I know Liza’s neighborhood quite well. I would imagine that house will sell for at least $700k (not because of the house - it’s the land). The new owners will tear the house down and will build new. There is a tremendous amount of money in that area. Great schools, every store you could want, and not a lot of crime. Friends of Liza and Alex all have money and some live in houses of $1 million and up. A friend of mine who lives a few blocks away bought a split level house built in 1960 for $875k and then proceeded to immediately put $150k renovations (cash) into the house all while renting a house during renovations. I have a friend who is a friend of Alex and Liza...trust me the money is there. I imagine Alex at least makes $250,000 a year? And no debt. Clearing $16,000 a month after taxes. Now all of that said, you are right. Something probably will happen. And taking 2 years to build is a long time. As for moving away from family..ehh, I don’t know how well they will deal with that. But they will make friends easily. Trust me....they like to “party”.

Lol remember the time Liza got drunk and posted weird Instagram story videos of propane tanks? I think that tells you she’s kind of a loner at parties lol.

I hate horsehair Liza, however, it makes sense for the timeline. She said 6 months to a year to make sure they like the area and then they’ll start building. So the building process is only about a year which IMO isn’t bad for a fully custom house.
Not sure how she got Alex to agree though.
Maybe he’s showing her pictures of a house on google and they’re actually moving into a 2 bedroom bungalow to save money

She would have just put party if it was a regular party. "party" pushes towards a different kind of thing like being swingers or into drugs. I wouldn't be surprised if they are swingers at allRiverRose wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 11:33 amThey like to party? Seems like they like to sit around all day and do nothing...? I would. She is super boring and basic. They never leave the house. The only person she ever sees outside of her children is her mom, and that includes Alex lol.LisaLulu22 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 1:42 pmShe would have just put party if it was a regular party. I can’t even get thru a vlog of hers anymore. Now all we are gonna hear is how she needs help y’all, she needs help to pick out all the new stuff for their imaginary home. She has been saying they were moving for YEARS and it’s always fell through. Now she wants us to believe they are buying a new home plus land to build their “dream home”. I’ll believe it when I see it, until then I think it is horse shit

It would be smarter for them to stay in the Maryland home and build the house in NC. This other house they bought doesn’t make much sense unless they plan on renting it out.
The entire thing sounds super flighty and just stupid considering their entire family and life is in Montgomery county.
She better be ready to not have any support system. As someone who has no support system and was a single mom for 4.5 years she better be prepared to not have mommy come to the rescue when she needs a break or someone to take over. Especially when she wants that 3rd kid

I notice her house in MD is still not up for sale. Wonder what they're waiting for.

Maybe they’re keeping it as a rental?
Did she say in her video if they paid cash for their new house and lot? If so, that is pretty impressive that they own three properties with no mortgages. Alex is super weird but I give him
props for that.

I still don’t believe they are moving. I’m gonna have to see it to believe it. She has claimed they were moving for years. Gonna have to see some action first. Something always seems to come up or something happens where their plans fall through.

That video about how they are debt free was so vague. hey guys separate your wants from your needs and you’re good to go. No tips on saving or how many payments a year he made on the mortgage. I did a quick skip through so maybe I missed something important

Re: Liza Adele: Wife to a cheapskate, obsessed with a moving date | Part 2
I actually thought what Alex said was very informative. I also paid my debt off (mortgage) as a single mom. Worked my ass off. But his point is simply - think of money in terms of time time and money are always going to be correlated. I do hope they go into specifics later like she said.
With that said I have to laugh at how frivolous her spending is bits are. Yes - you pay of debt and yes you need to have enjoyment and have a set amount on that enjoyment but wouldn’t you want that to be experiences???? I would be curious to know how Alex feels about Liza’s frivolous spending habits.

What Alex said is vague but it makes sense. My family is also not in debt and I pretty much follow the principles he outlined.
Liza clearly isn't spending as frivolously as y'all are thinking if being debt free and essentially owning three properties while living comfortably with two kids is their reality.
Gotta give some credit where credit is due.

And they will likely get close to $700k when they sell their house in Maryland.Kship wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 7:36 pm What Alex said is vague but it makes sense. My family is also not in debt and I pretty much follow the principles he outlined.

I am not sure I totally agree but I’m also someone who spends money on experiences and not material items. Liza would prefer to drop money on nails and hair whereas I’d put that money towards a vacation. Liza and Alex have already said they don’t plan on going on vacations for a while. Sorry but that’s something I will never understand.Kship wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 7:36 pm What Alex said is vague but it makes sense. I am also in the camp of believing preschool these days is a good investment both educationally and socially. They would rather eat out every Friday, Saturday and Sunday than put Camden in preschool a couple days a week to get him socialized and kept busy.
So yes personally I think she spends frivolously.
I became completely debt free making 45,000 a year(I make way more now) but I was a single mom to 2 living in the vicinity of where Liza lives. They are both from the Bethesda/Potomac area so both have an upper hand in being brought up in very upper middle class families.
Re: Liza Adele: Wife to a cheapskate, obsessed with a moving date | Part 2
I listened to the budgeting video waiting for some kind of amazing tips or some wisdom at least and I found it to be extremely basic. Even condescending. So you live within your means and you can be financially free?! WOOOW earth shattering! Still doesn’t explain how you paid your mortgage off so fast. Betcha he had an inheritance or a leg up from his folks of something.
I had to unfriend an aquaintance on FB who when covid hit started preaching about debt and savings and how glad he is to be debt free. They had just gotten back from a trip to Hawaii and I know for a fact they had been living off a good sized inheritance.
I’m sure Alex makes good money but also they are accumulating wealth at what expense? No traveling, no preschool, ugly ass house.... I’d rather not a scrimp and save every last penny and not enjoy myself while we are young. Something could take you out before you even get to live.

Yup exactly what I said above. They both grew up on the Bethesda/Potomac area. They both come from money. I moved to PA in 2015 because ultimately we couldn’t afford to live there long term. But they definitely didn’t do this on their own - there’s no way.Deceased wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2020 7:45 am I listened to the budgeting video waiting for some kind of amazing tips or some wisdom at least and I found it to be extremely basic. Even if they bought their house for $500k (which sounds low for the area but idk just throwing numbers out) with an interest free mortgage (which doesn’t exist lol) that’s $100k/ yr for 5 years to pay off. I mean if Alex is raking in $250k/yr sure that’s plausible. But doesn’t make you qualified to give financial advice to regular people making $50k/year.JeasicaA71184 wrote:Yup exactly what I said above. They both grew up on the Bethesda/Potomac area.
