I find it hard to believe they don't have an HOA if the homeowners have the park? In the past she made it seem like that was the developers not the city and the people around there rent the picnic shelters, if it is for everyone around there then that is going to be tough to book every weekend for her parties lol.

Also once again she's needing the yard done right now. Doubt she got 3 quotes, probably got one and will go with it.

Maybe that’s where the Mello-Roos kicks in.... for that park. My son and his fam looked at a development near her area called River Islands. It had nice parks, trails, new fire station, etc. But when they saw it had Mello-Roos, they said no, and bought a new home nearby.... with no Mello-Roos, or HOA. (And it has a park. Not a fancy one, but with big grassy area, a tot-lot and basketball court.)

Makes sense. I think the developer mentions the park on their website so that's why I thought it probably had an HOA. If its not owned by the city someone has to take care of it.

I think Mimi and her husband will spend the majority of the Summer with Jess and once school starts I think they’ll start to see them less and less. Especially with COVID Mimi shouldn’t be traveling to and from Jess’s house every weekend, she’s just going to spread the germs from one city to the next. I don’t see Mimi driving there after school on Fridays in afternoon traffic.

Jess says that her parents stay locked in the suite most of the time, separated from the rest of them unless it’s family time, and then two minutes later she says she gets along great with her parents and they all love living together.

The generations on my family are all spread out at least 30 years so it’s weird for me to think about how Jess’s mom is under 55 (in reference to her living in a 55+ trailer park)

I'm guessing they now regret their decision and remember what it was like before she moved into the last house when she took over (ahem ruined) Mimi's house

Hobby Lobby is a disgusting company, they have big ties to the FLDS and Warren Jeffs and protect child marriage. I literally cackled when I saw on the news that Disney cancelled their Halloween party. I bet she complained to their customer service, Jesss seems like a Karen.

Especially if more counties have COVID checkpoints. Before cases were surging certain areas in Florida had checkpoints for COVID and my MIL was telling my SIL who was coming to go to the beach a route to avoid it (I don't see the harm in the checkpoints ). Mimi won't be able to travel with her job I feel like any school won't like her traveling an hour away during a pandemic just because her daughter can't grow up and parent on her own.

Mimi usually camps in the summer. I assume the move and covid (campgrounds are open here but shower houses and bathrooms are closed). So I don't even see her really being there in the summer. Jess also keeps mentioning her moms job but did Glenn sell his company? If not most of his clients are probably in the Modesto area.

Can you imagine her getting them to the bus stop, I would assume that's what they do in subdivisions (I live in a rural area so I don't know how subdivisions work with buses). She's the type that would blame the bus driver for leaving and not waiting on her kids if they are late.

I find it very surprising that their school system is opened for normal classes in the fall. I’m on the college level (Cal State system) and 95% of the courses in the fall are online.

Orange County is also on its second wave of quarantine. Maybe it’s different up north, but it seems quite surprising.

I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't change depending on numbers. I know our school district said no decision until end of July. Yet a school district next to us was doing 2 days in school and rotating kids for classroom learning and then remote learning (so less kids in class). A university here is doing online, the elementary is 2nd to 5th but know the kindergarten/1st keeping a mask on is unlikely so those kids are remote.

It’s the same in NorCal: districts are working hard to find a solution, whether it be a hybrid situation, alternating days, etc. And they’re all different depending on needs. It’s crazy, right?!
