Let's ask the healthcare workers if they are okay with it? Safely going out is fine, but socializing with families from multiples states, running around your vacation area like there's no virus, and immediately hosting a party upon your return is just selfish.

You do what makes YOU feel safe. All of those people know the risks and still want to live their life. Do you really expect everyone to stay home for years on end?

I live in CA and I think he confusion is coming from the fact that Newsome said counties that are on the states "watch list" cannot open until they are off the watch list for 14 days (meaninf no new cases for 14 days) so its not entirely up to each district. If you live in a county that has a signoficant amount of cases everyday, schools are not allowed to open. If there is a district in CA that has schools opening (and there isnt many) it means their county is not on the watch list. And if their cases rise, then they will have to close again.

You’re right. I live in a CA county that is on watch. (We haven’t had indoor seating since mid-March.) The school district that’s open is in El Dorado County, and it’s not on the watch list. My sister, who is an assistant principal there, says it’s the it’s a crazy first day.

I know to some it may seem silly or over dramatic but to me even little things like taking her sons to the store is so irresponsible. I get wanting things to be somewhat normal for kids but taking them to a store full of germs is so stupid. She wonders why there are so many clothes compared to normal? Because most parents care about their kids. And listen, I get going to a store with your child if you can’t help it. Like if you and your partner both work or even if one of you works and the other is home so you have no choice but take them out but in her case there is NO excuse both her and her husband are home. Those kids do not need to go out. My family is extremely lucky as well and we have three people to watch my nephew and we all live together so if one of us goes to the store there is always someone home to stay with my nephew. My nephew has not been in a single store since March and he will continue not to go in until corona is over. Again, I know not everyone is so lucky but Jess is. It’s like she’s asking for dead kids

in Australia Melbourne has less than 10,000 cases and is on complete stage 5 lockdown. Cannot leave your house unless you are an essential worker.
can't imagine how jess would go if she ever came here, people are being crucified and state borders are all shut to stop the spread. Borders all closed when there was only a few hundred cases of the virus.

I don't think they were with Drake because they just got back from Tahoe the day before. And she would definetly make sure they were at a family event. Especially since she has to show up with all the kids when her cousin is getting attention for being pregnant

I agree with you completely. I saw someone up a bit ask if we expected everyone to just stay home until corona is over or managed and the answer is yes. Yes I do expect everyone to stay home except for essential trips and work as necessary. Yes. I do expect people who do not have to leave the home to stay home. Yes. I do expect people to adjust their normal. For the greater good is a concept that selfish Americans have completely lost sight of.
