Why did rash feel then need to tell us that Emma was sick??

Emma probably was sick after she went running around as soon as she was done eating. Plus when I was little we had sit down and wait half an hour before we were allowed to go run around after eating lot of food.

Let’s talk about the birthday party. I will say Emma genuinely looked like she was having a blast. And rash and Justin seemed like they were happy also. And the slide did look fun for the kids.

That being said, I am truly convinced there is a problem going on within their family. Rash and Kaylee seem to be inseparable, and rash and Justine never talk about her sister Katie & dont seem to see much of her (though she does live a ways away), but what about his sister and the boys?? Clearly they were at the party but there was almost no footage of them. Which if Lauren didn’t want them to be on camera, there would be none, so why just a couple quick snippets? And why weren’t either sister up there for the gifts or cake? Even the nephews were barely seen and that’s just odd.

I have theories. 1) maybe Kaylee doesn’t like Katie anymore (they were friends first) for whatever reason, and Rachelle doesn’t like Lauren (jealousy?). But they are obligated to see them occasionally but choose to be somewhat tacky and include them but not really talk to them (uncomfortable much?). 2) Katie and Lauren don’t like each other so rash and Justine don’t really talk to either of them if they’re all together and Kaylee acts as a buffer almost because she’s likable and friendly. 3) maybe Katie and Lauren are to grown adults handling their sh** and since the swans are basically overgrown teenagers playing house, they just stay away.

Honestly, Katie has always seemed fine to me but I can see where she might not be everyone’s cup of tea. I can’t say much else in regards to her. I follow her on insta and she has a dry sense of humor and just living a regular life which is great. But I can see where Katie might would be sick of hearing about Rachelle all the time. I would be. and if Kaylee was her friend first, but ditched her for Rachelle , I can see why she would stay away too.

I follow Lauren also & I do like her. She always seemed like a great mom. I know she has Leo and cj full time, and Aaron Every weekend, but they always seem to be happy together. And she’s mentioned Aaron is special needs. Autism and something else. If you ever see her in the Vlogs she’s always tending to them, she’s doing it alone and she handles it. Plus she works full time (and she just got hired as a ghostwriter she said and not a word of congratulations from them). If I were her I’d be annoyed that my brother and his wife stay home all the time and seemingly don’t offer to help (before the twins were born, and there were times Lauren posted she had to bring her son to work with her) with their nephews, they go on fancy trips and always get gifted things etc. can’t imagine never leaving my home and not offering to watch my nephew so my sister the single mom can go to work. Personally I think Lauren’s life would be more interesting to watch than theirs.

Oh, and I get so sick of them referring to Emma as their rainbow baby. I feel so badly for Emma having to live in the shadow of Brynn. She doesn’t even have her own identity because brynn is right there in her name. Poor girl.

Funny thing in the vlog if you noticed it, when talking about how to clean up the water balloon trash, in the background you see Lauren chasing Leo around. He’s a cutie with the curly hair. She has the cuter kids of the family.

That's fucked up to say. As someone who is a Christian and also infertile, I didn't choose this at all. It is a fucking medical diagnosis and IVF is the only way that I will have a child (trust me, I've tried everything else). I hate Rachelle as much as the rest of you and honestly think she gives women who are dealing with infertility a bad reputation but what you said is extremely wrong. I am getting treatment for my disease (as the CDC identifies it) just like anyone else does.

You know what. Every time something is said about the Trashy’s that someone else happens to be dealing with they always get really defensive. There is no need for that. Obviously I don’t know every single person‘s backstory in this thread, it wasn’t a personal attack on you. We are talking about RACHELLE AND JUSTIN SWANNIE here, not your personal life. When we come to a thread like this on the Internet where we gossip about one particular families life there is no need to bring your emotions or medical diagnosis to the table. Gosh.

I’m sorry you are going through it but I would say this isn’t the place to bring your own personal struggles.

EDIT: perhaps I should have said “ infertile Christian social media influencers” but that would have been too long.

Why was she opening presents from them at her party?? She should have had her presents from them on her actual birthday. Weird

Complaining about having to film set up a couple of tripods outside with cameras, surely thats not that hard. Poor rachelle she works so hard .

Just my two cents because my 3-year old is a rainbow baby. I feel that’s a personal connection between my son and me. With the exception of taking a couple photos of him with a rainbow outside, it’s never mentioned, definitely not mentioned now that he’s no longer a baby. Admittedly, I was tempted to re-use my dad’s name again for my son’s middle, but my husband talked me out of it, thankfully.

I kind of skimmed through their video, they easily spent over $1000 on Emma’s party, including her gifts. That ride-on horse, if it’s the one I’ve seen online, is over $200. She said she was going to plan a small party, but really, this would have been her big party, too, with the same people. So, no real sacrifice.

Did anyone notice when Emma speaks she doesnt open her mouth fully, it seems to e very stiff and she kind of speaks from one side of her mouth?

The birthday throw up. First trash tries to say that Emma threw up because her system isn't used to junk and then she slipped and said that Emma always says "gross" when she throws up. So your kid throws up that much? I bet that's the shitty diet. Her birthday food was cake and chips with a watermelon. I'm pretty sure Emma didn't even have proper meals that day. I didn't see Trash cooking or ordering anything. Should've made a casserole instead of that useless balloon arch.

My daughter is almost 2.5 and she has never thrown up (beyond spit up as a baby). I find it really odd that she throws up often enough to have a regular response to it.

I’m going to throw myself in Rash’s camp for a moment and say the same happened with my son after his 3rd birthday party last weekend. He woke up at 5 AM and came into our room crying, then started throwing up (not food, thankfully, that had been digested). So we learned from that, keep the crap food limited because toddlers can’t handle all that junk like adults can. He grazed on pizza, chicken fingers, fruit juice and cake on and off the whole afternoon into the evening. He doesn’t vomit often, most of the times he does is because he doesn’t chew his food enough and chokes. I’ve noticed Emma is given nuts to snack on, she’s probably gagging on those, along with other foods she’s not old enough for. The last time my son threw up before his party was when he stole a bite from my cashew granola bar.

I have three kids aged 9-12 and never had one throw up during or post party.

Emma’s diet is atrocious, rash can tell herself all she likes that Emma “isnt used to sugar” - but we know better! She survives on prepackaged crap.


Also she claims the colour theme was pink, purple and blue.... why were the balloons pale pale blue and pale pale green?? I didnt see anything else (other than the cake and cookies) that was pink or purple!

Exactly. I thought my kids were weird. But both never threw up, except one time because it was food poisoning from eggs that weren't fresh and I was terrified. If my kid threw up that much I'd think about her diet very hard. I hate how its romanticized in the mainstream culture... like kids are some nasty animals that always have snot and throw up all over them.

Emma is just so far off from a typical 2 year old and it’s so concerning and maybe rachelle doesn’t understand because she never goes out beyond the dollar store and target but seriously..someone hit the nail on the head when talking about how Emma never opens her mouth to speak. She was even babbling “ da-da” at the end of the birthday video..RED FLAGS! Rachelle needs to sit down and teach her things, look them up, interact, show her colors! I’ve done that with my kids, every new stage I will research, get the tools I need and sit down and teach them. Sensory 4 year old + crafts are over her head. It can be simple and affordable. Emma just needs more time with other kids, she is so under stimulated. The flash cards she shows are only good if she uses them daily, multiple times. And enough with the Disney movies.. if you want to put your kid on screen time, put some educational numbers, abc, color, something that will make Emma’s brain think. Every child is different so I understand that, but they are usually not off from more than 6 months of developmental milestones. Emma will probably eventually catch up, but she’s going to be one of those nightmare kids in school that doesn’t want to share, has meltdowns because she was never taught properly. Ugh.

I get that you don’t swaddle babies once they can roll over. Buttttt I think it would be next to impossible to turn over in a snoo? So why unswaddle them? It’s not like they are going into a crib.

ETA: with the snoo they are strapped in (I think) soooo they really can’t roll.
