I don’t understand why she can pack a swim top and swim pants for camping, but couldn’t pack the same for their weekend with their dad?

Sunscreen is so important, but 90% of that skin would have been covered with a swim top if she had of packed it for them. She has multiple sets for the kids, as she showed Landen picking between 2 different ones.

This is why I’m curious about their actual communication. This is why I am on the fence about the idea of he was seeing them before she decided to reveal it.

If they have been staying the night for so long, why don’t they have clothes there? Tommy and Caden don’t come with clothes anymore. And I’m sure the girlfriend who also has kids would also be able to speak up and mention that the kids need swim clothes and sunscreen. (Not blaming her if she didn’t though because some people respect boundaries, unlike Jess).

If they have a set schedule like this, he needs to start buying clothes and having it for them there. After a while, it shouldn’t be Jess having to pack all of their essentials for them to go over or he could have communicated to Jess that he planned to have a fun outside day activity with the boys. And it’s also on her to make sure her children have everything they need, specially since this is a father who has supposedly be in and out of their lives. She said he was struggling financially, she should be sending clothes or trying to help out more if she wants this relationship to work. And even if it doesn’t, and he decides to stop seeing them again, at least she tried and wasn’t being petty for YouTube views.

She called it gel earlier in the video with Landon, but when Kyson calls it gel she suddenly insists that it's cream.

Also, toward the end when she was putting aloe vera on the boys, Kyson claimed he was burnt the worst and Jesss immediately claimed "LANDON COULDN'T EVEN WEAR A SHIRT." before saying it wasn't a contest.

I agree with what everyone is saying.

It’s absolutely horrible that Drake didn’t put sunscreen on the kids. That’s basic parenting and those burns looked like they hurt.

But it’s absolutely awful for Jess to put that online. For one thing, it’s just not appropriate. They’re still in the process of building a coparenting relationship. Jess has every right to be pissed about this one - but she should be talking to Drake directly.

It’s also just so awful to profit off your children’s pain.

I think it's awful that none of the adults put sunscreen on the children, but I think it's hypocritical of Jess to act like it's a horrible thing to have happened when she's done it countless times. Her children would have already had a couple of sun burns this year if it weren't for the pandemic. Poor Addie was red the entire Florida trip.

Exactly, if Jess had mentioned it briefly and moved on, people would say "I hope the boys feel better soon, those look like they hurt." But instead Jess had to make a show of it. She brought it up repeatedly, she titled and thumbnailed the video after it. She went on and on that she couldn't believe no one put sunscreen on them, when Addie has had a bad sunburn every summer she's been alive. Was it a fail on Drake's part? Absolutely. But Jess is so damn obnoxious and hypocritical. If parenting is so hard, like the meme she posted says, why not cut Drake some slack?

Personally, I would be inclined to say the twins are old enough to know that they need to wear sunscreen outside and to put it on themselves, BUT they should have been verbally reminded and shown where it is. Landen, I would argue, is still a bit young and would need it actually applied for him. It probably *is* a case of Drake not burning much himself, but I'm very surprised his partner didn't pick up on it either.

And honestly the reason I haven't even watched the video yet is from how disgusted I was at Jess' thumbnail. She truly has no shame.

I don’t think anyone is dismissing Messs’ feelings, I think we all agree that Drake was in the wrong for not applying sunscreen on the boys. I think what doesn’t sit well with most of us is the fact that they milk it for the camera and even includes it in the title. She’s constantly throwing digs at Drake on camera while claiming she’s trying to co parent. Again, we all know Drake is not a saint, but neither is Jesss. Why is it that Natalie and Drake can co parent?

Drake (his girlfriend and mom as well) should have absolutely put sunscreen on them. I think everyone agrees about that.

What I don't agree with is there are some things she doesn't have to show. Or like others have said just mention it, say you mentioned it to Drake (you know as most that coparent would do) and move on. Instead you make an entire vlog about it, you get multiple digs in about it. Sunburns hurt but watch how she touches Landen before the crying starts not to mention even including that in the vlog. That's what I take issue with. So he's seeing the boys now, but its vlog material for her so she can still look like a saint.

If she wants to be mature just co parent, bring it up with him and move on. If,that was Lilia I don't think she would have done an entire vlog.

Also her asking the boys on camera if they want to go back. Why?

My husband is dark-skinned like Gabe and doesn’t burn easily, but our two granddaughters are light-skinned like Jess and Addie so they burn. When we watch them, we take them to the beach or park often and yes, they have gotten sunburned on our watch, at first. (Never severe like the JesssKids.) So now my DIL reminds us to put sunscreen on the girls. We’d probably remember but we respect their mom’s reminders, appreciate them and don’t take offense. They’re 8 and 6 and wouldn’t remember to apply it so I don’t think her boys would either IMO.

What bothered me the most is how many times she brought up the no sunscreen situation. I think just one time mentioning it in the vlog was enough. I would be a little upset as well. Save those conversations for when the camera is off. It’s like she knows her views will go up if there’s drama.

Also she keeps bringing it up to the kids in a negative way that their dads house and going there is BAD! Yes the sunburn was terrible and I feel bad for the kids that it happened. But the way Jess was acting its like she will use it against the kids the next weekend that is Drake's so they won't want to go.

If Jess didn't have rashguards for them the way she sprays the sunscreen and doesnt reapply I would bet the boys would look that way with her too.

I'm fine with her showing it on camera for content and being mad. That's how she makes money anyway. But it is horrible to play with kids psyche. She didnt have to ask if they had fun and will go back again when they are in pain. She has to make up her mind whether she wants Drake involved or not.

I do not buy this fake facade that Jess is this peaceful cooperative coparent, just trying to do what’s best for her kids. Putting this sort of thing online for the world to see, is the exact opposite of that. This is a very personal, private situation between the boys and Drake and using it for views is going to further damage their relationship with him. Maybe that’s what she wants. Then, she can say she “tried”, get sympathy from her followers and gain views in the meantime airing the drama.

This is a good point. I think it’s safe to say that NO, she would not be ok with it. “Wow boys, I’m so sorry you have to travel so far away to see your father who sits at home all day while his wife exploits you on YT. Do you really want to go over there? Are you sure? Is it fun there? No really, do you want to visit your dad? Look at the camera boys!”
