Jesss does have medical insurance. Being self-employed she’d have to purchase insurance without help from an employer assisting in the monthly premium (payment). Her insurance could cover 80% -100% of the hospital costs. That’s my best understanding. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

With that said, if any of them COVID, we know what they don’t. It will be bad in many ways. She’s such a fool.

Even 80% (which is what my boyfriend's health insurance from work covers) is still expensive. He was put in the ICU in a medically induced coma pre COVID from a house fire and 4 days in the ICU + 2 in a regular room were $32,000

Geez, that is a lot. And yes you’re right: my father-in-law had huge bills when his wife was really sick.... even with 80% coverage. We have a HMO (Kaiser) so it’s different. I hope your boyfriend is better now.

He's much better but blood clots in his lungs still. I'm just tallying for those that are careless like Jesss, Coronavirus isn't just a few days in the ICU so it would be MUCH more expensive than that and I almost choked at that bill.

It’s not just you! We’ve canceled and rescheduled trips, only to cancel them again and again. We just cancelled a flight to London for October. That one really hurt, as we’d been planning and saving for that trip for a long time.

They’re fools!!!
