For someone who is constantly saying how Cassidy is always throwing up a bunch and has bad reflux WHY ARE THEY LAYING HER FLAT WHILE SHE EATS?! I do not understand her thought process regarding anything to do with feeding this poor baby. And to have her laying down getting her feeding while Alex sleeps! I can’t even believe her, you can’t just sit up awake in your bed for a little bit to supervise this feeding?! Why don’t you hold her while she feeds you know since she did that whole rant about how Cassidy wouldn’t be able to appropriately bond? I guess that doesn’t matter if she could be getting her much needed sleep instead
How do any of us know she was a nicu nurse? Feeding any baby while laying down is a huge nono- unless you want war infects -
And reflux. Seems like common sense.
I was convinced Alex lied about being a RN since she is under educated about EVERYTHING, I thought maybe she was a CNA or something lol. I looked her up, she is truly a RN. Ive said it before... even the nurses who barely pass their boards are nurses. Gee I wonder how Alex did on her boards. And how many times she had to take them to pass.
But was she actually a nicu nurse??. Because from what I’m seeing she hasn’t done one thing right, recommended or by the book. And anyone who has ever had a nicu baby knows how precise, detailed and rigid it is. Really - anyone who has ever had a medically fragile baby knows what nicu life is like and even after. How do any of us know she actually worked in the nicu?? She can’t even get tubes, tapes or basic feeding skills down. Even feeding - ear infections occur when you feed a baby lieing down. Gravity needs to take place when it comes to liquids in the body
I don’t even watch her channel or follow her but it seems her nicu nursing is a lie unless I’m missing something here
No, it hasn't been scheduled yet most likely and it won't be until she's consistently gaining the weight they need her to. She needs to be bigger and stronger.
Actually, the surgery will get scheduled most likely based on cardiac indications. If she's still only 10lbs but needs the surgery at 4 months, that's what will have to happen. Her risk of mortality and morbidity will be higher because of her growth failure.
Yes if her heart gets lots worse they will(hence why I said most likely won't be). But I know with my friend's son as long as his heart was fairly stable, they didn't want to do his surgery until he was a certain size. It's a balancing act because doing surgery on a baby that isn't thriving and growing well adds a significant amount of risk. I should've been more clear.
Maybe Alex is intentionally (albeit subconsciously) trying to delay surgery by putting all these obstacles in the way. Who knows. She's unstable for so many reasons (narcissist, fundie christian obsessed with bearing children and breastfeeding all day, birthing in a natural ocean, sleeping and being lazy, etc...) that it's hard to understand her motives.
She just had a screaming fit on IG stories. How dare unicornio baby pull out her tube AGAIN - while being worn by alex - alex didnt even notice its not placed properly thats why. The tape needs to be higher so she cant get her fingers between her nose and the tube. Miss NICU nurse *should* know that though!

I actually was so shocked to see that screaming fit. She was so frustrated and holding Cassidy. She was literally screaming into her ears. For a moment I was so worried. She tried to soften it but I could tell that she truly was mad.
That instastory makes me so upset. Alex is throwing a tantrum while Cassidy is definitely uncomfortable. It doesn’t matter that Alex is wearing her, she’s still not comforting her, just yelling in her face. I can’t imagine sharing myself being angry at a baby on social media. I would feel like a fool.

Showing her true colors I guess.
The whole “i dont know how she does it” got me... cassidy was literally holding onto the tube with a death grip. She clearly got hold of it and yanked it out. Like doh.
She’s just vile. She really does not deserve that poor sweet baby. I can’t believe she was shouting at such a little baby.
In response to a question above: yes, breast milk adapts its composition all the time and can be more watery at different points. When it’s hot weather, my milk is very watery. It’s the body’s way of making sure the baby is hydrated. However, in the morning you get a lot more milk (especially when baby sleeps through) and I usually find that the first bit is watery, but then it thickens, so it evens out by the end of the pump. Might just be me though.
Its really no wonder shes yanking it out. It shouldnt be placed down over her shoulder and arm. It should be going up beside her ear and out the side instead. Use a clothes peg to peg it onto the side of the basinette. Unplug it when its not in use. Its not normal to leave it attached all night. It needs to be pluged up again, all her stomach contents will run out if its at the right/wrong angle
She is so freaken dense. She seriously just likes to have shit to whinge about.
Oh my gosh cassidys lil cry when Alex was ranting about her pulling the tiling out was so sad like shut up and comfort your baby, she was really upset and Alex and Im assuming Phil didn’t even seem to notice and to me that was not a normal cry anyone else feel the same.”?
A month ago Alex was harping on about how breastfeeding was magic because the distance between the baby's face and mums face is the perfect eye-focus difference. Which incidentally, is EXACTLY the same for bottlefeeding.
But now at night she sets up the pump and goes back to sleep, leaving Cassidy to lie there being tube fed all alone in the dark, having the milk spill all over her for an hour because no one is actually holding her, feeding her, cuddling her....
How sad.
Alex is literally treating her the same way she must have treated all the babies in the NICU when she worked there - totally clinical, no compassion.
I’m not sure if this is right, but I read it as she sets the pump before she goes to bed, so it starts at a certain time. As in she doesn’t even wake up to feed her baby any more, the pump does it for her.

I'm guessing she might've been hungry.I just kept thinking Alex should shut up n feed her
Alex always struck me as someone that has a temper and is super mean to her family - but only off camera. But we've seen a bit of it this year. That vile outburst in the car about the hospital visitor policy, and now again with Cassidy. And she yanked the tube out of Cassidy's hand so hard that it was pulling on the tape stuck to her face.
She's such a horrible person. She must have been the worst type of NICU nurse - a know it all, judgemental and rough.
The reason they could not have a baby without ivf is because they are not capable of taking care of a child. They believe in god...well god was telling them they are not able to care for a baby but they never listen.
I feel really bad for that poor baby

What the? You're just as judgemental and patronising as Alex. Alex doesn't deserve her kids because she's a horrible person, not because god gave her an uncontrollable medical condition (infertility). Five percent of babies are born thanks to fertility treatment. Most of it done in secret and shame because of comments like you just made.
OMG! That story was truly disturbing. The anger is so big for someone that “allegedly has the knowledge to fix the issue without a hick up”
She probably got an earful from the drs when bio didn’t gain as well this past week and now she is going to blame it on other things. Like Cassidy pulling her tube out etc
I understand frustration, I understand exhaustion. BUT. It is never okay to shout when you are carrying your baby right in front of you.
It is normal to have feelings, also negative ones. BUT. When you are feeling frustrated Alex. Please ask Phil to take the baby and go for a time-out to cool yourself down.
I actually thought Alex was mad at the followers questioning her... “you seeeeee! It happens even when I’m right next to her, awake and alert! You seeeee it’s NOT my fault!”
That’s how I read that outburst. But yeah, I agree she has a terrible temper on her, gets annoyed easily. Poor baby.
