The one thing I’ve always given Jess credit for is her editing. I think overall she’s one of the better editors as far as family vloggers go. With that being said, I’m so extremely disappointed with her moving vlogs. She was going on and on last week about all the content that was coming and all we’ve gotten is the very bare minimum. Vlog every few days and each one is only like 10-15 minutes. She really could have capitalized off these moving vlogs. Pack with me, purging the house, moving day, unpacking, etc. and instead it seems she’s just doing her usual all over the place vlogs and clickbaiting all the wrong things. I personally would be more interested in watching her unpacking and decorating/organizing the new house then watch her give her children watches. I just don’t understand why she’s being so lazy with all of this. I get she’s busy, but this is her job... it’s so much more relatable to watch moving vlogs then spending that much money to get your kids watches. Most people don’t have the luxury of moving into a new home and that’s their sole focus. Most people have to work a 9 to 5 and then go home and pack. She doesn’t realize how lucky she is.

I agree 100%. Her vlogs are messy, clickbate and sooo boring. Even more so than usual. She could have done a lot better.

And they both see their kids (even though Jess likes to pretend Drake hasn’t ever seen the boys). I’m not sure if they’re having Tommy and Caden fly back and forth, but if not, they’ve just added another hour on top of an already long drive.

I think if the dads get them they will get them more for entire weekend vs one night). But I also wonder if this was Jess way to not have them go there, I doubt she will be driving them back to Modesto. They have said T & C will fly in.

I’m not surprised but I’m mad. She (and they) have a large, impressionable audience that are getting the idea from her that social distancing, masking and being cautious and responsible are not important at this time. That is so aggravating. All of these influencers with hundreds, thousands or millions of people watching their every move have a responsibility to put out the correct information and act accordingly.

It really annoys me with Jess in particular because in the beginning of COVID she was very holier-than-thou “you all better stay inside so I can gEt BaCk tO DiSnEyLaNd” and crying about how her kids hadn’t left the house in months. And that wasn’t even true at that point - we knew she was seeing her brother and other family and was driving the kids to places. And now she’s completely backed off her original statements and is pretending COVID doesn’t exist. So I get annoyed with Hess because she’s a hypocrite.

Actually, in the beginning she was going on about it being 'just a flu' that everyone was freaking out about for no reason.

Thank you! It just seriously puzzles me how she can think this is good content? Her vlogs have changed SO much throughout the years. You could tell she used to really take her time to edit and try to give interesting content and now it just all seems over edited in order to get a video out fast so she can collect a better paycheck. I'll admit I used to really like Jess and even going back and watching old videos its just so obvious how much she has changed. It really is true that once people hit a million subscribers they stop caring about their actual content and care more about the money. Even when they moved into the Modesto house, she led us through a lot of the process once they announced they were moving. Granted I know there was more to show since they fixed a lot like painting and the changing the carpets and this house was ready to move into right away, but I still feel like there could have been so much more to show. I'd rather watch a longer video with actual interesting and relatable topics rather then a ten minute video that spans over two days and is hardly shows anything. I mean hell even when they were couch shopping..we saw what like a minute of them shopping? and then the rest was a montage of the kids dancing. I'm sorry but thats just not what I care to spend my time watching and I think majority of us would feel the same.

Not defending amber but I think she has said in the past she has asthma or other breathing issues (which is why she coughs in videos often). Its possible she can't wear one.

If a person is too ill to wear a mask, they are too ill to be in public. Especially because COVID is highly damaging to the respiratory system. My husband has asthma and he still wears a mask every time he leaves the house (which is only like once a week or less at the moment.) Also, stores should be enforcing the manadatory mask policy because especially with a large corporation like target, delivery and curbside are available so again, there is no reason a person without a mask should be in the store.

This year my seasonal allergies were out of control, and I developed a weird wheeze. A wheeze that is worse when I wear a mask. A wheeze that led to my doctor putting my through Covid testing numerous times and a pulmonary function test, which lead to a diagnosis of allergy induced asthma.

I still wear the damn mask anytime I have to go out. It isn’t for me, it’s for everyone else.

Numerous doctors have come out and said you would have to be extremely ill and have very bad asthma that is uncontrolled by meds for a mask to affect you.

If you don’t want to wear a mask, don’t make up excuses and claim it’s asthma or something else. These dumb bitches have a responsibility to the people who watch their content.

hi all, long time lurker here, generally I actually enjoy Jess’ videos even though I can see so many flaws in her. the other day I responded to her instagram story asking why she’d celebrate the 4th of July (my thought process was how can you support BLM and celebrate the 4th?) and I’ve been blocked I don’t really know how to feel and I also don’t get why she couldn’t have a conversation with me about her why she would be celebrating? I’ve never been blocked by a “creator” before lol

She obviously didn’t like you pointing that out. She’s just jumping on the BLM bandwagon cuz it’s the “in” thing to do right now.

The same way she claims she supports the LGBTQ+ community and all of her kids each have to fit a specific gender role. She does it to look good.

I'm over the mask talk but I used asthma as an example. My point is even these counties making it mandatory and fining people all that person being fined has to say is its medical. Even on their "who doesn't have to wear a mask" they list medical conditions. One of my foster kids, a teenager technically has to wear a mask but he is fidgety as it is, having something on his face is not happening. So all I am saying is I do understand why someone might not have them and I refuse to be a non-mask shamer for those reasons.

It was/is no surprise as they already weren't social distancing. I'm not shocked they didn't follow any guidelines. Amber did have a mask on in her thumbnail today about getting a job.

I feel like Jess and Chris are in a good phase right now. I mean of course social media isn’t real life but in any long term relationship you have ups and downs, good periods and bad ones ... they do seem to be happy right now. Moving into the new house probably helps. Easy to feel super in love when everything is going good.

So Jessss is saying in her video that they don’t have a HOA but they do have a Mello Roos tax. She then says that all new builds in CA have a Mello Roos tax. That’s so untrue! Seems she’s just trying to justify paying that expensive added tax.

(Mello-Roos is most often used to create infrastructure or support services in and around new developments. It takes some of the burden off the developers’ costs but it’s not required at all.)

It just gets me how she spouts her mouth off like she’s so knowledgeable. Yet she couldn’t even describe what a HOA is.

In the past she made it seem like that was the developers not the city and the people around there rent the picnic shelters, if it is for everyone around there then that is going to be tough to book every weekend for her parties lol.

The generations on my family are all spread out at least 30 years so it’s weird for me to think about how Jess’s mom is under 55 (in reference to her living in a 55+ trailer park)

Maybe that’s where the Mello-Roos kicks in.... for that park. My son and his fam looked at a development near her area called River Islands. It had nice parks, trails, new fire station, etc. But when they saw it had Mello-Roos, they said no, and bought a new home nearby.... with no Mello-Roos, or HOA. (And it has a park. Not a fancy one, but with big grassy area, a tot-lot and basketball court.)
