Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
I get dizzy watching her videos. When she was talking about the "family compound" she was basically spinning in circles. You have an entire fucking shed as an office sit down for 5 seconds to talk to the camera. It's so annoying. After all these years youd thinking youtubers could get a handle in things! They do it to when trying to show something like decor or a haul..angie was moving the camera all around when showing the pergola as well.ugh. I'm dizzy
Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
It makes sense that since they’ve perfected everything they can on their house, down to the door locks, it’s boring now and they want to move out. I hope they take their kids’ opinions into account with a possible move, this wouldn’t just be a new house but a new way of living. If my parents came to me at 8 years old with that idea, I would have cried for days. Solitude and farm living is great if you’re old enough to enjoy it, but kids want friends and community. Unless you were born into it, but I don’t think this is fair to their kids.

Forgot to add, I held my breath for a minute when they talked about their only consideration in a huge move was Rosie. I hoped/thought for sure they were going to say they wanted to still be close to classes and resources for her. But nope, the consideration was regarding the home build, possibly including an adult child suite for her when she becomes an adult. I hope this sweet girl isn’t destined for a lonely life in her parents’ house, working on a farm.

What about Angie’s sister Ashleigh? I wonder how she feels about Their parents moving with Angie but not being part of it all?

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
I can almost guarantee that this is Angie's way of one-upping Ashleigh working on her backyard and her garden. Angie looks so ridiculous with her hotdog lips and eyelash extensions talking about moving to a damn farm. Her eNnEgRaM sEvEn ass will only last on a farm if she hires a full staff to do the upkeep for them. THEY DON'T EVEN GARDEN OR DO THEIR OWN LAUNDRY.Freecali wrote:What about Angie’s sister Ashleigh? Yeah, I think it’s more about an acreage and room/space away from people than homesteading/farming.haterade wrote:I can almost guarantee that this is Angie's way of one-upping Ashleigh working on her backyard and her garden. I wonder about the financial side of her parents are going in with them and how this impacts her siblings down the road.

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
Anyone else think she might have like a compulsive disorder? Like she jumps from one idea to another and it's always big life changes. I feel like CR is scared to tell her no. Granted she has talked about moving for a little while but not like this and she's mentioned traveling and foster care and remodeling every room and horses and the list just keeps going. I love big dreams and relate to the ennegram 7 like her but even for me she's too much all over the place.

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
Yes, last year she said that they were moving to somewhere in Africa for at least 6 months this year. I know Covid happened but she just jumps from one thing to the next. It seems a little off to be listing your house for sale when you don't know know what state you want to move to Whatever she decides, i'm sure she'll tell us the same thing twice on both channels to make sure she can pay for it!

3x if her and CR ever get back to the Podcastwasteoftime wrote:Yes, last year she said that they were moving to somewhere in Africa for at least 6 months this year. Speaking of CR- was t he going to start a channel this year? I feel like she needs the control/stardom and won’t let him venture off on his own creative path. Even on the blogs and podcast she inserts and lets us know what he actually meant to say.
I’m curious how much of her personality is driven by natural instinct vs big changes = more views, vs upstaging whomever.
I’m very curious how her sister feels about her and their parents going in on this together esp when it seems she’s slowing down in the social media side of things

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
I would be interested in seeing how much they put their house up for. Angie SCREAMS like the kinda person to me that would price their house super high, not be able to sell it and complain.
I think that this move will be a net positive for the kids. It is a disruption, yes, but they will have two additional adults that can care for them. Each of them will get more one on one time.

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
I feel like she needs CR to do everything in the house to allow her more time for her own ventures. If he was working on a podcast, Angie would have more kid duty. He seems like a great husband and dad, but I wonder how he honestly feels about putting aside his goals and dreams to allow Angie to follow hers.
In their vlog from a couple days ago, I felt I was seeing them in a more relatable way, with having to pass the four little kids back and forth. It was obvious the older girls were not there to help, it looked like they were barely able to do anything on their list. I was feeling envious back when they were doing the de-clutter videos, when Angie would spend 8 hours a day cleaning every room in the house.
Financially, I guess COVID-19 didn’t affect influencers as much as it could have. A couple months ago they were talking about living frugally and now they’re looking to buy a farm. I also think they’re going about it backwards, they should be looking at different places and narrowing their search. Worry about fixing and selling the house later.

^^ Okay, so I realized I hadn’t finished the whole vlog, they still got all their fix-it work done. I really don’t know how they do it without the older girls watching the three little ones for at least 3 hours or more a day.

I have 6 kids and most days have another adult around to help + we homeschool.Tweedles3 wrote:^^ Okay, so I realized I hadn’t finished the whole vlog, they still got all their fix-it work done. I could never get so much done! I’m an efficient person and we have great systems in our home but it’s a LOT of work everyday
I want to be envious of their families ability to get stuff done but I’m convinced we don’t see the entire picture. They have more help or let more slide than is apparent
It’s possible they do everything and don’t let stuff slide- but I think odds are against it

She also read 5 FIVE books in June .....like how?
It took me all month to watch on two hour movie.
Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
True. I assumed they were “read” via audiobook even if she had a physical copy. She usually has headphones on.Wylee wrote:Freecali wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 2:49 pmI have 6 kids and most days have another adult around to help + we homeschool.Tweedles3 wrote:^^ Okay, so I realized I hadn’t finished the whole vlog, they still got all their fix-it work done. I also assume the book thing is important to further her place as an author.
That said yeah, I do good to keep up with homeschool and a cleanish house. No way I can declutter, do major projects, travel, read 5 books, prep to move, film and edit 2 YouTube channels and an occasional podcast on top of it.
I have no doubt Angie is organized, motivated, and full of energy. Even accounting for that and CR I don’t get how it’s all done.

Man she sure is milking this move already. She realized it will be a long time (if ever) until they can adopt again so the next best cash cow is a move

Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
Are we going to talk about her cop out "response" to the Stauffer scandal?
Re: ThisGatheredNest | Part 2
I give her a pass on her response to the Stauffer situation.
I don’t see it as a “scandal”. I see the public making judgements with a complete lack of information (myself included because we just don’t know details).
It’s one thing to snark on minor issues but this was a life altering event and to my knowledge the details of Huxley’s situation have been kept private. We know he has autism but we don’t know more.
I have an acquaintance whose son was a psychopath. They had to give their son to the state for the safety of their other children.
They protected him and told very few people the full story. I have a background in behavioral health and helped them navigate the aftermath. It was NOT an easy decision and it was made harder by other folks not understanding the history of the situation.
I can’t defend all of the Stauffer family actions, but I applaud Angela for not dragging herself into it.
She has long advocated for going into adoption with open eyes and has made it clear there are hard things to work through.
If Angela involved herself it would not help Huxley and from where Angela is she can continue to advocate for going into adoption with eyes wide open.
