I'm more inclined to believe they're running into money issues and so Jared finally gave in to moving.... possibly it's cheaper down there (at least cheaper than the ice palace?) And they might've sold the land

Remember back in 2016 when they claimed their house was worth 1 million dollars because of all the upgrades and furnishings? I don’t think they’ll get more than 400-450k (maybe 500k at the most)

It is actually a sellers market and things are going for asking if sometimes not over asking price. I bet you they will get a fair price however they’re going to be paying that much more for a new house.

It is actually a sellers market and things are going for asking if sometimes not over asking price. I bet you they will get a fair price however they’re going to be paying that much more for a new house.

They have all really beat the house up so it needs work for only being four years old. Plus there are some quirks about it that are likely to work against them. The weird shower in the garage, no master bathroom door, the toilet in the laundry room and of course the rock quarry. Nicer lots are still available in their area for around $$110k. That’s going to hurt their price point because few people will purchase used if they can justify building new for the same price.

I’m guessing they get around $450k based on the estimates, but wouldn’t be surprised if they got less either.

I know it seems to be the style in Utah but I would personally never want to live in a house where the majority of the family living space and bedrooms are in the basement. I hate their layout.

It seems to a common theme with youtubers that they think if I do this or that I'll finally be happy. If I buy a bigger house, have another baby, move somewhere else, buy this elaborate toy....blah blah blah. Happiness doesn't come from the outside, it comes from the inside. Until Ellie deals with her mental health issues no amount of moving, homes, or babies are ever going to make her happy. This whole idea that they can move and it's going to fix Ellie is just absurd.

That house has a lot of space, but it's very cheaply put together. Vinyl flooring all throughout and cheap ass builder carpet. The cabinets look cheap and the mirrors in the bathrooms are already dated! That house already needs much needed upgrading, plus the yard is a wreck!

E&J’s house needs work now too. The fireplace hearth is really beat up, there are dents in the garage walls, and the carpeted areas have stains. My point was that a lot of people looking in that price range would rather purchase new and work their way up, than pay another $100k for something they still need to fix up or change.

The yard needs a lot of work but it’s untouched. You can make it look spectacular for a lot less than the $100k difference and have a far more usable space.

Plus this house has upstairs bedrooms instead of basement ones. I still say it’s comparable. I think E&J built their dream house, but I don’t know if it’s what most Utah families would be looking for.

I totally agree with a post that says it is all about control and Ellie wants to isolate everyone!!!! She is so gleefully vengeful each time she makes a decision for the whole family! And since when does she care about the weather that much she grew up there!? I think her fall out with Bonnie is a way to get back at everyone! Even at the reunion you could see they were not as they were all over each other! I think she wants away from Bonnie too!!!!
Bonnie had in the last few years constantly found excuses to go over every chance she got! Even using Bollie and the land as an excuse and Jared spending time withJoel just won’t do because that would mean less attention on Ellie and her numerous fictional ailments!!!! There was even a vlog where Bonnie walked in as Ellie was out the shower apologising profusely but you could hear Ellie’s irritation! Bonnie was cramping her style and getting too clingy!!!!
I think Ellie is immature enough to do all this to get back at Bonnie as well!!!

I 100% think they are moving due to financial reasons. They can’t really move to a less expensive house in the same city with an open explanation so moving hours away to warmer weather is justifiable to them. Of course Jared cried. I would love to see Ellie go back to being a hair dresser and Jared work the desk at Verizon.

I definitely think daily migraines would be debilitating and have a huge impact on quality of life. I had migraines for the first time late into my first pregnancy and it was definitely eye-opening to me in terms of how debilitating it is- mine were accompanied by nerological side-effects like difficulty speaking, short term memory loss, blurred vision, etc. I seriously thought I was having a stroke the first time it happened. I called my doctor and told my husband to come home so he could take me in. BUT once my gynecologist explained what it was and gave me some options, I calmed down. If it had continues at a high rate, or anything resembling daily, I would have gotten in with a neurologist.

What is so perplexing to me about Ellie is that she can't seem to stick to an ailment and follow through with that doctor, that diagnosis, or that treatment plan. She supposedly has hypothyroidism, but then suddenly wasn't seeing her endocrinologist or taking her medication for years, despite infertility issues and miscarriage. She was convinced she had a hormone imbalance, and even invited her "doctor" (read: chiripractor) on their podcast, and then suddenly he's gone. Sees another doctor for this hormone issue who is an actual MD who got her back on her thyroid medication? She was extremely defensive over scary weight loss and insistent that nothing was wrong, despite breaking down crying in her doctor's parking lot and not having the energy to walk up the stairs, only to go on to post before and after photos once she's able to get to a healthy weight thanks to hormone doctor #2? Then she decides her copper IUD is poisoning her and goes to a frickin ER to have it removed rather than making an appointment. Now she's been suffering from migraines for years, and is only just now seeing a nerologist and getting a diagnosis? And before that, she pays for an out of pocket MRI. I'm sure I'm missing other instances of whacky behavior and lack of follow through I don't know if it's just lack of intelligence or narcissism, but I think a combination of both causes her to doctor shop and prevents her from getting real help.

With this being the cost of homes they will never get back what they invested in it but hopefully they have paid in full for all the extras so they can at least pay off their mortgage and have a large down payment.To me this probably is what is killing Jared. I remember saying this would happen at the time because we knew Ellie would not stay there because it only makes logical sense to spend so much extra coin if it is your forever home.

Also with this the cost of homes I don’t understand why Bonnie and Joel haven’t moved to a bigger home that will fit their family better.
