Julie also posted and said she took the weekend off social media and it felt so good not to have her "mind clouded with everyone's opinions and comments." Someone on the Bonnie board said that she said they would post videos again starting tomorrow.

I get that some people will comment about 8 passengers on all the family's channels /IG accounts, so I assume the family is trying to lay low to avoid that. But I do wonder what's going on behind the scenes with managers /lawyers/ CPS.

Julie just posted a new vlog today, but she states it's Memorial Day. Vlog is mostly about the Deru Crews' ending their trip to Bear Lake and then going to what appears to be a family cemetery. Grandpa/Grandma Griff are in this one too as is Ellie.

To be honest I don't see the problem that they are not allowed on electronics, I grew up without it and it didn't make me any less. Children will find something to do. My problem is sleeping on the floor for 7 months which is a very long sentence and pretty unhealthy for your back. There should be an end to a penalty without being extended for convenience. And I don't like the fact that Chad has no doors, especially the bathroom door. He lives in a house where everyone just enters every room without knocking and even with a door. A 15 year old boy should be able to take a private shower without his 17 or 13 year old sister suddenly being in the shower with him.

I miss a lot of basic respect and decency with these children. This is something you learn from your parents, but in this case Ruby gives the example of how disrespectful you should be. A 1 to 1 conversation with a parent is not possible, because usually there is someone around who interferes. At our house you would not come to each other's room unless that person was there or had given permission. But in this family, people walk in all directions whether they belong in that room or not. Privacy just doesn't exist in this family. And then the only place where you have it Chad has to hand in the door as an extended punishment after 7 months of sleeping on the ground and after 3 months of desert camp. What's next? walking around without clothes? That is practically the only thing he has left to lose. His dignity has already flown out the door after no bed and no door.

Chad's punishment has been going on for so long and is getting extended or changed so much that I doubt he'll learn anything from it. Being in trouble and being punished is so normal that he is likely to be more punished from getting a compliment.

I feel a little bad that each family is being affected by the comments on their own sites; but, since they've always shared in promoting each other and riding on the coattails of others, I guess they are fair game. Also, the fact that they all see first hand how the kids are treated, and they fail to step in and do/say something (more than likely), they have the treatment coming to them.

I wonder if Ruby has realized yet that she really messed up, and it may have cost her her prestigious title.

Today's world has changed with kids having cell phones etc. and taking away electronics is fine, but for three or four months seems excessive. Also, it was discussed this happen with grandparents who didn't have instructions about their usage.
The other issue is how much Ruby doesn't do as a mom and I mean a five year makes her own lunch. I'm not sure what age they are expected to do their own laundry?
I looked at Tik Tok and they have ALL the clips that they've taken down. There is a lot of them.
The biggest issue is their vlogs are kid dependent or specifically having Chad in many of the videos resulting in providing for Kevin and Ruby's comforts. Without the kids, there is no travel with other couples around the world, no new home, no new bathroom, landscaping the backyard....we're talking tens of thousands of dollars.
I guess Bonnie will not be taking Chad on their RV trip this summer. It appeared Bonnie was trying to increase her view numbers with his presence last summer since Chad increased views for Ruby's channel after returning home from Anasazi.

Russell has to do his own laundry, I think she starts them out at 6, maybe? Eve has to do her own too; however, Ruby put all the girls on the same floor so that they can help Eve do her laundry, and get dressed, and fix her hair. Ruby had a big boo hoo vlog before they moved that once they moved, she wouldn't be holding Eve anymore, or doing things for her. She's a trip!

The loaning him out to Bonnie for her vlog was disgusting. I could see if it would have been to get him around other family members, like Uncle Joel and let them bond (Kevin doesn't seem to do any male bonding with Chad, and like I sad before, Chad has no other cousins to hang with.) However, it was clearly to boost Bonnie's views. Otherwise, why doesn't he ever go and visit grandparents, or other families and spend some time with them. When we were growing up, we would go to our cousins and stay for a week or two, or a weekend, even with not having someone our own age to be with. It was a treat to see how our other family lived and fun to play board games and just talk, watch tv, etc.

In their eyes, Chad is not worthy of friends, a bed, privacy, a means of communication (ok, take away the cell phone, but do they have a land line he can call someone on?), entertainment.....it's a wonder they allow him to breath clean air.

Why are Chad, Abby, and Shari in on a punishment discussion for the younger ones. She certainly is not encouraging any sibling bonding. So she pins the kids against each other and they have no friends to hang with. They have no way to contact any friends. With YouTube she has publicly embarrassed them. Until laws catch up with modern social media, there is no help for any of the 20 Griffiths grandchildren. I guess technically 17 because Beau’s wife really doesn’t vlog much about her kids and when she does it’s their accomplishments.

Interesting how Julie edited out Ruby and Bonnie and their families from her video today. You can see they are all there, but they aren't shown except in the background. She never puts them on camera or speaks to them on camera. Very unusual.

I'm guessing this is the end of all of the Griffith channels. I almost never watch 8 Passengers because Ruby is such a B*ITCH. Karma....

Putting Chad to suggest a punishment for Eve is a manipulative tactic towards Chad! If he gets to choose or she pretends to let him choose she in a way validates that she was right in punishing him!
For some of the posts above about electronics ,it was never about electronics or confiscating them kids are better off for it! But in her case and her kids is she never provides options! If you are going to be in lockdown get them to sports!!! Drive them to their friends! Make an effort to socialize them! No Ruby they don’t want to hang with YOU!!! And YES it is your job to find these outlets for them!
So it was never about the electronics and bed those were extra cruelness she is like an abusive spouse stripping everything she can friends life fun so she can have total control over them! No wonder Ellie who she had a big role raising can’t stand her not that she is any better now using Ruby’s tactics on her own kids and all probably raised by gran that way!
I know every mom feels me when I say oh no not another party invite or playdate but we go each time and we interact with people we wouldn’t normally do, but we do this because not only does it bring joy to our offsprings but is the most crucial part of their development! Ruby in her own word has zero compassion and zero affection!

I can only imagine the benefits Chad would have from spending even just a weekend at his uncle Beau’s house. Time away from the camera and his toxic parents and siblings, he’s always enjoyed playing with little cousins, and some time with an adult male family member who isn’t a pompous asshole.

I really don’t think CPS is going to do much - what they’re doing really isn’t “abuse”, but hopefully it will cause some type of investigation - I want them demonetized IMMEDIATELY. I will honestly say I used to be a huge fan of the whole family before their channels turned into their main source of income. I admired their hard work and the struggles they all went through - but this is absolutely ridiculous and it makes me so mad that I contributed to this type of attitude behavior that the “Griffith’s Girls” have!

That being said, I’d also like to point out (which I know has been talked about here) that Ruby left her little 6 year old to fend for herself when she was sick with a fever, because poor Ruby was being “manipulated” by her child. It absolutely made me sick to hear Ruby say that. Yet another reason why YouTube needs to cut this family off. What kind of mother doesn’t try to comfort her own child, unless it is in front of a camera? It makes my blood boil. Just add that to the list of reasons she should be cancelled forever

Does anyone else remember when Kevin & Ruby set up a college grant to help complete strangers. They did almost a whole vlog about it explaining that Kevin received help so now that they were in the position to help they felt it was obligated of them.

I find this ironic especially now that they have came out and said there own children need to pay for college. Yet they are helping complete strangers!

Taking away your kids electronics isn’t abuse, but I’ve always wondered why Ruby has such a negative attitude towards her kids using technology when she makes all of her money putting her children on the internet? She’s okay with technology when it’s used to serve her and benefit her but not when her kids play games and text their friends. I do find it concerning that she took them away while we’re still in the middle of a pandemic and life doesn’t look like it did before. The kids just don’t have as many outlets as they did before and using technology could be beneficial during this time. It’s so frustrating to watch her say she isn’t responsible for entertaining her kids, takes the younger kids toys away, won’t sign her kids up for activities because that means she’s a victim because she has to drive them places. Somethings gotta give. It’s great to see the kids always have a book in their hand, but that shouldn’t be the only outlet and activity their allowed to do.

I 100% think what they are doing to their kids is classified as abuse. Are they beating them? No. But they are emotionally and possibly verbally abusing them. You do NOT take a bathroom door away from someone, and you certainly don’t take a bedroom from your child for 7 or so months. Chad couldn’t even make a comment about why the meatballs had jam in them without being told he was ungrateful and unappreciative. The kids in that house do not have a voice and are not being heard. They are constantly changing schools, something must be going on for that to happen. They have no friends.
