Sorry for the double post, but maybe Ruby will let Shari do regular school, while all the other kids suffer at home school with Ruby. We all know Ruby's reasoning for that would be, "Well I already spent the money and time to make the school room so you guys have to be homeschooled." Even if none of the kids asked her to do it in the first place.emma2948 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 11:51 amCame here to mention this, on Ruby's insta stories, she makes it pretty clear that she's gonna be homeschooling the kids (in which case, they are all screwed, we know how absent Ruby is about her children's education). But I'm just wondering whether or not she even gave her kids the choice of going to a regular public school vs doing homeschooling (if they really can't afford private school this year). Honestly, I'm guessing Ruby didn't really give them a choice, especially considering how much the kids would hate having to spend that much time with her at home. Also, didn't Shari say in one of the older school quarantine vlogs that she wasn't a fan of online school (at home) How is Ruby gonna keep Shari at home (for her senior year for goodness sake) if we know Shari is the only one Ruby listens to?sheltiefan wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 11:42 am Well looks like Ruby is going to home school the kids-this should be very interesting! lol Hope Ruby does better with this than the virtual learning last semester! She didn't know that Eve was staying for the whole class, didn't know that Abby had a D in her math class, etc. As Ruby said, her Ruby Do office will be her schoolhouse!
Chad may have said no on the birthday vlog, but I kind of doubt Ruby would give him the option if she wanted one. Plus as we now know, his birthday was during the punishment time period

https://www.instagram.com/p/CDHlxOJD7gV/ I bet Eve and Russell look very comfortable with their masks covering their entire face even their eyes. Those masks are too big for them and they need kid sized masks. I guess they only wear masks when required not because they want to but because they have too. I'm sure ruby thinks COVID is a hoax and won't wear a mask at all. The reason they were complaining about the masks is because they weren't the right size for them but clueless Ruby had no idea about that and could care less how it fits on the kids. Masks are not one size fits all they have masks that are meant for kids.

Ugh homeschooling with Ruby is the last thing these poor kids need.
Either some excuse will be made for Shari to go to a regular school (which won't apply to Chad of course, because just remember how annoyed Ruby was that he chose public school), or she will go along with it because she knows she will get "bullied" (translation: she doesn't know how to get along with people) at regular school.

Re: 8 Passengers: Emotional Abuse Galore & Making Kids Sleep on The Floor | Part 17
Ugh, why, why is she homeschooling? I went back and was watching some of the vlogs back where she was homeschooling Chad and it was ridiculous. She showed his planner in one vlog and he had stuff like - reading from the book of Mormon, praying, writing an essay on the book of Mormon, practicing music, quiet reading time, yoga, etc. There was literally no math, science, history, etc. It was all just religious indoctrination and a little bit of reading/writing and practicing music on his own.
I highly doubt that Shari is going to go along with homeschooling and I actually hope for her sake that she doesn't. It's her senior year. Why in the world would she switch from her private school to being homeschooled for no reason? Just seems like it would complicate things with her transcripts, gpa, and making sure she meets all her requirements to graduate. No student should make that big of change in their last year. And what happened to Chad doing football? They posted so many Instagram pics of him in his jersey and picnicking after training. They're literally going to take away the chance for him to do football again? That kid needs to do sports and extracurriculars. He's got so much energy and athletic skills and has no outlet for it whatsoever.
Abby was already literally failing math and her parents weren't doing anything about it. Eve wasn't attending her classes and Ruby had no idea. Ruby couldn't even print out Eve's homework for her when she did go to class. Russell seems like he can barely read and can't count money. Now she thinks she's going to homeschool all her kids who are in all different grades and have different needs? She doesn't value education whatsoever. Even if she does find an online program for her kids to get schooling from or something, she's going to let them neglect it and throw away their homework because she doesn't want to be bothered with it. She's just going to want them to sit at home and read the bible or the book of mormon for their schoolwork and practice their music and nothing else.

It was too good to be true for Chad, knew he wouldnt end up playing football. I will be surprised if they don't allow Shari to do her senior year at school of choice, you know, cause everything is perfect for Shari, and the excuse will be it's her senior year.rulatows000 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 3:03 pm Ugh, why, why is she homeschooling? I wonder if the kids get the blame fir less money coming in due to less sponsors and the cost are being cut where it affects them. We all know it's Ruby's fault, but she won't take the blame.
Re: 8 Passengers: Emotional Abuse Galore & Making Kids Sleep on The Floor | Part 17
Went onto Shari's insta, and she opened her comments back up again?? Why would she do that? She must have known she would be getting a bunch of comments regarding her screwed up family and a bunch of #SaveChad's thrown in here and there. For her sake, she should just block comments. Even if some people did end up giving her some good advice that she could/should probably take, we all know she'll just group in those helpful comments with the hate comments reegardless of whether or not its hate in the first place.
Re: 8 Passengers: Emotional Abuse Galore & Making Kids Sleep on The Floor | Part 17
Maybe Chad's departure from school is a disgrace to Ruby so she doesn't want to go back to private school. Especially the way he left and his refusal to go back after school wanted to give him another chance.
I believe there is a vlog in which Ruby promises Shari that she may stay in private school until her diploma. So maybe Shari will just stay there for the last year. She can drive herself.
I am only curious to see what they do with Chad because he is having a good time at the school where he is now. Will Ruby take it from him? Probably yes and that would be a pity. As a mother, how can you expect your children to love and respect you if you bother them in every way you can find. And take everything away they like.

Will there be football for Chad to play? Ruby should not homeschool any of her kids, but definitely not anyone over 10.

She'll be their worst nightmare. Can you imagine! No doubt she will be incorporating her therapy lessons. Ruby and Kevin can't be bothered to work additional with their children when they are struggling with a subject, what makes them think the kids will succeed with them at the helm. I hope it is all just talk for many reasons, and the two most important being: a) the kids are already isolated; and b) Ruby doesn't care enough to do the best for her kids' education.Ducklings4 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 3:01 am Will there be football for Chad to play? The number of times these kids has switched schools is crazy. Of course there are some families that are forced to do this because they move around a lot due to a parent’s job. But the Franke’s have essentially been in the same town? They could easily give their kids a nice stable school life, they just choose not to, it’s so ridiculous.

So the cousins come over and it's all about 'food and fun', while Ruby's own kids are sleeping on the floor, not allowed to have friends, not allowed to have more than one drumstick for dinner, and not entitled to entertainment. Wonder what Chad thinks of her telling Boston, "I love you like my own son." Also, where are all the older kids? Lately she's just been showing a lot of Eve and Russell and her and Kevin going all over the place and doing fun things. I guess if the other kids don't want to come that's ok, but I would really like to see Kevin and Ruby taking just the older kids out for a little treat and some quality time. If the little kids get to go to an aquatic park and get ice cream and go to Kevin's workplace, the older kids should get a special day, too.

Did Abby get a D lately in the amazing private school?sheltiefan wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 11:42 am Well looks like Ruby is going to home school the kids-this should be very interesting! lol Hope Ruby does better with this than the virtual learning last semester! Aren't private schools supposed to be better than public schools? Like work to prevent pupils from getting bad grades and help them with academic difficulties?
All that money wasted, just to show off that they could afford it but it didn't do much for her the kids.

Re: 8 Passengers: Emotional Abuse Galore & Making Kids Sleep on The Floor | Part 17
Ruby wants to homeschool because she wants to be that cutesy homeschooling instagram mom. She's got the money and the space to make some sort of painfully instagram-aesthetic homeschool room (maybe she'll even hire an interior decorator) and then she'll be over the actual process of homeschooling within a month and the kids will be on their own. She is too stupid, narcissistic, and negligent to homeschool. She does not care about her kids' education one bit. And we all know she's not doing it because she thinks they'd be unsafe at school - they feel they can't be touched because they believe in god.

It's funny you say this, cause I thought the same thing. Food and entertainment when cousins are there, no wonder the Franke kids like it. However, the Hoellein boys like it, cause they are treated the same way at home as the Franke kids. Very little to eat, and when they get food, it's so random, like the other night Bonnie showed she made squash and some other veggie with it, and I thought, yum, yum, that's all they get too. Or, they get the same soup for 4 nights, til it's all gone; or 1/2 cup of yogurt with honey for breakfast.rulatows000 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 8:59 am So the cousins come over and it's all about 'food and fun', while Ruby's own kids are sleeping on the floor, not allowed to have friends, not allowed to have more than one drumstick for dinner, and not entitled to entertainment. 1) I find it funny that after we've mentioned on here over and over again about Kevin's absent parenting style, he just started to show up in the vlogs (somewhat more regularly).
2) Ruby is looking like more of an idiot then ever when she has a mask on. (TIMESTAMP: 1:18) Doesn't she know that shes supposed to pinch the bridge of the nose of the mask so that it stays on better? Also the bottom right of the mask is crooked, does she need a "How to put on a mask 101" class ??

Does anyone know what happened to Ruby's cousins? Lately all the vlogs (ruby and her siblings) have been about fun cousin time and making memories with cousins like they did as children. Obviously the adults have their youtube friends now, but what happened to those "special bonds" that they made. I know they talk about some aunts and uncle but I've never seen any cousins around their age or at reunions they talk so fondly of.

The woman who refuses to help her children with school work, who doesn’t even check to see if they have done their homework, wants to homeschool all her kids? Ahahahahaha I mean, it doesn’t really matter if the girls are smart and just barely graduate, they are only destined to find a husband at 20 and pop out a bunch of kids.
