I'm a long-time lurker but first time poster - I am so curious as to whether Mimi and Poppy are moving in with them to the new place? When I found out the new place had 6 bedrooms I was so happy / impressed that they would finally have 5 bedrooms to divvy between the kids - but it seems like they only have 4 rooms they are splitting between the kids? Ugh. Between the tiny backyard and lack of bedrooms, they are going to outgrow this house in a few years.

Also, surely they can afford to help Mimi / Poppy find a local condo or apartment close by? (Speculating that finances are the issue but who knows - I just can't reconcile another good reason to have two extra people in a house that's already bursting at the seams with people. Sure it's free help, but they saw Mimi nearly every day before she lived w them anyways.)

IMO if they have 4 bedrooms for the kids it should be: Lilia, Addie, and Landen get their own rooms and Kyson/Kaden share. There should be two beds in Landen's room, one that he uses and a spare for when Caden / Tommy come. That way when Caden and Tommy are there they have beds to use / a space to put their stuff of their own and Landen can get booted to the twins room. They could also put two sets of bunk beds in the twins room (in addition to the 2 beds in Landens room) so Caden can get his own space when he's in town and all the little boys can room together (she said in the most recent vlog that Tommy wanted to share w the twins anyway, so he could sleep there if he wanted but still have a room to call his own and the bed in Landen's room to use if he wanted to share w Caden instead.)

This setup makes the most sense to me for the ages they are all at.

Maybe this is me being overprotective / helicopter-y but I hate the idea of siblings of opposite genders sharing a room. As they grow up that'll be such a privacy breach and even with the cameras to survey the scene, I still find it icky for some reason. There is no reason Addie/Landen need to share.

I just had to come on here after the bra shopping vlog and ask WHAT THE FUCK Jess was thinking. I remember shopping for my own first bra and I would have been mortified if my mom told anyone about it, let alone RECORDED it for a million strangers and pedophiles to see!!! Is she stupid?!! Does she know what kind of perverts are probably watching? I’m a bit confused (correct me if I Am wrong) Jessss said Lilia was getting her own room . Kyson abd Kaden we’re sharing and so were Landon and Addie but what about Tommy and Caden? She said something about sleeping down stairs? Do they have a bedroom downstairs? Or are they banned to the couch? I know she said there will be a bed for Tommy in the Twins room for if he wants to so why can’t Tommy just sleep with the Twins (I know Caden said he wanted to share with Tommy not a shocker ) but at leathe two eldest can have a room to them selves and as Tommy gets older and more annoyed at the bratty bunch he can move back in with Caden

The floorplan of the house (not sure if it's still online or not, as the development is full now) showed that you could make changes to the floorplan to turn it from a 5 bedroom to a 7 bedroom house.

So what they are doing on the main floor is turning a space that was originally an "office/Den" space into a bedroom by adding a door, then on the other side, there was space that was able to be added on to, to turn it into a 2-room 'suite'. That area showed it's own private bathroom, bedroom, and a room that will be used as a living room for grandma & grandpa, allowing them to have their own space. Then there was a door that shuts it off from the main home. Not that anyone living in that home will respect that space, but whatever. That's on Mimi for moving in with the circus.

Eventually down the road, the way that area was laid out, you could add a door to the living room portion, and it would be 2 additional bedrooms vs 1, so 3 bedrooms downstairs. When the kids are older, I see that being useful for spreading them out a bit.

I have no issue with kids sharing rooms, but if you have the space, it's not necessary, either.

It doesn’t make me think you’re overprotective or helicopter-y just bizarre and a bit concerned about what goes on in your home.

Landen is what, 6? Addie is almost 4. They’re both far far away from puberty, so what’s the issue? They can’t share a room because their genitals are different? Odd. What would be the difference if they were both girls? Boys? Do you feel like two siblings of different genders in the same room innately equates to debauchery?

I’d be way more concerned about Lilia sharing a room with her 4-year-old sister when she’s on the cusps of puberty. She absolutely deserves her own space if possible and so does Caden. They’re both preteens and the cameras should be gone.

The Addie and Landen sharing a room (for now) thing makes the most sense. Addie will be in their bed most of the time anyways. 5 years down the road, yeah, that won’t work but it makes the most sense for now.

Assuming they have 4 total bedrooms it makes the most sense given the kids ages for Lilia and Caden to have their own room. The twins share a room and Tommy shares when he’s there (unless he and Caden both prefer to share) and then Addie and Landen share. Obviously as the younger ones get closer to puberty things will have to change. For now, that’s ideal.

And honestly, if Landen, Addie and Lilia all get their own rooms what happens to Tommy and Kaden? I can’t imagine having such gender hang ups that I’d be ok with shoving 5 boys in one room versus having two boy/girl siblings With a 2.5 year age difference share a room for a few years.

So you think the best option would be for a 10 year old girl (granted they keep these arrangements) to share a room with her 13 year old half brother? When she could potentially have her own room instead? Okay, agree to disagree.

If you have the space and the means there is absolutely no reason kids of opposite sexes / with huge age gaps should be sharing a living space. It doesn’t ‘equate to debauchery’ by any means, it just logically makes a lot more sense for everybody. I feel the same way about Lilia / Addie sharing. They shouldn’t if they don't have to. Even just think about it in terms of closet space - Lilia and Addie had to share a closet at the old house with clothes of completely mismatched sizes. If you're matched age-wise + with someone that wears similar clothes to you, you can have a combined closet easily.

In my hypothetical floor plan Lilia, Addie, and Landen all have their own rooms and big Caden also has his own room when he comes (if that’s what he wants.) Landen and Tommy can get bumped to the twins room on the rare occasion that Caden and Tommy are in town so that Caden can have his own space - I don’t think that’s asking a lot. Tommy asked to share with the twins, so he would probably prefer that setup. I don't think anyone would see that as 'shoving them all into one room' - it's what they wanted.

Also if thehy went with this setup there could be a spare bed in the Caden / Landen room for Tommy if he’d prefer to sleep there too…. in which case the 4 rooms would be Lilia / Addie / Caden+Tommy / Kyson+Kaden+Landen during the times all 7 are there. This makes the most sense logistically to me in terms of everyones needs.

Remember also when she made a big deal that Landen had to have his own room (even though was still sleeping in Jess/Chris room) because of the other kids having school? In some states it’s illegal for siblings of opposite genders to share a room after a certain age. Rarely ever enforced though unless something bad happened.

Why did she buy new beds for the girls (I know she's returning them now). Didn't they just get that bunk bed in Lilia's not long ago? Is that going in the dumpster now? Right? That house would be a perfectly fine house if Mimi and Glen would just not move in. Every kid would have their own room, and messs and scooby would have a suite for themselves. Problem solved.

There's a "study" downstairs that they were going to use as another bedroom (which would be the one for T&C), because with two living rooms downstairs they didnt really need that space as a study.
She has also said and its been mentioned here multiple times that Mimi and Glen living with them isn't permanent. I imagine once maybe the twins get to their teens (so 5ish years), that they will be gone lol
I would assume once teenage Lilia gets pregnant, her and her baby daddy will get the downstairs suite and addie and landon will get their own rooms, or the two rooms in the suite will become two bedrooms.

I was revising the floor plans, this house had an option to be a 7b house!!! She would have to sacrifice the dining room, but she doesn't have one and is always bragging about not using a table (?) They eat in the kitchen anyways. She should transform the house into a 7b and each kid would have their own space

On her instastories she showed Tommy and Caden at their house. Is she crazy? Why would she have the kids there while she moves? She should send the boys to their dads, Lilia to her dads, Addie to Janell's, and let Tommy and Caden stay at their mom's while she, Chris, and her parents bust ass and get everything moved to the new house.

Also, I guess it's an unpopular opinion, but I don't think Tommy and Caden need their own rooms. I do think they need a room, but I don't think they're at Jess and Chris's enough to warrant them each having their own room.
