Thank you.emma2948 wrote:This might just be me, but I think that even if Chad was given a fair opportunity to choose between ballroom dance and football, and decided to ultimately do ballroom dance, that doesn't really say anything about him being gay. This is just my personal opinion, but I don't really see why there is so much seperation between what is deemed masculine and/or feminine hobbies and interests. If a boy likes doing makeup, that's great, it should not just be a 'feminine' thing and the boy could still like girls and be straight even if he does like makeup. If a female liked football, she wouldn't have to be lesbian to like football even if people see it as a more masculine hobby. You see what I mean? Of course if you are gay or lesbian there is absolutely nothing wrong with you, but the things that interest you/ things that you find genuinely interesting shouldn't deem your sexuality and who you are attracted to.nesland300 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 6:52 pmI think it's possible and his ballroom dance phase made me wonder, especially abruptly it ended when he seemed so into it. I could be wrong, but I seem to remember them making him choose between it and football. If this turned out to be the case, it would make sense that they gave him a "choice" on camera but chose football for him off camera. It would also mesh with sending him away, the no privacy, deleting his social media and taking his phone permanently. As far as I know we haven't seen any direct evidence of it, but that doesn't mean much considering Ruby wouldn't include it in the videos anyway.WheresMyCoffee wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 4:56 pm Smonkey Glow (video above) mentions there are rumors the camp Chad was sent to was an LGBT conversion camp.. she could find no confirmation of this but it got me thinking, could Chad be gay??? and that is why he was sent to the camp, may be why he is acting out and why his bed/room were taken away? (so he has no privacy, bed=where perversion could happen?) I know they are hardcore mormons so... thoughts? apologies if this has been brought up already!
This family is entrenched in the traditional gender roles, but liking ballroom dancing doesn't mean Chad is gay.
And 100% Ruby just posted about BLM because everyone else is, just like she said that she would "want to meet" a same sex partner of any of her kids. The LDS church's official stance is that being gay isn't a sin, but acting on those desires definitely is. So it's fine to be gay as long as you are celibate. It's _possible_ that Ruby has changed and become more tolerant, but I really doubt it. Her inability to say she's wrong about anything else doesn't lead me to hope that her claiming acceptance of gays is anything other than lip service. She took her Chick Fil-a video down without a word. If she had really changed, one would hope she would say "when I made this video, I believed it was right. I have come to see that everyone should have the right to marry the person they love", or something along those lines. And I'm almost positive that she is the type to not believe white privilege exists, or even understand why people are so upset. She probably thinks it's George Floyd's "fault" that he was in a position to be confronted by the police in the first place. (I've seen other people saying basically that on SM).
