanting to go back and forth because it’s clear where you stand and this is unrelated to kkandbabyj, we can simply agree to disagreechloe6124 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 12:58 pmNo I am not. So you're going to say if there is less money being allocated to the police funding and MORE into lower class communities for job opportunities, education programs, community programs, health services there will still be as much violence???
People in low class communities will have WAY more chances to set their lives straight. They won't have to deal drugs, steal, and join gangs to make any sort of money. Some young kids get into violence because they have NOTHING TO WORK TOWARDS.
They are forced into lives of crime.
Don't you dare call people fighting for a change anarchists. The chaos is being created by the police themselves. Why don't you call THEM the anarchists. They're killing innocent people who are fighting for equality. They are protesting so that no more Black men and women and of colour are targeted for their skin tone.
You're clearly not a mother, because im even scared of the kind of world my son will grow up in if there's no changes to be made regarding racism and any social injustices.

Kernel is so dim in the brain. While pushing her sudden virtuous (performative) BLM posts, she simultaneously continues to make posts that illustrate her weird obsession with white washing her own mixed-face children.
She wants them blonde hair and blue eyed and nothing else will do

Off topic but I remember Pineapples but don’t remember her switching sides? And her kid? Wtf. Would someone mind messaging me and filling me in if possible? More shocked to hear her kid was murderedAmanda-L wrote:Of course Khoa posted it on his channel where it wouldn't be seen by as many people, just like they did with that other half arsed non-apology video. They donated $1000 after her young son was tragically murdered so I guess they can't possibly be racist, huh? They donated a bit of their money so it's all good. Keren of course gets a free pass because she is married to a Vietnamese man and has t h r e e half-asian babies so that means she was always allowed to make comments about their eye shape and skin colour. Khoa of course was allowed to use hateful language, not only did they once donate to something but he himself is Vietnamese and had a black friend. It's fine.

“The majority of police are good”? Wow I feel so safe that the “majority” of the people who’s job it is to keep everyone safe are good. You are right then. We should for sure hire more cops and not look into any of the corruption within the police system. Why make any changes to a system when “the majority” of the people are doing what they are being paid to dochloe6124 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 3:59 pmI wasn’t talking about the people asking for change. The fact you say the police are starting the violence is ridiculous. You can’t throw frozen water bottles, bricks and explosives at police. That is not ok. Peaceful protest were hijacked by antagonist. Less police means minority communities suffer. It’s kind of funny these cities with the most looting and violence all have Democratic mayors. Maybe people should start looking at who they are electing.

they are starting the violence? the protests are peaceful until the cops show up. cops are literally SHOOTING people with rubber bullets. Did you not see the video of them shoving an elderly to the ground and just leaving him there to bleed? ACAB. LMAO LESS POLICE MEANS MINORITY COMMUNITIES SUFFER? The cops will never be a safety net for the black community, they don't exist to protect and serve us, they have only protected the interests of the few, the rich, and often the white. the fact that you can make these claims just shows how privileged you are.chloe6124 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 4:59 pmI never said that. My post said money should be increased for training. There needs to be no tolerance for the bad ones.Redcar2019 wrote:“The majority of police are good”? Wow I feel so safe that the “majority” of the people who’s job it is to keep everyone safe are good. You are right then. We should for sure hire more cops and not look into any of the corruption within the police system. Why make any changes to a system when “the majority” of the people are doing what they are being paid to dochloe6124 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 3:59 pm
I wasn’t talking about the people asking for change. It’s a fact that BLM is a front group. Go do your research. Don’t go call the police then if someone breaks in to your home or business. The majority of police are good and are there to keep order and protect your leftist ass.

In what world does Khoa live in that he thinks if he has a 9am appointment they’re gonna be ready for him that second. They always complain at the doctors, dentist, mechanic, ect that they won’t attend to them at the exact time their appointment is. I rarely get seen exactly at the time of my appointments I’ve even waited hours sometimes. They always run behind dude that’s why the WAITING ROOM was invented. They can’t tell the future and predict how long they have to spend on each patient. He was soooo OFFENDED they made him wait 15 minutes. Looked like he was getting ready to sue them, get over yourself. How have both you and Keren not realized this in your almost 30 years of living. Surely you both remember being in the waiting room for the doctors or dentist as a child? Or is adulthood the first time you’ve ever done any of this stuff that it’s blowing your mind? Pro tip if you want to be seen exactly at the time of your appointment the only way that’s happening is if you’re their FIRST appointment when they open up for the day.
